APDL is the ultimate airline pilot logbook, a complete and compliant reference for FAR 117. Legality, Payroll, Duty, Rest, Productivity, Crew, Flight Log, Schedule Importing, Resumes, and more. APDL`s unprecedented quality and accuracy stems from ...
Steer well clear of this product not because the product itself is bad but because of the exceptionally poor service from the company behind it APDL itself is pretty decent software and has some really nifty features but it is barely compatible with some airlines systems It is buggy and some of the features example resume do not work properly For all it does APDL is not complete enough to be a standalone logbook and for full functionality requires dumping the records into separate logbook software APDL is designed to work with Logbook Pro which itself has seen no significant upgrades in years and is lacking such basic functionality as the ability to search in custom text fields Also trying to print custom formatted pages is nightmarish if not impossible Features such as schedule uploading that used to be included with the one time initial purchase price have been transformed into subscription services at no small annual cost All developmental attention seems to have been turned to APDL I have registered complaints and feature requests on multiple occasions None of my requests have been granted BE WARNED NC Software customer service is practically nonexistent at best and adversarial at worst My impression is that this company takes your money and runs For the most part any issues you may have are simply not their problem NC Software seems to have not the slightest inkling of the concept of customer delight or treating others the way they want to be treated     Absolutely abysmal customer service Der Orgelmeister
I loved this software on my palm pilot back in my regional days I am so happy to find this software back and improved for my iPhone I absolutely love this software It makes keeping track of my flying and my legalities so simple With a few swipes I can see if the scheduling change will make me illegal or not Keep up the great work guys BTW I also use your commander binder and it never fails to impress                     A must have Jurassic Jet Pilot
Great FLICA integration and export capabilities It really doesn t lack any feature you can think of The FAR117 features are a really nice quick reference You can ditch the little red books                     Unequalled Fhfngbjd
Great app                     Test pilot prichardson9876
As a schedule keeper 117 tracker logbook APDL is taking on a lot there is a learning curve but it s definitely the best overall app It has kept me legal when the company s solution would have not Now I can export my flying to my favorite logbook program Don t let scare you away                     Ditch the paper schedule logbook AMNegron
This app is rich with features Keeping track of flight times is a breeze with APDL                     Well designed app Bluepilotnyc
Version 8 2 About Credit screen contains 53 beta team members that provided great input into the latest version of APDL We can t thanks our airline pilot community enough for their great support of this product                     17 years since the first release of APDl 1 0 FatherOfThree
Useless 14 99 for a month went up in the air I will stick with the 4 99 QT thank you     Pointless way too expensive GrkVain
Airline Pilots Daily Logbook started out as a palm pilot application that spread through the industry because of its ease of use and wealth of information it was the perfect replacement for the red book pocket logbook With this iOS version the advancements have continued and the wealth of information is still plentiful and easy to access and use Keeping track of flights flight time FAR 117 in numeric and graph form payroll per diem this app does it all NC Software does an excellent job of updating and adapting the app with a beta team of 121 pilots testing it in true line conditions                     Great App for the line LvlFlight
Most professional FAR 117 Accurate Logbook on the market Easy loading of flight schedules into program and as a 121 Professional Pilot I know exactly where I stand LEGALLY no other logbook complies with the technical aspects of FAR 117 s design many updated features lately with more to come Airline Flight crews Beta team from all over the USA working on a daily basis with developers to make this a quality product Easy copy paste from FLICA etc into an importer program Just fill in the missing data or let it fill in for ya It s not any easier then that                     Only true FAR117 logbook AcetopgunKA
Wow This app really keeps me ahead of the game The reports are perfect to send to scheduling if there is any dispute 117 is a breeze with APDL                     A lot of information SR-72
APDL is a must have for airline pilots It combines the functionality of many different apps right into one                     Best logbook app available Tennisguru1234
Good overall but I primarily bought it because I thought it would sync up to my logbook pro Since it does not why did I spend so much money on this I still have to manually enter the data into my logbook pro You guys say this feature is coming soon Do it no now Also it would be great if it could automatically download your schedule through FLICA                     Good but Another logbook pro user
