CHAOS RINGS Ω for iPad

Even though a lot of old content was reused it has been refreshed and feels new The story and multiple other elements are totally new The new special effects are especially pleasing to look at                 Something old feels new

I cant save my game Every time I try too the app crashes     App crashing when I try to save

For an iPad game this sure looks dated Even on my iPad 2 the backgrounds look Bad Update this game so it uses better looking environment details and Ill update my review The game pretty much should have been DLC to the first game Same idea same places same enemies so it definitely doesnt feel like they SquareEnix put much thought into this one So much potential to expand but I guess that doesnt matter to them now If the really wanted money they should just port Final Fantasy VII to iOS improve the graphics fix the bugs from the first game add some appropriate goodies and BOOM EVERYONE WILL BUY IT In its current state I cant suggest buying this I remember playing the first Chaos Rings on my iPhone and not being able to decide which looked better the iPhone or iPad version With this its painfully clear to me the only thing they cleared up was the dialog portraits and the character graphics a little The environment backgrounds are the same as the iPhones I even question if the iPhone version supports the retina display My advice Wait till they do something about the crappy look of this one Then it might be worth a look     Horrible looking

Wonderful story Olgar and Vahtis history adds so much to the already wonderful plot laid out in chaos rings Excellent new characters and enemies along with what made the first game so great kept me hooked to the end Looking forward to Chaos Rings 2 Price may seem steep on these games but both times I am totally glad I bought them I have a new wonderful experience to add to the repertoire of storys I look back fondly upon                 Amazed again

The game is just brilliant but whats with the enforced Japanese voices that eat up all my iPad space On a16gb iPad space does matter Please allow us to delete the voices from inside the app atleast or rather make the voices an in app downloadthe game is almost three times its normal size Please fix it n I will gladly rate it a well deserved 5 star     Delete voices option

Ive been playing for over two and a half weeks and still the game continues Never gets boring and is always fun and new swords and armor and rings keep you entertained Story line is practically infinite A must buy for roleplaying fans                 Best game ever NO JOKE

Even with so much reuse of assets from the original I couldnt stop playing The story is great and theres new assets at the end Finished the main scenario this weekend Given the way that the ark tournament is setup reuse of the assets actually makes sense and the way they were reused was brilliant Eagerly awaiting chaos rings 2 but if its not chock full of new content I doubt Ill be anywhere near as impressed                 Love it

I would love to give this game 5 stars however due to the inability to complete the game I can only give it 1 star Ive tried several time to complete it but it continues crashing during the final cutscene Other than that its a great game and has an excellent story Once they fix the crashing problem its absolutely worth 5 stars For 1499 please fix this major crashing issue     Frustrating

After sampling quite a few other iOS games most of which I DID enjoy but failing to find one that scratched my JRPG itch Chaos Rings hit the spot To be perfectly clear this is a JRPG not an open world romp like The Elder Scrolls or its ilk A large portion of your time will be spent listening to or reading character dialogue viewing mostly static character portraits and navigating linear dungeons The battle system is also very much JRPG in origin These however are not detriments depending on your preferences Personally I enjoy them as a different experience than the open world real time RPGs Ive been playing of late a nice splash of nostalgia In my opinion Chaos Rings bears stronger relation to the Final Fantasys of old than the current crop of actual Final Fantasy games The basic gist of the story is simple an unknown power has collected powerful individuals in pairs and is pitting them against monsters and each other with only one pair standing in the end promised immortality for victory and oblivion for failure The interactions the pairs have amongst themselves and the other pairs make up the bulk of the development and does a good job of remaining entertaining and moving the story along Combat too is simple at its core but in a largely satisfying way Basically it is the turn based command guided combat you remember from the older caste of JRPG with its own twists to the original formula At the beginning of each turn you can select for your pair to act together or individually Acting together can give you an advantage or leave you more vulnerable to damage depending on when you use it Acting individually can often allow you to be more flexible Otherwise its the usual selection of attack abilities Genes defense and items Character customization is limited to equipment and Genes Genes allow you to alter what abilities are available to each character and are obtained by defeating various foes They can also be leveled to gain new abilities from that Gene Finally the game is divided into dungeons and the hub area The hub area is barring certain events a combat free zone that largely serves to allow you to buy and sell items and learn more of the story as well as access the various dungeons Dungeons are largely straight forward linear affairs sprinkled with puzzles and loot Puzzles from what Ive encountered at least are fairly simple sometimes challenging isometric box puzzles with a limited number of moves Fortunately you can reset the puzzle at any time or even skip it though you forfeit the puzzles reward I hope this review answers any questions about the game If I come across anything to add Ill update the review                 Just what I was looking for

