Is there any way to make the watercolor brush and the oil brush any bigger than the 100 now on Artrage I love this app and use it most of the time but there are times when a larger sized brush would be handy                 Size of brushes

I dont know how they managed it but this app is even more sluggish a year later I upgraded from an iPad 3 to an iPad Air and Im stunned The app instantly starts to lag while blending and even changing brush properties I have no apps open in the background and on a fully charged device The brushes are beautiful But what good are they if the experience is lackluster Theyre not even trying anymore are they Depressing Just save your money     Even slower than before

Ive just bought an adonit jot touch 4 but found that artrage dosenot support this stylus Hope it will soon              Love it but

I hesitated for months before buying art rage but right after u bought my wacom stylus which according to art rage and wacom websites was supposed to have support for my stylus Well theres no way you can pair your device Also I checked some of the pencils and pens in the app and they are not precise or smooth Its almost painful to draw in the app Plus after a couple of strokes I had a warning that I had no memory available to keep drawing meaning is not optimized for iPad Bad bad bad Very dissapointing app     Bad bad bad I want My money back

Ive been using Artrage on my iPad Mini for a few weeks now I love it It does a very good job of simulating actual paint mediums A better job of this than most of the other apps that I have been comparing it to Artrages simulation of thick oils and watercolors is hard to beat Very convincing The three best apps for painting on an iPad that I have found are Artrage Procreate ArtStudio All 3 are excellent for different reasons But if you are looking to simulate real paint Artrage is possibly the best Buy this app You will love it                 Excellent App

This app is very wonderful except for the fact its not letting me draw at all     App not working

This is a great program but it needs to have recent stylus support I have done my research and at this time the Adonit Jot w pixel point is one of the best iPad styluses for artists Update this app with current stylus sdks and Ill give it 5 stars Until then Procreate is still the best artists app out there           Needs More stylus support

Some strokes take a full second to appear Otherwise the blending and every other aspect of the app is fantastic But until they can fix the lag it is very limited     Simply unusable

I got this app because I heard some said it better than another art program I had and I want to find out myself However it only support the Original Adonit Jot Touch which i dont even know where to even buy anymore In addition to this I read online that the creators dont have a release schedule for an update yet It sound like they dont have a plan on updating and in a sense they abandon this program This is the first app I ever feel like I just wasted hard earn money on     WARNING outdated app Check compatibility first before purchase

I have the newest version of ArtRage which is my GOTO app for all my art on the iPad I updated to iOS 71 yesterdaynow every time it try to use the airbrush tool my iPad Air freezes up and reboots Please fix I cant get anything done Normally a 5 star app with few problemsIll give it 4 stars till the problem is fixed              What Happened Help

Update Or rather the lack thereof Is this product becoming an orphan Nothing since November while competition have all made significant changes to their products Ive taken away two stars until I see some modernization I find this to be the best app of its kind in the store It provides every tool and every possible nuance for reach tool and implements them in a way that is easy to use My only complaint is that it wont turn me into an artist skilled enough to use it to its greatest potential The only thing that I would like to see added is dynamic spattering both at the brush and can levels BTW there is a Mac and an Pod implementation that are equally good although the iPod version is necessarily limited by that platform           Really

I tried all the popular art apps paid for a ton of them This app is by far the best for the painters I am not an artist by far but I have painted and this app gets the true feeling painting If u like painting at all you will love this The paint blends perfectly letting the artist choice all the important details from the load to the amount of thinner Not only are these details important to your experienced artist but to beginners as wel Everyone can have the ute feeling of painting on canvas for a quarter of the cost of really painting This app should be installed on every iPad that is in a public school This could keep painting as an art around for many more years and help discover new artist around the world                 The best art app I tried all popular ones

Crashed my Air twice in fifteen minutes Locked up and even rebooting did nothing A mess No sooner had I picked ArtRage as my preferred program based on trying virtually every other art program in the App Store when the whole program went wacky Suddenly oil brushes were pencils and pencils didnt perform at alland on and on God I am so fed up with these poorly designed apps Delete Delete Delete     Tsunami on Steroids

I was shocked at the lack of quality of this app The brushes are very poorly made they look like something out of Microsoft Paint in the 90s The bushes produce blocky square badly blended marks As an artist I would not recommend it If youre a magician however and you can make beautiful artwork from terrible quality mediums then this app is for you     Low quality