Can t believe this app isn t a full featured logbook Says it will eventually sync with Logbook Pro For 150 this app needs to be THE single solution to all things airline pilot I guess once the sync feature is implemented it will be The price is too high for what the app currently can do     Can t be used as primary log book Garrett490
I m a huge fan of NC software but this one needs a little work It s extremely glitchy but could be an iOS9 issue Also not all airports are available Would like to see the airport database expanded to all airports and not just major airports I m sure eventually they will get this right Stand by for more     Glitchy CalOneSix
ADPL is a nice app for logging time and staying legal Unfortunately there is no way to export the data or sync with any logbook software ADPL needs to sync or export data to be useful Until this happens the subscription is not worth it     No way to export data to logbook UnhappyADPLuser
Doesn t sync to logbook pro                     No sync to logbook pro Logbook pro user
I have been a loyal APDL user since the Palm OS days My 7 year old Palm Treo finally died so needless to say I am thrilled that NC Software has finally updated this vital application for the new technology and the new rest regulations First it s incredibly easy to use You can import your schedule with just a few taps not like that clunky app produced by a major pilot s union where you have to manually punch in every single leg and that you can t use if you should happen to belong to another union It will sync your schedule to your iCloud or Google calendar which is a feature I use quite a bit I share my work calendar with my wife so we can plan our lives around my days off The amount of information you can get out of this thing is amazing You can check your legality at a glance It will show you where you are with respect to all the 117 limits and will warn you if you re getting close to any of them If you re running behind and are worried that you might bust your FDP limit you can use the What If function to easily determine if you can finish your assigned flying It pulls in Flight Stats and Flight Aware info to tell your gate if you re delayed or if you re going to have a plane swap It pulls in weather and airport delay info too There are a few features that it s missing but these hopefully will be coming soon Despite this APDL is an extremely useful and feature rich application Thank you NC Software                     AMAZING app Joe#842
Still too many bugs will be very useful when it s ready         Too many bugs Asa514
What a cluster Nothing is intuitive I tried it for a trip and had enough     Not intuitive Ilog user
This app is a great concept and if improved will be handy The UI is gray on gray Font is small and either gray or white While somewhat stylish in look data should pop out from the headers not blend in Data is all jumbled and doesn t stand out Also this app dumped my leg times on a trip TWICE after syncing Nobody should have to enter data TWICE for 150 year subscription This app should be much cheaper A server storage fee perhaps but a monthly yearly subscription is just stupid         Expensive and Buggy metalpilot
Great design but not worth subscribing to at the moment Tried to add a RAP to my schedule and the keyboard types one number higher than selected I e Entered 4 displays 5 Same for the calendar I selected 3 8 2015 and it shows the RAP I just entered as 3 9 2015         Too many bugs at the moment AppStoreVictim
Save your money This is far too expensive     Not worth it HaywooDiablo
There is a learning curve but it s acceptable considering it s not just a logbook but also tracks FAR117 legality including RAP periods and stand by shifts It calculates payroll and per diem along with weather overlays A great feature is the ability to import your trips from your airlines schedule system then APDL is capable of self populating all your OOOI times along with night and tail numbers All I do is add IMC approach type and if I was PM or PF Super simple once it s set up Integration with the desktop LogbookPro is under way too I think for a subscription it is a bit pricey otherwise I d hit it with more stars                 Great Start EagleCA
Way too expensive 117 app works great for free I ll continue to pay 29 99 for mobile Once that price goes up it s on to log ten pro X for me     $notmadeofmoney$
I would happily pay 150 a year for a full featured logbook and a system that automatically downloads my roster and calculates legality APDL is really neither of those The hassle of importing each trip and having to log everything gets tedious quickly     Too Expensive For What It Is Cpt Ken
Fairly steep learning curve to learn to use it A lot of information is presented but in a somewhat cluttered manner I have tried repeatedly to no avail to remove aircraft types Once you get used to the myriad formats there is a lot of useful information Many of the features would be very handy after a long day while trying to figure out what extension you re legal for All that said no way am I paying 150 every YEAR to do what can be done on a cocktail napkin Throttle back to a one time 50 and make it sync with my existing LBPro account and you d have my attention         Still some bugs 737swove
Ridiculous price AND no logbook pro integration Are you joking     Utter horse hockey Jfkeoosovkkdskdkkspwpdc