I have thoroughly enjoyed this game and its well worth the money The story is better and the levelups are no longer exponential For those who think its going to turn out just like the first one youre wrong While four of the areas you visit are the same one new area the story is completely different and will keep you on your toes especially with boss fights My sole complaint is that there are only two stories one of which has little to do with the entire game thus lowering the games replayability While they did reveal higher levels and secret bosses to come every month I hope they add a little more especially with the new characters they introduced Other than that if you are a chaos rings fan you should get this game                 Better than the first storywise

Ive played every aspect of the previous title and I picked up this iteration expecting more of the same Yes it is the same Ark with the same bunch of critters But the story ah the story it is absolutely amazing and refreshingly original even when compared to the previous title This and the previous title are both well worth the money                 I dont know where the negative reviews are coming from

Title says it all However lots of the elements in the game are just recycling the previous game enemies most of the music skills and even equipments Plot design is EXCELLENT just like the style of Square Enix One suggestion to SE INVEST MORE MONEY ON RECRUITING iOS DEVELOPERS OR YOU ARE GIVING UP A PLATFORM THAT HAS A HUGE MARKET SHARE IN THE FUTURE GAMING INDUSTRY                 Great as the previous game

It may not be as big as the previous title not it was still good I liked the different story line and introduction to young Olgar and Vahti Problem that I had is that the experience is exactly the same as the previous title I was expecting some major improvement but theres harpy any Story and the art is excellent but game play can use some refinement Also I didnt like the iPad conversion of the game Background is fantastic but 3D character in this game is often too pixilated except for detail in the face Im still giving 5stars because the production value is high and I want games like this to keep coming over iOS devices Keep up the good work SQ and Ill be waiting for DLC                 I liked it

I buy a game to be entertained This game gets into opinions on religion I dont need that in a game I buy games to relax and have fun not to hear political viewpoints or making opinions on what is a myth Thus 2 stars Over all the game is basically the first game not allot of difference besides the story The music is great and battles pretty good but do repeat allot        Build Games Not Viewpoints

At first i didnt like the game But as it went on i began to love it I like how the story develops interestingly Youll never know what to expect Everything is unpredictable For the gameplay i finally understood how everything works lol but i wish you can have three characters though For the graphics i definitely love it especially those big monsters              Pretty good

Now before I bought this game for the full price of 1499 I did some research to really see if it was worth the money Many people said oh the graphics make it seem dated or oh its not worth the money When I started playing this game and really got into the story I didnt give a crap about what those people said The story is so well written it makes the game worth it As for the graphics you wont care after your fighting the BA bosses It brings me back to the good ol Final Fantasy games thanks to square Enix But I have to admit I did not play the first Chaos Rings as I heard there were too many similarities between the two games So I went with the cheaper one as I encourage other first time chaos rings players to do This is one if not my favorite game on the app store I highly recommend it                 Still Impressed Recommended

If you have played the original Chaos Rings you know what you are going to be getting In fact you know a bit too well what what you are going to be getting The environments and enemies are largely the same for a good portion of the game but it makes up for it towards the end of the game and after beating it There are some new features such as a collection of good for PuiPui after you beat the game the ability to turn the random battles on and off and enter a battle whenever you choose as you progress into the game I really enjoyed the first game and initially was not impressed with this one After playing for a little while it steadily grew on me till I now like this version much more than the first although the lack of new environments for most of the game is extremely disappointing Also having played the original iPhone version of Chaos Rings on my iPad and this version being iPad specific the difference in resolution and textures is not worth the additional price              Disappointing at first but gets much better

