Bone Issue 1 – “Out From Boneville”

I love Bone I have all 9 BW collections the One Volume Edition and a few of the Scholastic color editions too And now Im still buying it Sure does look nice on that bright screen in beautiful color thanks to colorist Steve Hamakers talents as well as Smiths classic beautiful brushwork Only the first issue unfortunately so we havent met our beautiful protagonist Thorn yet but its a great start that the comic is here at all and I sure hope we see more of it I dont know how were going to fit all 55 issues all as separate apps on here Maybe condensing each volume into nine 6 apps would be better Isnt it called Out From Boneville though Or are we calling this something else                 Awesome

Comic books on iphone Soooooo cool I have enjoyed reading Bone in comic book format as well as this iphone format Cheers           Just what I needed

I work with middle school kids and a they lot read Bone I was wondering why After buying a couple of issues I wondered no more I was so impressed Ive purchased all 11 issues offered through the App store far Actually the first book didnt impress me that much But the more I read the more I fell in love with the caracters and their story And Im normally not a big fan fantasy aka Lord of the Rings type of stories But this is different Besides the adventure it has a gental loving humour that I liked And at the same time there is fun stinging wit too And its not totally politically corrrect In general its wonderful                 Fun for all ages

I had the comic when I was 10 Im amazed to see it has made it to the iPhone after 17 years                 Best comic

I just read this book for the iPod you should make all of em free Please consiter it                 Ftw

Bone is a great comic Dont get me wrong What fails here is the presentation Panels get choped up to provide the reader a full resolution experience but one loses the structure of the story as a result I can see this format working for any consistently paneled comic but not here Sad           The format is what fails

How does a comic book not work with a 1st gen Touch Very disappointed Guess I missed that before I downloaded it but it makes no sense     Not compatible with Touch 10

This might have been an acceptable way to present a comic when the only choice was the iPhone23 screen Thats no longer the case The resolution on the iPad and current iPhone has left this way of presenting the comic outdated and unenjoyable I love Bone and its one of the first comics I wanted to get and read through again on my iPad but Im going to wait for something better to come along     The UCLICK system is showing its age

I am a huge fan of Bone and have been since 1994 I collect all things related to Bone and this is no exception What a wonderful way for me to keep one of the greatest fantasy stories of all time with me at all times I cant wait to have an iPhone filled with every issue of this amazing series                 My two favorite things

i like bone and having it on an iphone would be great but its only the first chapter of the first issue not the entire issue as they advertise this is misleading and annoying since the story stops suddenly just as youre getting interested in it whats the point is this just an advertisement for buying the book     misleading advertising just one chapter of issue 1

It is a great comic but it is one chapter and you read it realy fast              Great

Jeff Smith is a great artist and Bone is a great comic Here its broken up into single panels which is probably the best way to deliver a comic on a small screen like the iPhones I have only one complaint the transitions between each panel arent quick enough which slows down the reading experience You spend as much time watching the panels slide in and out as reading the comic An instant cut to the next image would make for smoother reading              Digital comics done right almost

Id so pay to have a new installment in this format each week awesome I cant wait for more creators to start taking on this iphone single vertical panel as a creative challenge its so cool that bone almost fits it perfectly btw the boy joke panel is out of order                 this is fantastic

This is perfect I absolutely love it The only problem is that it ends                 Love it

man i love this series so much now im going to have to buy an itunes touch or an iphone                 now i have to buy an itunes touch

This is one of the coolest apps I have seen           Great idea but needs new comics

UPDATE With the most recent update to this app it totally works on the 1st Gen iPod Touch Thanks so much for responding so quickly Changed my rating to a 5 I missed that you couldnt use it with an older iPod Touch too Too bad since I was REALLY looking forward to this If you guys could come out with an update that had compatibility with the older iPod that would be awesome but for now I guess I just wasted a dollar                 No iPod Touch 10

Bone is alive and bright on the ipod This is the first chapter and just the beginning of what becomes a very charming fantasy tale with excellent artwork clever writing and well thought out story and character development If you were to purchase the first Bone book in a store this app is equal to 24 pages As much as I really enjoyed the app and Bone comic I cant give it a full 5 star review because the artwork cant really be displayed in its true form in this format If you pick up one of the books and compare it to the app youll see the developers did a nice job preserving as much as they could but much of the artwork just cant be captured on the small ipod screen Aside from that its a wonderful introduction to this colorful tale for kids and adults And I will confess this one app inspired me to buy all 9 of the Bone books I hope you enjoy as much as I did              Well done considering the format

I love this story and the way its told but I dont recommend purchasing it in this format until all installments are available        Excellent but limited

Ive liked work by Frank Miller and Alan Moore and I liked Cerebus years ago I read this and just found it boring        Not That Great

I like it so much I love bone books I love it I did not no that I could get it on my iPod touch                 Love it