As a longtime user of Logbook Pro both the desktop and mobile versions I was looking forward to this product Unfortunately NC Software has gone too far in asking 150 year for this app No integration or ability to sync with Logbook Pro is inexcusable I ve paid NC Software for Logbook Pro Desktop and I ve paid for numerous subscriptions to Logbook Pro mobile sync and the schedule importer I planned on switching to APDL years ago but the numerous delays in the product required extending my Logbook Pro subscriptions instead Now that APDL is finally available at a completely exorbitant cost no credit is offered to those of us who had to extend Logbook Pro subscriptions due to the developer s delays APDL is virtually useless to those of us who used NC Software s preceding product due to no integration with Logbook Pro I will use a competing product from now on due to this issue and the cost of APDL     Too expensive no integration txcrj
I m not going to spend 150 per year for a subscription for this application I had APDL for my Palm Pilot and it worked great without any yearly subscription plus I could sync all of my flights back to Logbook Pro I m not bagging on subscription services but asking 150 per year for APDL is asking too much I ll stick with the cloud service and schedule import with LBP on my iPad I was really anticipating the new and improved APDL as it was the sole reason that I had initially purchased Logbook Pro years ago         Anticipation lost NoMoreThis$#!+
After trying this app for the past week I am extremely disappointed with it I have been a Logbook Pro user since 2002 I have purchased all of their products but after this I may cut ties and just use my Logbook Pro Desktop to put in entries manually I m tired of being nickeled and dimed to death I ll explain below This is a slick product for 117 tracking and look back I acknowledge that But at what cost both in convenience and money What it IS NOT is an actual Logbook nor does it provide a conduit to export flights inputed into APDL to Logbook Pro Can you believe that What on earth was Neal thinking So now I am charged with putting my flight times into a 117 tracker which my airline does for me anyway due to its complexity AND having to manually enter all my flights in my Logbook Pro Desktop oh but don t worry everyone you can t sync your flight times to your logbook BUT you can get a METAR TAF see when the sun will rise set and the kicker you can build your resume Seriously Who will actually use that This product clearly wasn t vetted by actual airline pilots I have spent literally thousands of dollars with Logbook Pro over the years and it just doesn t seem to be enough They now have to charge 150 yr for one to have the privilege of inputing your own flights into your REAL logbook I was already paying 29 99 for schedule importer and 39 99 for cloud sync They just changed the price structure I should also mention that Neal has venomously refused to support Mac OS so I have also incurred the cost of purchasing other software Parallels and Windows 7 just to keep a logbook I am utterly disgusted at the greed of Logbook Pro and yes I m sure it took thousands of hours to program the new APDL software but for something our airlines track for us anyway Let the airlines pay for It seems like logbook companies LogTen included are going to a subscription based service trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip If you want more money get another job or make other software All 117 has done for airline pilots is cost us money and given us less time at home with our families now I have to decide if logbook entry convenience or its lack there of in this product is more important than feeding my children you can guess how that will go     NO sync to LogbookPro and cost jay_osberg
I have been waiting for this for a long time then I saw the pricing structure and fell out of my chair I can t believe they want 149 a year Even for a one time deal that would be a lot but for a subscription that is outrageous I really hope that they take a look at this and rethink their plan I have gritted my teeth at the sync cost for LBP and can t justify for the import or backup so I will be avoiding this until they come to a reasonable price point     Too expensive None4773
It s obvious that the 5 star reviews are written by employees of logbook pro The asking price is absolutely insane and in no way justified by the performance of this product Stay away     Deserves 0 stars KM779
After waiting years for this product this is what they release Not only is it ridiculously expensive I cant even figure out how to use the App There is no help How do you import This is pathetic at best     I waited for this What a joke
What a cluster Nothing is intuitive I tried it for a trip and had enough     Not intuitive
Good product but Im very disappointed in the high subscription price Maybe as a 10 year captain at a legacy airline I could afford this but not as a new regional airline FO LogTen Pro X is much more affordable with basically the same features Good luck getting people to pay this much     Too expensive
