Anesthesiology The Journal of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Inc. Description The most widely read and highly cited peer-reviewed journal in the field, Anesthesiology is now available on the iPad. This dynamic app optimizes the best in digital ...
Good app needs to have a way to save and catogorize articles to a library It also needs to have print option           Anesthesiology
I hope you guys are planning on adding the ability for current subscribers to access the journal via the app No way Im paying for separate subscriptions Maybe thats already the plan well see              Nice app great first start
Took calling ASA to get rightleft hand talking but now working              Tricky to setup but works
Especially with the above review if I could rate it 05 stars I would Seriously 65 for an online version for each issue Especially for something I already get in print as an active ASA member     Agree with all the above reviews
Even when it was free to current subscribers it wasnt very good Now that it cost 65 per issue its pretty much worthless Journal like the NEJM do a great job with their iPad app This could be so much more Maybe even worth paying for     Need to look at New England Journal
This app and my experience is similar to the AA iPad app and has similar advantages and limitations In contrast to the AA app the same IDpassword for the journal website works for this add When Im not signed in it does erroneously ask for payment per issue of 60 I occasionally have to reenter the iPad specific IDpw after updates or other mysterious events This app is superior to everything else for reading articles Swipe left to move to the next article swipe down to read successive pages in the specific article Its not so great for saving archive copies eg PDFs that I can highlight and annotate This has resulted in a workflow where I scan articles to get a feel for the general content However if I want a copy on my iPad I open the website in Safari best of 8 browsers Ive tried for this task I then open PDFs of all articles in new tabs in Safari hold down on the link to bring up that option I then open those PDFs in PDF expert 10 and have that linked to my Google Drive Sounds convoluted I guess it is but I now have an easy way to manage my article archive Renaming is easy with Notes in combination with cutandpaste This is visually more appealing for reading the articles but I could get by with Safari PDF Expert if it ever failed to work              Improvement over paper but I use other apps to save archive PDFs
App functioned nicely with excellent readability on the iPad until LWW switched to a paidsubscription format recently Despite being a CURRENT and paid IARS and ASA member neither of these journals is available in the iPad app to me Each journal shows that I must pay to view it LWW provides NO link for support or to reset subscriptions POOR customer service     Lost subscriptions on conversion to paid
As an ASA member I get the print version for free but logging in into the iPad version I am supposed to pay 64 per issue Wolters Kluver Lippincott ensure with this kind of ripoff and poor customer service an increased push for open access These companies have 20 profit margin from the work of the researchersphysicians although most of their work was paid by public institutions from NIH to State Universities Too bad I cannot give it 0 stars     Open Access FTW
This application is not only beautiful is fast easy to use easy access to the articles Is the most wonderful journal related application Congratulations I am still waiting for an application like this for the NEJM This could be better is you can download the articles directly to the Papers application                 Amazing
This app does a great job presenting the contents of the journal However it would be much better if it supported the retina display of the new iPad           Needs retina display support
Great                 iPad anesthesiology