Artrage has SO much lag it is ridiculous If you just write a word the app could be two to three letters behind Its hard to actually see what youre doing The app has many great features but is too annoying to want to do anything on it        Has potential

I have ArtRage on both ipad and desktop Its best feature is to give the feel and look of real paint The newest update greatly improved the sensitivity of the Wacom Intuous Creative Stylus              great app just made better

Great tools with very realistic behavior and neat effects like metallic but extremely buggy Unacceptable lag when opening menus for tools Desperately needs a tool size adjustment accessible on the work screen When clicking undo a mark or move will often only partially reverse for instance only half of a paint stroke will disappear leaving the other half with a flat edge Limited zoom Keep working on this and it will be a stellar art app           Buggy with potential

Great App but lagging and glitchy I want to use this app to do Pro work but the canvas sizes are too low and the interface feels clunky and out dated Theres no support for Adonit Touch the newest version The floating reference image is brilliant I love this feature Paint realism is good but Art Set Pro feels more realistic in action and in look ie end result is better with Art Set Pro Just compare the pastels in both apps and then its obvious but Art Set Pro seems lower resolution Blending isnt as easy as I remember I really dislike the dry brush blending Its not realistic at all and introduces odd artifacts Hope you update soon either way thanks Update Artset Pro is definitely better        I want to love it

for more accesible layout less lagg and more changes in the stroke based on how fast the hands and stylus move Needs color palets        Please update

In terms of producible results Not so much in the feel and paint action but nothing beats it for the final look of your artwork                 Most Realistic Canvas Painting on iOS

It is true that ArtRage is quite demanding in terms of hardware This app allows you to smear paint on a canvas put multiple layers of paint with different colors thickness and dryness on top of each other and it blends it all together exactly like in real life This ability to calculate and process all the interactions between canvas tools and different layers of paint will surely require a lot of calculations and processing power And this is certainly the reason why an older generation will have difficulties keeping up But with a newer gen iPad it works quite smoothly And the result is simply astonishing and amazing Five stars                 Exactly like real pain and canvas

I love it My only complaint though is the selection for tracing Im trying to move the image into a different position and so far I havent been successful and this is really annoying If the image is sideways and Im trying to move it straight its jog going to let me do it and the lag is just awful when I try Other than that its pretty good expect for the occasional lag              Good app

Love using app Recently it is crashing my entire iPad when I use the airbrush Only recently Other than that once you fix this bug its good to go May be related to IOS 71 update              Good app for creative painting

While nothing can replace real paint this is pretty awesome It totally makes the 800 for my iPad worth it to me I love it for generating ideas for my 2d painting                 My favorite App

When I saw this in the App Store two days ago I instantly had to get it I have the Mac version and I LOVE it Its always been one of my favorite apps I love the one for my ipad too Spent all day in it without rebooting my ipad painting a picture Had no lag or any other issues The tips on each of brushes are very cool Would love to have the stencils in the ipad version like the desktop version has The saving resolution is amazing No complaints here Highly recommended for those having issues try reading the help file within the app                 One of my faves

The best simulation of artistic media IMO lots of brushes to choose from that look fantastic on all of the different canvas types very cool One thing though I have an iPad Air and some of the brushes are very slow to appear and lag behind my finger quite a bit Considering I have the newest and fastest iPad I dont think this should be happening so I hope they can improve the performance in a future update I tried restarting my iPad like they suggest but that didnt seem to help at all Still an awesome app though really fun to use and my paintings look great                 Beautiful Simulation

Layers are difficult to understand I spend more time with layers than actual art Im ready for something worthwhile Save your money     Disappointing at best

I dont get why the debs have failed to improve the performance of this app over the years its unusable The UI is looking increasingly dated as well it feels more like the desktop app that preceded it     Slower than molasses on newest iPad

No matter what I do some of the brushes just keep lagging behind at every stroke Some smaller strokes wont even register sometimes I make sure there are no background apps running reboot the iPad constantly to no result Please fix this        Lagging

The app has a nice interface and tool set but when it comes to drawing anything its nearly impossible because the program cant keep up with my brush strokes its so slow it looks like a ghost is drawing something Please make the program more responsive     Lag