There is a learning curve but its acceptable considering its not just a logbook but also tracks FAR117 legality including RAP periods and standby shifts It calculates payroll and perdiem along with weather overlays A great feature is the ability to import your trips from your airlines schedule system then APDL is capable of self populating all your OOOI times along with night and tail numbers All I do is add IMC approach type and if I was PM or PF Super simple once its set up Integration with the desktop LogbookPro is under way too I think for a subscription it is a bit pricey otherwise Id hit it with more stars              Great Start
Still too many bugs will be very useful when its ready        Too many bugs
Doesnt sync to logbook pro     No sync to logbook pro
I would happily pay 150 a year for a full featured logbook and a system that automatically downloads my roster and calculates legality APDL is really neither of those The hassle of importing each trip and having to log everything gets tedious quickly     Too Expensive For What It Is
my time is precious but not that precious make it 150 for 5 years and I might bite     PRICE FAILURE
ADPL is a nice app for logging time and staying legal Unfortunately there is no way to export the data or sync with any logbook software ADPL needs to sync or export data to be useful Until this happens the subscription is not worth it     No way to export data to logbook
As a longtime user of Logbook Pro both the desktop and mobile versions I was looking forward to this product Unfortunately NC Software has gone too far in asking 150year for this app No integration or ability to sync with Logbook Pro is inexcusable Ive paid NC Software for Logbook Pro Desktop and Ive paid for numerous subscriptions to Logbook Pro mobile sync and the schedule importer I planned on switching to APDL years ago but the numerous delays in the product required extending my Logbook Pro subscriptions instead Now that APDL is finally available at a completely exorbitant cost no credit is offered to those of us who had to extend Logbook Pro subscriptions due to the developers delays APDL is virtually useless to those of us who used NC Softwares preceding product due to no integration with Logbook Pro I will use a competing product from now on due to this issue and the cost of APDL     Too expensiveno integration
This app is a year over due FAR 117 started last January and we waited over a year for this An app that crashes all the time and has a yearly subscription fee that is twice that of any other 117 tracker Do everyone a favor and do not buy this app until Neal gets with reality and fixes his app and lowers his price point to a reasonable level Switch to LogTen Pro X save some money and get an app that will actually work     Once again logbook pro drops the ball
As a schedule keeper117 trackerlogbook APDL is taking on a lotthere is a learning curve but its definitely the best overall 117 app It has kept me legal when the companys solution would have not                 Ditch the paper schedulelogbook
Its too cumbersome and too expensive I miss the old days with APDL     Too expensive
You missed the mark by a long shot Neal This quite possibly might lead to the demise of nc software     Neal fails on many levels
Wow This app really keeps me ahead of the game The reports are perfect to send to scheduling if there is any dispute 117 is a breeze with APDL                 A lot of information
250 too much     10 years too late
If I could rate this zero stars I would I have dealt with this company for years and it is clear the only thing they care about is taking your moneymonth after month after month It was not until after making the purchase and troubleshooting why it would not work that I found out it was not intended to be a twoway sync system They should change their logo that shows a twoway mobile sync among all devices It is false and misleading Spend 30 and have a problem Write in for a solution and get a condescending response and NO refund Why ADPL notes in the App Store says explicitly that sync and backup is available with your data everywhere system This is obviously not true     False and Misleading Claims
This app is a great concept and if improved will be handy The UI is gray on gray Font is small and either gray or white While somewhat stylish in look data should pop out from the headers not blend in Data is all jumbled and doesnt stand out Also this app dumped my leg times on a trip TWICE after syncing Nobody should have to enter data TWICE for 150year subscription This app should be much cheaper A server storage fee perhaps but a monthlyyearly subscription is just stupid        Expensive and Buggy
You would think after having such a successful product previously they would get this right The product is feature rich but cumbersome I think its funny and I am slightly embarrassed for logbookpro They have lost touch with their customers and fans They are potentially leaving a huge void and opportunity for a future developer to swoop in Mostly driven by a monthly fee higher than some of my homes utilities I will be leaving this app on the APP store shelf Sad 10 year former supporter     Total Disappointment
Having been a long time user of Logbook Pro and used APDL back in the Palm days I was looking forward to this app I spent a few days evaluating the app only to be disappointed While it has some neat features it is missing a big one The ability to bidirectionally sync with LBP Furthermore the subscription fee is exorbitant at 150 per year This product is not worth the cost     Too Late and Not Worth the Subscription Costs
