This app just deleted ALL my contacts I want my money back absolute CRAPPPPPPPP     CRAP CARP Ayinde the 1st

iTunes and iCloud had a competition with my address book and I ended up with duplicated entries I have over 500 On top of that before I realized this I had edited some on the iCloud iPhone side and others on the mac side Plus added some new ones What I ended up with was a mess If I had to resolve all of this by hand it would have taken an entire day Using this App it resolved all of that in about 30 minutes Hint while this worked 100 I still recommend doing an export before you begin just in case This was well worth the 4 99 It save me hours of pain                     To the rescue marcus_aus

I dont know how I got to such a crazy situation But all of my contacts were not doubled not tripled but quadrupled It was driving me crazy I bought this app out of desperation and It worked awesome It pointed out for me all of the options 1 exact duplicates 2 seemigly duplicate 3 possible duplicates The exact duplicates I just deleted all in one click The possible and seemingly duplicates I was easily and simply able to browse and delete what I didnt want It showed me a clear picture of the 2 contacts so I can easily see and decide what should be kept and what deleted Truly AMAZING                     Amazing dBoss_23

was very frustrated this stopped working in Mountain Lion still does not work in Mavericks Just checked out the website where it says you have to add ABC to the list of allowed applications in contacts in system preference Security and Privacy Now it s working again and going through my 4000 names                     OSX 10 8 and 10 9 Users need to add permission in system preferences Danimatian

Out of the 3 products on the App Store that do this function this is the best one it s the only one that allows you to merge fields from 1 contact entry to another and does it brilliantly Works EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD I LOVE IT Now that iCloud backups and FaceBook Twitter contacts are heavily duplicated on Mac s these days this product should do very well best to know this is the best one out of all the choices Get it anyone giving it bad reviews is just crazy                     The Best Duplicate Remover Definitely Friendly Neighborhood App Reviewer

I purchased this app at 9AM and by 9 15AM I had cleared 54 duplicates out of my contacts I also used a couple of times the ability to move a specific item say home phone from one near duplicate to the other to make for a more complete contact For me this app worked flawlessly and quickly                     Perfect reacher fan

Years of MobileMe syncing between a number of devices had made a mess of my contacts I had given up on trying to cleanup the duplicates I plan on putting iCloud on a work Win machine and figured I better cleanup what I have first I had read all of the reviews for Address Book Clearout and was comparing this app to a similar app with a higher avg rating at the same price Address Book Clearout was on sale at the time I needed a tool and purchased this app I just finished cleaning up my address book and am astounded at how well this application works I do not write a review unless I am TRULY impressed I am THAT impressed I can t rationalize the discrepancy between my experience and the negative reviews The developers have written a well thought out solid app Based on the version I used I find it hard to believe that the application was that awful in earlier versions but it s possible I m concerned that iCloud may produce the same mess of my contact that MobileMe did but having used this app to cleanup the huge mess that I had in about an hour including typing this review I m not worried about about fixing the duplicates if it happens                     I am so glad I went with my gut and ignored the negative reviews BluToof

I was hesitant after reading the reviews but decided to try it After my first use it has worked just fine It has solved my two biggest issues with Address Book The first is that it finds duplicates and actually lets you compare and adjust the entries unlike Apples Merge or Cancel options which are totally NOT helpful I want to see which entries are duplicates and this does the trick The second is that it actually shows me which categories the contact has been assigned to I have multiple categories and it has always frustrated me that Address Book couldn t tell me which categories a contact was assigned to This nice app does that for me The speed seemed just fine as well I am very pleased with my first experience Well worth 7                 Works for me Media Producer

I decided to give this app a try despite the poor reviews for the earlier version and it worked It cleaned up 154 duplicates from my address book in just a few minutes It did crash after the cleanup when I was checking tos ee what other options there were so your mileage may vary             Not perfect but does what is says on the tin Colin Gallagher

I m not sure what problems the other people have been having but Clearout has worked great for me I had a huge overlap in entries Clearout made it very easy to view the list of entries and show me duplicates The most helpful past was being able to easily determine which address book the entry was from                     Clearout has been a huge help TGagle
