Purchased an amp and effect but they didnt work I had to uninstall and reinstall the app and now it works great I wish apps purchased for free version could be used on pay version of amplitude              Pretty cool

This is a joke I can understand maybe charging one price for a app but come on I bought a irig off EBay and downloaded this free version to check it all out Figured I would like to play with the different amps and was excited to use the studio portion Well everything costs more money Want to use the studio 27 or so Wants a different amp 8 a amp Want to use different drums More more more You could end up spending a fortune I wish they would just bring the price down to a more reasonable price for a phone app and just make it a one purchase deal     Greed

I bought the iRig thinking it was going to work as advertisedWrong The app is so flawed The effects are limiting and buying effects becomes expensive Then when launching the app a second time there was no sound when you plug in your instrument Seems like many had this problem when I read the reviews afterward I wish I should of read the reviews before buying Please dont wast your money there are better choices out there     Worst investment

On IPhone 4 it still crashes at startup and wont even let you get into the app        Still crashes

I was excited to download the JH Marshall amp and with eager anticipation plugged in multiple times over a month to no avail it sounds identical to the stock amp set to clean No tweaking on any settings make a difference twist the gain up may as as well say a prayer no change in sound Id rate as a 1 and the app is not completely worthless However its a lot of and hassle not to be able to mess with your tone        No purchased amps work

The guitar amps seem to do really well But the bass amp and cabs are pretty crummy Cant get decent tone just sounds muddy No issues using other amps with same bass        Good for guitar crummy for bass

I waited for a sale and got the Orange pack inside of the free Amplitube 699 is worth the upgrade Might try the recording DAW later on This free app and others can hold you over depending on your requirements Its great for recording riff ideas Im using an iPhone 4s and first edition iRig              Orange

The app works great but it crashes when i try to play along with the drums              Its awsome but needs bug repairs

The new update make a new look better more options If you are a bass player you have two options for bass cab free 1x 15 8x10 one bass head You got more options to mix your record on the EQ section The cabs heads sound much better with the new update              Perfect for practique at home

Update I reinstalled the app and the knob fuzziness cleared up I agree with another reviewer that the bass guitar sound is often muddy It is sometimes a little distorted on the extreme low end this could also be the iPhone limitations I think it must lose something between the cabinet and the mic in their sample Also it would be nice to bypass the cabinet and just use the head It has a funny frequency in the bass sound that is hard to EQ out I do like the Ultimate Tuner thats in the app but could care less for the drums and recorder for now They should have put the effort in making it a great bass app before moving on to drums and recording It might be good for professional use like some of the other apps I have for Bass Guitar I just havent tried it yet on stage              New Version May Work Better

This app is actually pretty amazing for the price with a powerful recording interface Yes almost everything in it is an inapp purchase Would be nice if several of those were just included But overall its a great recording app with tons of customizable options Very fun to use with Audiobus              Great for the price

I love every aspect of this app I recommend it to everybody I come in contact with in the music business My only negative comment is my fingers are too fat for my iPhone 5s I need to get a pad Keep making a fantastic product and you can guarantee I will use it THANK YOU                 FANTASTIC PRODUCT

Im using this with the cheapest iRig I could find to pull audio from a mixer Controls are a little difficult to use but I attribute that to the iPod Touch form factor not this app I dont do any mixing or more than the barest level setting For my use I have no complaints Would be great if the app was available for more than niche products like apple ie mainstream consumer devices              No complaints

I have recently purchased the iRig at my local Guitar Center for 1999 figured it looked fun I downloaded the free version of this app on here and have noticed it comes with 3 pedals and 1 amp So I purchased another amp and pedal and have had nothing but an amazing time playing on my Stratocaster with my headphones on for hours The only thing I have encountered so far was the recording section which does not allow me to record without any drum beat When I start my recording it automatically starts playing drums when I dont want it to I would def recommend this to anyone looking to save spending thousands of dollars at guitar center try this app first to find your sound its well worth the money              Great for playing

The volume is not very loud coming out of the iphone5 speaker AmpKit is way louder     Low volume

Can you guys please update the tuner so that we can adjust the frequency to whatever we want We know that A 440 hz is the world standard but we dont want to be forced to stay at 440              Tuning

This is by far the most incomprehensible piece of garbage Ive ever used as far as software goes Nothing is intuitive None of the features work unless you pay money The free features malfunction nonstop Ive had it for one day and recorded three projects all of which have crashed The only piece that actually recorded well wont play Its five minutes long but will only play the first 8 seconds and the last two minutes Piece of junk     Worthless