Great design but not worth subscribing to at the moment Tried to add a RAP to my schedule and the keyboard types one number higher than selected Ie Entered 4 displays 5 Same for the calendar I selected 382015 and it shows the RAP I just entered as 392015        Too many bugs at the moment
Ridiculous price AND no logbook pro integration Are you joking     Utter horse hockey
Ive been on the beta team for about a year and a half and have seen this app grow I thoroughly enjoy every new build and am proud to be a part of this process The team has done an amazing job The app is stable and has so many cool features that really make my life as an airline pilot easier One of my favorite features is the cloud autofill logging flights is literally effortless and automated Legality has all of the required information including the handy WhatIf feature that allows me to check legality based on my schedule changes Great visuals with charts and the configurable status board is a great one stop location for all of my important data                 Rock Solid
Im not going to spend 150 per year for a subscription for this application I had APDL for my Palm Pilot and it worked great without any yearly subscription plus I could sync all of my flights back to Logbook Pro Im not bagging on subscription services but asking 150 per year for APDL is asking too much Ill stick with the cloud service and schedule import with LBP on my iPad I was really anticipating the new and improved APDL as it was the sole reason that I had initially purchased Logbook Pro years ago        Anticipation lost
Im a longtime user of Logbook Pro an APDL So happy I was able to retire my palm pilot running APDL You should have seen the looks when I pulled out a Palm pilot lol This app is amazing and works great It have made the confusion world of the 117 regs much easier to digest and review I like how you have tied the regs right into the reports and the fact that I can email the report citing the regs right to crew sked and show them why I can do a trip Keep up the great work                 Loving it
As a beta tester I have to say this app has come a long way since initial testing Very satisfied with its ability and recommend it to any pilot in the field                 Great companion for the cockpit
Its obvious that the 5 star reviews are written by employees of logbook pro The asking price is absolutely insane and in no way justified by the performance of this product Stay away     Deserves 0 stars
I was really looking forward to this app as I use logbook pro to log my flight time and I was hoping this would be a better 117 tracker I am using the latest iPhone 6 and this app is really slow and crashes a lot The recent airports feature doesnt work so I have to search for each airport when I enter the flight data I cant figure out how to import my flight and duty time from logbook pro for the past year for 117 tracking So Ive had to manually enter my flight time The perdiem flight credit needs more customization so that that feature is actually usable Instead of the generic trip rig duty rig The schedule importer doesnt work it always says unable to process trip So in short a promising app but a lot of features that are unusable or do not work        Disappointed
Save your money This is far too expensive     Not worth it
After a long wait ADPL arrived and it delivered Until The pricing structure was announced Neal and his team produced a product that should be in every airline pilots iPad Its use especially with the FAR 117 rule implementation makes for a wonderful quick reference while flying The pricing is the problem It used to be we bought a logbook for 30 and write our own flights in there Then we switched and bought a software program like Logbook Pro from his same programmer for 70 But now we are asked to pay 150 for a nice product AND on an annual basis I believe that will price this wonderful product out of the market and so I hope that the pricing will be reviewed and lowered significantly     Great product but priced itself out of the market
After trying this app for the past week I am extremely disappointed with it I have been a Logbook Pro user since 2002 I have purchased all of their products but after this I may cut ties and just use my Logbook Pro Desktop to put in entries manually Im tired of being nickeled and dimed to death Ill explain below This is a slick product for 117 tracking and look back I acknowledge that But at what cost both in convenience and money What it IS NOT is an actual Logbook nor does it provide a conduit to export flights inputed into APDL to Logbook Pro Can you believe that What on earth was Neal thinking So now I am charged with putting my flight times into a 117 tracker which my airline does for me anyway due to its complexity AND having to manually enter all my flights in my Logbook Pro Desktopoh but dont worry everyone you cant sync your flight times to your logbook BUT you can get a METARTAF see when the sun will riseset and the kickeryou can build your resume Seriously Who will actually use that This product clearly wasnt vetted by actual airline pilots I have spent literally thousands of dollars with Logbook Pro over the years and it just doesnt seem to be enough They now have to charge 150yr for one to have the privilege of inputing your own flights into your REAL logbook I was already paying 2999 for schedule importer and 3999 for cloud