This app used to work pretty well They changed it now to force you to watch a crappy video ad for Toyota which hasnt changed in about a year It used to play only before video news clips Now it comes up randomly No thanks you dont get to burn my data Uninstalled        Forced Video Ads

I moved from WRAL app because it kept crashing ABC11 news app was solid in late 2014 Now theres too many ads as has been said plus the same two top story news pictures keep showing up on different stories that have nothing to do with the photo picture of soldier at Fort Bragg with story about not drinking well water near Duke Power coal ash pond for instance Ill look somewhere else for news     Too buggy

You woke me at 2AM last night with an amber alert alarm about a child who by the way was found perfectly safe I asleep in my bed could have done nothing anyway to help I can find no way to disable these middle of the night alarms without turning off my phone Do Not Disturb did mot prevent it either I have erased you so it will not happen again     I just erased this because of an intrusive alarm

After the the update I hadit went completely dark All I got was a black screen Please help I wont recommend at all     Good app but

I used the WRAL app for years back when it was the only choice but the obnoxiously flashing blinking jiggling ads finally drove me away I can get the same news here and although there are still ads at least they are respectfully and professionally presented That is they dont flashblinkwiggle trying to get your attention This newer app is also an improvement over ABC 11s old app and looks a lot better I just wish there were a way to prioritize alerts I dont need to be alerted every time theres an apartment fire in the city              Pretty good

Not sure what has happened to this app but now I am getting multiple notifications on every alert It sends the breaking news alert and then immediately sends it again Ridiculous Have trouble opening the articles I want to read so get frustrated and just go to WRAL This app needs to be fixed     Too Many Notifications

Any app whose primary function is to deliver the news should NEVER mix in an ad that appears to be news but is actually just a sales pitch selling car insurance and other stuff with the regular news     Makes ads appear as though they are news

Every event is followed by 3 notifications one right after the other Expect to receive teo or three notifications of the same event in less than 5 seconds This is annoying Other than that it kind of works well        Notifications are a big issue

I mostly like this app a lot but I have one major complaint I like getting breaking news alerts but when I click on them as they come in they do not take me to that story In fact I have yet to be able to find the breaking story in the app when I get an alert This is very frustrating           Please fix

Ever since the last app update all my news stories that come to me as bannersalerts have been resending all of the days headlines and breaking news stories with each new story So I am getting about 6 alerts for every 1 new alert The latest app update needs a bug fixes update     ABC11 update needs an update

After last update cannot modify notifications Very annoying at 2am when phone starts chiming due to breaking news No way to adjust in settings Will be deleting app soon if not corrected     Last update is horrible

Every time you tap to get info pix etc with in the story the app turns the rotation even if ipad is in locked position Then you have to go through the complete retune to get back This new version is lame I am going to delete if you wont fix     Very BAD

I cannot share news stories to Facebook or Twitter Everything else is great Please fix           Facebook share problem

I used this app for a month and deleted it because they dont update the news regularly and sometimes only a portion of the text is displayed In addition I dont there is much diversity in the news they report Im sure that there are more interesting things to report on and I found it strange that although crimes are committed by a variety of people you only seem to see mugshots for minorities Crimes committed by nonminorities may or may not have a mugshot Youll more likely see other general icons a police car handcuffs etc instead of a mugshot Seemed sorta discriminatory to me Especially once I read the same stories on another local news app and noticed how different they were     Poor app

When it works it works well Stories sometimes wont load when selected leaving users to select a story above or below the desired one then having to scroll left or right to navigate back to the one you want gets old Also users use the last updated time as an indicator that new content was added to an existing story it would be nice to know what was added maybe new stuff in a different color since often it seems only a new word was added which has no bearing on the story as a whole Otherwise its a crappy tactic to get users to open the stories repeatedly           In need of revamp

Quick and accurate notifications for breaking news and weather stories easy to read and live streaming of newscasts                 One of the best local news apps

Enjoy ABC11 news but the app has too many bugs for too long now Wont open suddenly closes freezes cant select an article Please fix     Ugghhh

WTVD is the best news station in the Triangle and because it belongs to Durham                 EXCELLENT

Worked great for the first few days now it just spins I deleted and reinstalled with same results        Inconsistent app

App functions well and I like WTVD but I had to disable notifications because I started getting alerts about who won the Nobel prize for at inappropriate times Hhhhhhh     Notifications start at 500 am

Used to work fine for getting live newscast Not so much now As far as breaking news alerts I never did see stories to go with it Couldnt even find them searching the site           Keeps crashing

Started getting this morning rush piece of junk that just repeats the notifications Ive already acknowledged I really used to like how I only got relevant notifications about traffic weather etc Now in their rush to beat other outlets theyve started morning rush game notifications must see videos etc Asked for help disabling some of these notifications but never got any responses So I just deleted it and went to another app Push notifications are often so vague compared to other apps They seem more designed to get a click through versus giving you enough info to decide if you want to click Girl Dies in Wreck Other apps notifications tell you where and when which let me decide if its relevant to me Breaking alerts rarely take me the the story I have to close the app and restart in order to click on some stories Some of them for some reason just wont open There seem to be at least one or two major grammatical and or spelling mistakes in each article I read No one proofs Theres no tech support Ive written in several times but never get responses     Downgrading due to incessant notifications

Does not show WX for my area Loading my city fails to load any data No local news only the typical leftleaning triangle tripe WX maps dont size wpinching Basically a worthless APP that is much worse than Weather Channel product     Raleigh centric left leaning