DO NOT BUY THE HARDWARE OR PAY FOR APP Ive never been so upset with a companys customer service Ive reported them to the Better Business Bureau Here are a list of problems with this app and the hardware that it uses 1 The app eventually fails and starts crashing frequently It will start out as static then volume problems will occur until its a distorted mess of static high frequencies and delay related to latency When this happens after several times of opening the app it will stop working completely and immediately crash upon opening There are no working solutions for this problem Ive updated the app my OS reinstalled it and restarted phone Nothing works The problem is a driver that becomes corrupt due to frequent use of this app There is no fix for this driver 2 Horrible customer service Ive tried contacting the company about this issue but Ive only received one unsatisfactory reply out of many attempts within the last year of inquiring about this problem I paid 100 for this product I expected a little more than a condescending reply to a professionally written inquiry about a problem with their product 3 Many others have had this problem or similar problems with no resolve Just Google Static iRig iRig not working or any other similar search terms and you will find many troubleshooting forums on this product with people who have had similar horrible experiences with their customer service and product 4 SAVE YOUR MONEY Dont waste it on this faulty product     Please read This app is truly awful

This simulator is great for tube amp players who have always wished for a headphonefriendly practice option Leaps and bounds cooler than GarageBand The free version kinda screws itself by sounding too good asis to necessitate buying the upgrade bundle                 Tubelike tone

I purchased the iRig and it sounded bad Blamed it on the hardware Recently bought the iRig HD Hardware is better now the app is complete junk I have the full version app it still wants you to buy everything seperatly and it has ZERO support for Bluetooth out so if you are planning on playing through a wireless Bluetooth speaker or something keep looking This app is garbage and so far everything they make is junk as well     Junk app dont waste your time

For Christmas my kids bought me this companys iRig BlueBoard foot pedal iRig Midi Interface and iRig Microphone together with a suite of relevant software AmpliTube etc Nothing worked And perhaps I should explain that for 40 years I was a professor of mathematics and cognitive science at Northwestern UMass Purdue and Indiana Universities as well as being a software developer and experienced user of computerbased technologies Ive now retired and play a harmonica in several local bands blues country rock bluegrass I mention this only to make it clear that Im not an inexperienced user of these kinds of technologies When I first experienced problems with IK Multimedias gadgets and software I contacted their tech support people and all they did was to tell me to read their manuals I did this And to prove that I read the manuals thoroughly I went though one of the manuals and make linebyline editorial comments pointing out how nearly every sentence was either 1 unhelpful 2 completely unclear 3 incomplete or 4 completely wrong in the sense that what was said simply wasnt accurate Then I once again simplified my questions and contacted IKs tech support people This time I did get a few suggestions about possible solutions to my problems But once again virtually every sentence in this message was either 1 completely unclear 2 incomplete or 3 completely wrong in the sense that what was said simply wasnt accurate Also the tech support person stated that some of the problems that I confronted could only be solved by purchasing more equipment that performed functions that IK Multimedias web site claims that their products are intended to do Next I tried going to IK Multimedias web site to see if there were other ways to get technical support The contact numbers that were given reported that the tech support lines were down And now three days later the lines are still down Ive now seem to have no options except to ask for my money back on these purchases If you want to get a quick verification of what Ive said try downloading the things that are called users manuals for IK Multimedias products The shortcomings will be obvious These users manuals are not really users manuals at all The simply describe what the products claim to do but they give almost no information about how you the user could actually do any of these things Also these users guides contain a bunch of nearly identical photographs which contribute almost nothing to the meaningfulness of the text In more than 40 years of using a lot of computerbased tools Ive never encountered anything this bad in terms of overstated claims completely useless users guides and dismal tech support     This stuff is awful

I liked the app Spend about 60 bucks on effects Bought the slash pack thinking it would all apply to all IK apps Wrong Vocalive that I bought every effect for now I would have to buy it again Well BS Fix this problem Im going to assume it was an oversight Ill be emailing soon     Positive review

Major problems I just wanted an app to practice clean guitar while hearing drums Had to buy a style pack for drums 4 that didnt work initially No response from tech support no way to actually talk to a human being I had to delete the app and redownload it When I finally got it to work I realized that it seems there is no way to adjust the BPM of one of only the 7 or so drumbeats without painstakingly dragging and dropping every one of their preprogrammed drum parts out of the screen which takes a couple minutes every time I want to just play the guitar to a loop All the while Im forced on the free version of the app to play through a processed reverbnightmare of effects they call almost clean To just hear my own guitar without the silly effects I have to buy an amp model This app and the cheap plastic toy that I paid 40 dollars for known as the iRiiiiiiiiiiiiig took up most of my day Im a pro musician and have also been an audio engineer I cannot believe the counterintuitive interface the shameless insipid prompts to purchase additional features while using the app and on top of that IT CRASHES often I cannot believe how low the standard is here with so much potential to be a great tool How did this company let this stuff slide right through the initial prototypes The actual sounds of the drums are not bad albeit when speed is changed they took a big shortcut here with painful results I feel like I just paid 45 bucks for a DollarStore flashlight that wil not work Sorry I am ticked off     Very dissapointed