Therell be plenty of reviews here about the game itself so I will write for those who think about one simple question iPad or iPhone I was thinking that myself and since I have original Chaos Rings in iPhone version Ive decided to try iPad instead Now I can safely assure you skip iPad and go for iPhone As original Chaos Rings looks great on iphone Im almost sure Omega will look great either Oт the iPad however it looks awfully square Weather FX snow the most is simply pixels Giant bulky pixels Models look very pixelated too Backgrounds are different some look pixelated and some are terribly pixelated Im sure if they just used photoshop to enlarge small pics the result would look better in the case of the game it seems they used some i cant even think about proper example So If youre Chaos Rings fan or want to try this game for the first time go for iPhone version It looks better and is even cheaper And if youll run it on the iPad with doublepixel mode 2x button the result would be pretty much the same as this native version I hope Square will do a better job in Chaos Rings II that was announced not long ago the trailer looked better at least I love the idea of playing games like this on the iPad it should be a better experience then iPhone but with realization like this current effort it just doesnt make sense Even having a myopia and looking on iPad without glasses I still see A LOT of pixels Only stretching my hands and holding iPad far enough makes a little sense But then iPad looks tiny as iPhone being hold closer And retina on iPhone does a great job too A pity              Square iPhone or iPad

Im 17 years gamer and this is one of the worst game Im ever play The story is not bad BUT the graphics is to badmj limit option fighting system even its RPG few items you can buy bad map very bad sounds you cant restore your magic power unless going back to your base or using a very limit potion Finally as I said this game is from our near bakery not square enix     I cant believe this is from square enix

it does feel a bit like a quick cash grab Omega has the feel of an expansion more than a full game that stands on its own I still enjoyed the story graphics and gameplay Looking forward to the true CR sequel Lets hope we get innovation over refinement              Good game but

Finished the game in less than 24hrs only contains 1 story line veigvahtiolgar and an extra game where you collect items from piu piu The extra game is fun and humorous but the game itself lacks depth And for 15 bucks I think its a bit overpriced and not as satisfying as the original Die hard fans of the original craving a chaos rings fix will enjoy what is here but would have appreciated being able to play as another couple with their own unique storyline Also Vahti needs to look a bit more pregnant for the whole Ohm story to be plausible Meh hope a deeper version comes out and the price is more appropriate           Fun but Lacking Depth You Would Expect from SquareEnix

Game was good Not great as I had much better gameplay with the other SquareEnix downloads that I actually paid more for Linear game but the graphics are FANTASTIC Dont get me wrong I thoroughly enjoyed the game Beat it with only 18 hours of gameplay though I was expecting more of a Final Fantasy experience so I guess i should have researched it more maybe              Good but not SquareEnix Good

I have over 10 hours into and there is still more to to I think the best thing about the game is number of monsters to battle I am not saying that there was not reuse but that throughout the game there was constantly new creatures Also the story line was great and kept me coming back Recommended for anyone who wants a real RPG experience on the iPad I used the iPad HD 3 and it worked flawlessly                 Great JRPG

I was a big fan of the original Chaos Rings but Chaos Rings Omega literally reused everything from the original and simply changed the characters The environment enemies and narrative are all incredibly familiar I gladly paid the full price for Chaos Ring but Chaos Ring Omega is certainly not worth 1499 Last but not least please do not trick customers into thinking that the iPad version is in HD when everything looks bluntly pixelated Overall I am greatly disappointed     Greatly Disappointed

I like the story its a little different from the original because of different characters Each play through is different with each character My only complaint is the Japanese voices It takes too much space I cant even understand what they are saying Either make it optional to download them or remove them or add English           Voices