sync They just changed the price structure I should also mention that Neal has venomously refused to support Mac OS so I have also incurred the cost of purchasing other software Parallels and Windows 7 just to keep a logbook I am utterly disgusted at the greed of Logbook Pro and yes Im sure it took thousands of hours to program the new APDL software but for something our airlines track for us anyway Let the airlines pay for It seems like logbook companies LogTen included are going to a subscription based service trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip If you want more money get another job or make other software All 117 has done for airline pilots is cost us money and given us less time at home with our familiesnow I have to decide if logbook entry convenience or its lack there of in this product is more important than feeding my childrenyou can guess how that will go     NO sync to LogbookPro and cost
Way too expensive 117 app works great for free Ill continue to pay 2999 for mobile Once that price goes up its on to log ten pro X for me
NC Software swung for the fence and you can hang 5 stars on the result I like the app a lot                 Indispensable
150 for a year subscription is absolutely ridiculous of a price point for their product Neal lost many users to Logten Pro when he continuously called Apple products a fad and refused to support any iOS device after the Palm devices went bye bye After Coradine switched to a subscription model with Logten Pro X many users were clamoring for APDLs return and we have it and were again gouged by Logbook Pro and APDL with a subscription that more than doubles the competition No thanks as you continue to be out of touch with your customers Neal Logten Pro offers me seamless syncing between my iPhone iPad and Mac I think Ill stick to that fad Nice try     APDLLogbook Pro Price Gouge Continues
Save your TIME and MONEY The importer is a pain and the price is beyond ridiculous its not even funny     Not worth itnot by a LONG shot
I have been waiting for this for a long time then I saw the pricing structure and fell out of my chair I cant believe they want 149 a year Even for a one time deal that would be a lot but for a subscription that is outrageous I really hope that they take a look at this and rethink their plan I have gritted my teeth at the sync cost for LBP and cant justify for the import or backup so I will be avoiding this until they come to a reasonable price point     Too expensive
I have been a loyal APDL user since the Palm OS days My 7 year old Palm Treo finally died so needless to say I am thrilled that NC Software has finally updated this vital application for the new technology and the new rest regulations First its incredibly easy to use You can import your schedule with just a few taps not like that clunky app produced by a major pilots union where you have to manually punch in every single leg and that you cant use if you should happen to belong to another union It will sync your schedule to your iCloud or Google calendar which is a feature I use quite a bit I share my work calendar with my wife so we can plan our lives around my days off The amount of information you can get out of this thing is amazing You can check your legality at a glance It will show you where you are with respect to all the 117 limits and will warn you if youre getting close to any of them If youre running behind and are worried that you might bust your FDP limit you can use the What If function to easily determine if you can finish your assigned flying It pulls in Flight Stats and Flight Aware info to tell your gate if youre delayed or if youre going to have a plane swap It pulls in weather and airport delay info too There are a few features that its missing but these hopefully will be coming soon Despite this APDL is an extremely useful and featurerich application Thank you NC Software                 AMAZING app
Especially after already dropping a good chunk of change for the desktop software then pay 150 a year is absurd     To expensive
many updated features lately with more to come Airline Flight crews Beta team from all over the USA working on a daily basis with developers to make this a quality product Easy copypaste from FLICA etc into an importer program Just fill in the missing data or let it fill in for ya Its not any easier then that                 Only true FAR117 logbook
Fairly steep learning curve to learn to use it A lot of information is presented but in a somewhat cluttered manner I have tried repeatedly to no avail to remove aircraft types Once you get used to the myriad formats there is a lot of useful information Many of the features would be very handy after a long day while trying to figure out what extension youre legal for All that said no way am I paying 150 every YEAR to do what can be done on a cocktail napkin Throttle back to a one time 50 and make it sync with my existing LBPro account and youd have my attention        Still some bugs
I also have been a longtime user of Logbook Pro and assumed there would be some crosstalk or at least make this a replacement for LBP Neither appears to be true and this is a classic example of extreme greed I begrudginly pay the renewal for the schedule importer for LBP but not gonna pay another 150 for this app Too bad was really looking forward to this one Bad on you Neal     Wow Pathetically Greedy
