ABC Flashcards

In my opinion it has to many buttons It would be great if you could slide your finger to get to the next letter I wish that it would say the letter automatically when it appears as opposed to having to hit the play sound button or that it would at least have a menu button where you could choose your own settings for such features Other than that it is a nice little application           To Many Buttons

I am leaving out any all technical criticisms only a few Simply put the app works as it should My 4 year old son plays with it almost everyday The tracing feature has really improved his skill His day care class is simply amazed at how the app works and how quickly little tots take to the UI Thanks for a app that little kids actually use              Excellent app for my 4 year old Good Price

ARGH The S shows a shark but it doesnt make the SH sound I hope this is corrected Its annoying Also the vowels should be kept either long or short           ok

this app is wonderful for small children but a nice clear voice telling them what the letter is would make this perfect              Looks great but needs sound

My youngest likes it but the trace feature is very buggy and creates problems when you trace then go to the back side as it wont let you select a new letter only trace Fix that and I would give it 4 stars UPDATE PLEASE Weeks later the bugs are still not fixed I am keeping at one star until this simple fix is fixed     Not bad but buggy

I love this app As a teacher of phonics I just wish it would let you pick from saying the letter and saying the sound that the letter makes I love that you can trace the letter Tracing the letter and saying the sounds help the child remember what sound the letter makes I think that my daughter would benefit from tracing the letter and saying the sound since I teach the sounds of the letters instead of the name This helps in early reading I have four children and three of them were taught phonics and they were all reading simple things before kindergarten I really think that it would be a great benefit for the app to be able to have a choice              sounds

When I got the app and was playing it it did have issues When you go back to the main page you can rechoose a letter with out a restart I also wish it was more stable in the tracing But when I showed my kids they loved it Little things bug me but I am not playing it From a 4 year old view its awesome and thats all that matters              Kids love it

I think this is a good on the go style learning app but needs to be more stable I have never been able to walk my 4 yr old through more than about 10 letters before the app crashes and I am taken back to the main iPhone home screen Also when I have gone through a few letters allowing my son do the tracing and return to the blackboard there is blue trace lines all over it The only way I have found to delete these lines is to exit the program and restart This includes the double tap feature used to clear the lines from the selected letter screens           App crashes

Im the nanny to a three year old little girl who absolutely loves this app She has gotten so good at tracing She is so proud when she says the letter then plays the sounds and gets it right This App is a very good teaching tool                 My three year old loves it

My three year old can scribble over the screen and write over lettersinferior     Not impressed

For me this app was a waste of money When starting the app I was allowed to choose a letter but then was required to proceed sequentially through the remainder of the alphabet there is no shuffle Worse when backing out to the menu I could not choose a second letter without a complete restart Nonfunctional     Starts poor finishes worse

On one hand my 3year old son loves the bright blue drawing he gets to do with this app and it does seem hes learning from it On the other hand it crashes a lot allows him to paint aimlessly and lacks navigation as other reviewers have said Im going to try another app thats more expensive and see how that goes I think I saved too much money           Mixed opinion

This is a nice effort in that the font voice and photos are very clear and my 35 yo can figure out how to flip the cards and get the sound to play But it really needs a better navigation system for moving from card to card Its awkward to go back to the main screen Others others have said this would benefit a lot from a swipe navigation that is randomized so a child can easily move through the flashcards           Nice grasp of concept needs better navigation

I bought this for my 4 year old and she loves it Its also isnt over 20 MB like the other flashcard apps Ive seen Is there anyway you could add lower case flashcards to trace too though              Great app

When you go back to Choose a letter page you cant choose a letter It would scribble on the page instead     Buggy

Not impressed bought 4 hours ago for my prek 5 year old No random feature for flash cards If I could I would return for my 99 back Also play sound didnt work but worked in my other apps     Eh

The constant flipping makes me nauseous           Too much flipping

Dont waste your money You have to choose a letter from the main menu and manually cycle through them forwards or backwards in sequential order     Waste of Money

Please fix The a on the chalkboard is normal but the version on the flashcard is TYPESET and not the version any schoolchild is taught in school           a inconsistency

good learning app but crashes after every 5 letters        app could be better

Good app not great but could get there What I like Consistent interface its easy to show a child where to press to listen where to press to see the picture etc colorful nice illustrations good choice of words What I dont like I dont like having to back to the abc screen everytime to get to another letter how about using my finger ala the photo app interface how about a real flashcard mode random from letter to letter instead of always going back to the ABC screen to pick another letter how about a test mode Show the picture and the child has to guess the correct letter it starts with from a few options seems to go into draw mode every once in a while Since there is no documentation I have no idea what its doing your finger creates a bluedrawing line everywhere           Good could be great

Good idea but bad execution The program crashed on me a few times It might be better if there were lower case letters too        Not worth it