About the only niggle I have is that Layer transparency should be a slider with immediate visual change not a percentage typewritten input                 Great Program

Ugh Money back please I paint illustrate a sketch with my iPad all the time I use all the expensive and all the free apps For painting and real media I use Art Set No layers and limited selections of tools But its incredible Recently I had done a painting that would have been nice to have layers I read what this app could do so I bought it I was instantly disappointed Save the 5 and go ProcreateApp or ArtSet     Try Art Set instead

I have really tried and tried to like this app It seems like it would be a great alternative to Painter on a computerbut the interface is much less intuitive than it pretends to be the performance is extremely slow on the latest iPad model iPad Air at the moment and stylus support is hardly adequate Im using the Intuos Creative Stylus II and this app doesnt work well with it The accuracy is resoundingly off and putting down even simple lines is a chore As for the interface I understand that minimalism is in but greatly at the expense of usability here Switching between to colors for instance is immensely difficult Dont expect to do any serious work here Stick to Procreate instead        Slow

ArtRage is a mainstay in my middle school art room on our iPads as well as a great digital sketchbook for my personal work BUT I do wish that in a future update the PAINT SYMMETRY tools that are on the desktop version makes its way to the iPad app That addition would DEFINITELY rate five stars Thanks for a great mobiledesktop painting app              Paint Symmetry

This is a very slow slow slow slow app it use to be really fast though other than that I love it Im patient enough than a lot of other people who have written reviews Once you can be patient and you finish your art its worth it              Slow but worth it

Today I lost a whole piece when the entire app froze up and I had to close up my iPad before it became responsive again The app can be fun and it can be frustrating as well           Lag and freeze

Brand new iPad Air this app has crashed 7 times in mid work causing me to lose valuable time work money Please fix        Crashing losing work

It takes on average 2 seconds from the time you tap a menu for the menu to pop up Why is this I can understand that there might be screen lag when actually painting because the iPad is performing complex calculations and cant keep up in realtime Although thats disconcerting too As you are painting on one side of the screen and your stroke appears on the other But come on Popup menus taking two seconds or more to appear Wheres the complexity in that Thats just inexcusable Also why is it that when you create a separate layer whatever you paint takes on the texture of the layer below it If you create a sky with broad thick brush strokes and then draw clouds on a separate layer with for example crayons Why do the clouds have the texture of a paintbrush when you used a crayon Each layer should be its own separate unit and I dont see why one layers characteristics should affect a totally separate tool This means that even if you use airbrush or watercolor the final texture may have thick bristles for the texture The Developer may say that the lag is beyond his control and is dependent on the speed of the device used OK but if thats the case how come NONE of my other hundreds of apps take so long for the menu to appear I bought this app because Leo LaPorte once mentioned that he met the Developer at a conference somewhere He said the guy was very nice and I thought Id like to help out a small businessperson by buying the app But after using it I cant help but feel that this app even though its been around for many years just isnt ready to be considered a professional tool For 99 cents it might be worth it even then the slowness would drive you crazy but at 5 bucks for this app it feels like a ripoff     The Lagginess Becomes Maddening

Possibly one of the worst performing drawing apps Ive experienced Biggest waste of 5 Ill stick with procreate     Sooooo slow

I own three versions of this product and Im satisfied with them all The PC has more features than iPad and iPhone but the lacking features are rarely missed when you try it out for yourself Paint like never before and create beautiful pictures for a low price You can choose just how real you want the brushes to be and layers are plenty Lacking only a tracing feature that iPhone and PC both have this app is just amazing and easy to change and use for anyoneprofessional or otherwise I highly recommend for both digital painters and reallife painters who want to use a product just like the real thing only spend less money costwise                 Fantastic product

Probably the most realistic painting Ive seen on the App Store but the strokes dont keep with your finger and its annoyingly slow Its a real shame because the mediums look fantastic but I just cant create a decent piece of artwork with this app because I lose my flow when it cant keep up Might work better with the newest iPad I dont know              Looks awesome runs slow

I am not a professional artist but I do paint in oils at times and I think this app is wonderful I love the way it mimics real oils and I am having a great time experimenting Way cheaper than oil painting I highly recommend                 Great App
