This looks and sounds just like Space Invaders did when it came out back in 1978 Well worth the 499 if you are looking for a true replication of the original arcade game                 Excellent Recreation

Great game but has a few little bugsThose who keep having problems just shut off your iPad and start fresh it seems to cure the crashing issueThe second problem is if you are using a dock like I am the controls are not displayed unless you undock it My guess it thinks its plugged into the Arcade game dock Not a bad gameIt brings back my memories of staying up until 4AM playing our Atari 2600 MT              fun game old classic is back

You call this latest tweak an upgrade to the graphics Not on the iPad it isnt The cabinet graphics looked good before but now all of the images are jagged lowres 2x iphone graphics at best This new upgrade looks much worse than before Please make the cabinet graphics HD for the iPad again not this lowres crap The moment I downloaded this latest update and realized how bad it was I deleted the game from my iPad Nice upgrade     New update crappy lowres graphics

Sadly this game is nothing compared to space invaders it seams to be a cheap remake that put together over night to make a quick buck or should i say a uick 5 bucks a pop very over priced Dont even get me started with the many glitches and bugs Waste of five dollars And to be completely honest your probably better off buying that moc game space inversion 2     Negative

I have contacted this company many times asking them to fix the games performance problem on the iPad 3 4 The iPads i used to test the game had clean installs of iOS 6 on them in order to make sure that no 3rd party software could interfere with the games performance The game performs correctly only on the iPad 1 2 Here is the latest response from this stupid company We have reviewed the latest version of the Space Invaders HD app on both the iPad 3 and 4 both using the latest version of iOS and our response is the same as it was on October 30 2012 the game performs as expected Several other reviewers have also noted this performance problem as well It is amazing to me that a company would blatantly deny that there is no performance issue with this game on the iPad 3 4 I will contact Apple and ask them to pull this game from the store because of this companys unwillingness to acknowledge the problem and fix it     Performance issue on the iPad 3 4

Its hard to kill the last invader when you can only shoot one laser at a timeplease fixI loved this game on the 2600controls just dont feel right Too slow        Could be better

Space invaders was the first console game I played The controls on the iPad version are sluggish and the fire control is sluggish Id like my 299 back     Booooooo

I enjoy this game but I mainly got it for my dad We went out and bought a whole new iTunes card just for this game and he had just brought home an iCade the day before I was very disappointed when I connected it with my iPad and my arcade didnt do a thing I do see that an invadercade is coming out but what about those of us who already have both a docking station and iCadelike arcade We dont wanna buy another one even though my dad loves space invadersbut only the original Speaking of my father he was the most disheartened when he couldnt go back to the 7080s when he sat for hours trying to master this game at the gas station I ask that you please make this game iCade compatible and I understand it is a very simple process to do so This is all I ask and Id be very grateful if this can be done Thank you for your time        Disheartened

The resolution is worse than on an iPhone app 2x The secret features namely the images of the brochure sketches etc are so low in resolution that they cannot even be read The game is horribly pixelated Not the screen itself after all it is a classic game but the surrounding graphics including the controls THESE ARE NOT iPad quality graphics here There is no reason why the images or the game graphics surrounding the game screen have to look SO BAD 5 is a rip off for this game Make the graphics the proper resolution and then maybe it is worth it After all the game plays ok but it does not fill the screen So if you dont fill the screen with the game and choose to add graphics around it make them at least sharp Fix it in an update I want my money back     For the iPad IPhone apps do better scaled up

Contrary to the other reviews on my new iPad retina the speed is ferocious right off the batthe saucers zip across the screen and the laser base moves way too fast Bullets are about right speed but thats all HUGE disappointment for 5 bucks Get the iPhone version works great on my iPhone 5     Loved the iPhone version but

This seems like an ideal game to provide iCade support I am not sure why this is missing Also a lack of true full screen mode make this feel more like a cruel joke Sorry maybe the next evolution        Not quite like being there just yet

Unfortunately this game can only be played in portrait Should also have an option to play it in landscape Also the controls are difficult to work and navigate effectively I would not recommend this until its upgraded to be more user friendly Not worth the 499 in the current format        Doesnt work well with ipad2

They did a decent job of recreating the original game but this is alpha quality software The program routinely gets in a messed up state where I cannot run it As soon as I launch it it crashes Even removing it from the list of running programs doesnt correct the situation I have to reboot my iPad to reset it Too frustrating to use If it werent for that Id give it 3 or 4 stars        Decent but alpha reliability

Im enjoying the game However there is one little bug When you achieve a new high score and the game ends then close the app and return your high score will no longer be there A WORKAROUND can be achieved by getting the high score game ends but instead of closing the app start a new game This will save your high score A fix will get a 5star rating from me              Good but needs a fix to be great

Was a great game and worth the money on iPads 1 2 I bought an iPad 3 and the game is horrible The bullets shoot very slow nowhere near as fast as they did before and the horizontal slider is also very slow A total waste of money Maybe for the price they charge they should make it work in the new iPads     Does Not Work on IPad 3
