I m genuinely not sure why this app has so many bad reviews I ve used it for my on the go language needs for three years including during two years of language school If a person has a knowledge of the Arabic root system you can usually at least find the general meaning of the word if not its exact definition And actually the dictionary is not arranged by Arabic root which as an English speaker makes it easier to use in my opinion My only complaints are 1 a few spelling errors in the English definitions 2 sometimes when my phone disconnects from wifi it sends me to a weird screen and acts like it s not going to work anymore but it still does work                 Works for me Jenrenthehen

Supposedly this app translates English to Arabic Arabic to English Now and for some reason it s not seeing the Arabic keyboard That means I can t translate from Arabic to English     It s not seeing my Arabic keyboard Desertstorm222

I wonder why this company doesn t make an app for the Al Mawrid Al Akbar that allow students to have a massive dictionary in their pockets and whatever the price of such app will be it is going to be much better than a big book with very thin papers that make it really hard to handle and use     Better Dictionary by simply bigger data Saeed Q.

I do not recommend this app because it is of no help It does not include contexts of words in the translations The translation is of no help to me I search how to say play in Arabic and it just gives me a list of uncontextualized arabic words Some refer to playing as in enjoying oneself Others refer to play as in theater And so forth Which word should i use for which situation The app doesnt give me a single clue A complete waste of money     No help Sarashee

There is definitely a lot of material in Al Mawrid Al Qareeb and the presentation isn t bad However there are some glaring functional omissions in this application in order that it may truly function as a pocket English Arabic Dictionary and replacement for the printed variety The biggest flaw is namely that none of the nouns indicate the plural form of the word That mistake aside there are also many common words I ve come across in everyday colloquial Levantine and Gulf Arabic speech that do not appear in this book The developers need to polish off the content a bit more before they can use the name Al Mawrid connoting the comprehensiveness of the printed version for this iOS app         There is a need for a comprehensive Arabic e dictionary This isn t it newyork10r

Best app I ve ever paid for I bought it in 2nd year Arabic class and used it constantly for class It s better than carrying around a dictionary I d pay for Hans too I ve downloaded it on every iPad and iPhone since then Used it for 7 years and it only gets better As I ve traveled translated and learned new worlds I ve found it always helpful There s flash cards and a history of words looked up which are a great way to look up new vocab you ve found recently Honestly I usually go for free apps but I ve never regretted the 14 I spent on this app                     Useful comprehensive Best app for students aisha^_^

Works great Here are a few things to be pointed out 1 It is an offline dictionary Doesn t require internet access 2 It does not have an Arabic keyboard but that is because it uses the iOS system keyboard so if you need to input in Arabic don t complain just go to settings and add the Arabic keyboard some reviewer was complaining 3 The user interface is not very neat and isn t redesigned for iOS 7 yet But who cares as long as it works well 4 Do not expect to find a whole lot of medical terminology in it you ll be disappointed 5 It is more than a translation tool if you spend the time to learn the rest of the tools included you ll realize how handy the app is 6 There are instances of words merged together errors but that only showed up a couple of times 7 I use this in addition to Google Translate not one or the other Note I am a native Arabic speaker I use the dictionary mainly from English to Arabic So not sure if point 7 above apply from Arabic to English Hope this helps                     Great tool iDon.Mac
