10 days in Canada and i was never close to any mobile hotspot that this app detected The app itself may do a good job at finding hotspots to use but those hotspots are few and far between This is more an indictment of ATT and its hotspot network but this app is truly a waste of time and space     Total waste

The more indicative feature of this is that it says you need to connect to wifiin order to find their wifi hotspots You have to find wifi to find their wifi Overall my travel experience with ATT has been the worst My husband has TMobile which I thought was kinda junky but he sure it doing fine ATT drops constantly And this app is beyond useless     The worst just like ATT

This is not an app Its garbage And when I say garbage I mean its as useful as a wilted piece of cabbage in a dumpster after a pigeon has nibbled at it for a few days but walked flew away from it because IT DOES NOT PROVIDE ANYTHING Had it for a week and Im in software     Is Zero stars possible

When youre sold the package they do not explain how it works Could not use it on my two week trip to Europe ATT needs to go back to old system of selling service a la carte     Worthless

Im traveling in Prague and figured this would come in handy Havent been able to connect to any hotspot since I got here A lot of places have free wifi so the benefit of this app as well as spending the extra 30 for the service is really nearly zero     Not worth the effort

So I read all the reviews below and would like to add my opinion as well I paid 30 for passport add on my att plan I understand that it allows up to 120 MB of data and unlimited text But I also purchased it to access wifi hot spots in Italy and Switzerland I downloaded the app and it keeps saying that I need an international package Called customer care and they confirmed that I have the plan but also said that the app had issues and they are working on it and suggested that I could use free wifi when available Duh I know how to use wifi on my phone The rep confirmed that I need the app working though for ATT wifi hot spot access Now this I think is ridiculous as I purchased the plan as it offered wifi locations in Europe On a side note 30 for 120MB is a rip off I enjoyed TMobile unlimited data access but they throttle the bandwidth so it is practically nonexistent Solooks like for those of us who need good connectivity we have no choice but pay up and stick with ATT     A Joke

ATT sells you the bundled international services for a 30day price Then you get a text saying you MUST download and activate this app Why The app tells you about Passport Wifi providers but I am sitting in my lovely hotel with Wifi and ATT doesnt have it on their stupid list I called ATT to ask if my Passport benefits would work from my hotel Wifi and she said yes you do not need to be on the Passport app hot spots to get your benefits So what is the point of the app and why do I have to be on it or even have it When I get my bill if I am charged any more for my international services than the cost of that 30 day Passport plan I will be ready for another service provider     A travesty

I took a Rick Steves 3week tour of Europe in the major cities like Amsterdam Rome and Paris and this was beyond worthless You need internet to find the hotspots internet That makes no sense It didnt even find hotspots most of the time I received 6 texts from ATT telling my to download this app when I already had it and 1 text that the international data plan did not apply where I was Belgrade Serbia I wanted to like this app and the ATT website looked really great describing this plan but I just used the wifi in the hotels where I stayed     Worthless

The app never finds hotspots Have tried it in London and Paris and never once found a hotspot in the app     Useless

Visited France using Passport Unable to find any hotspots even in Paris To add insult to injury you had to get online ie using data from you allotment to check You are better of to buy foreign maps for your Garmin     Hotspots More like cold spots

Failed to find and connect to a single hotspot in 3 weeks in Europe     Completely Useless

We tried to use this app for four weeks in France and England and were able to connect to a hotspot exactly one time When we landed at Charles de Gaulle airport and realized that the app was not going to work we spent four hours trying to get a car with GPS so that we could navigate our way around the country without Internet access Dont waste your money     Dont waste your money

That app is useless It found one Wifi hotspot on a 4week trip to Europe It doesnt even work properly Launch it once and it keeps polling your GPS and you get the app using your gps bar continuously even when you chance settings in location services Each time you launch it you have to force quit it Really crapware     An embarrassing waste of space

Never able to register during two weeks in Europe Deleted when I got home and found I couldnt register at home either     Waste of Space

This app is a waist of time not only are there not many supported wifi connection when there is connecting to them is challengingtime consuming or never works Dont waist your cellular data by running the app You would think that support would put a little work into the app considering all the horrible reviews Need a negative rating system as one star is more then the app deserves     Never works

I never write reviews since I always believe a review is a matter of perspective now for this one I tell you to not waste your money paying the 30 since the FREE hotspots they offer are not found EVER You are better off using the free Wifi that are offer all over Europe by the restaurants hotels etc Not once was I able to get close to one of the hotspots ATT offers Keep in mind that I visited London Paris Rome and Madrid and these are the cities were the biggest tourists go to Dont waste your money at all They also blocked the texting with pictures which it is supposed to be unlimited yeah right that was not true     It is useless

It works fine The app works and doesnt cost anything its the international data connection that costs The app works fine to locate hotspots that are free to ATT users If there arent any then it doesnt find any It finds them for me in China And yes use encryption when you access a wireless hotspot in a foreign country duh           I dont get the problem

Complete trash Went to Mexico and when I tried registering my phone on the app it says failed Tried many times no solution Went to the Atnt store before we went and they did nothing as well     Worthless app would rate 0 stars

Dont even bother trying to use this app while traveling abroad Not only are none of the wifi networks it recommends ever available but it also uses a fair amount of cellular data in order to find them Youre much better searching for hotspots through the wifi settings     Wish I Could Rate It a Zero

I just returned from the Mediterranean and the app NEVER worked Its worthless     Waste of time and money

I recently traveled abroad and so I went to the store before my trip to add an international plan I figured I can access the Internet need be if I dont have wifi and send the occasional txt There was no mention that a separate app was needed to get wifi not to mention you need to already be on Wifi to find Wifi hot spots Are you kidding Not only was I not able to connect but the plan apparently didnt work either as I could not get online without it As an ATT customer since 2007 this is disappointing to say the least     Even 1 star is generous

Depending on where youre traveling not only is the app useless so is the cellular package from ATT First I saw the awful reviews and wanted to use local SIMs instead ATT refused to unlock my phone and told me this package would meet my data needs I purchased the minimum pkg and downloaded this app and flew to Europe The cellular worked fine in Brussels and Amsterdam The app found sporadic options in Brussels and I found very complete WiFi coverage in Amsterdam Paris was horrendous No Wifi options through the app at all and we couldnt even get the cellular to work regularly If you are going to Paris dont bother with this package Next time Im using an old phone and get a local SIM     The Bad Reviews are mostly correct

App doesnt connect phone with an ISP It lets you know there are connections nearby but useless because you dont have a password to connect to those sites     100 Useless Zero Stars

Actually 0 stars Absolutely not worth it Some countries listed only showed one city in the whole country In cities showing good coverage nearly all the hot spots were private you needed a password to use The Passport service was fine just dont talk on the phone with their 1min rates but dont waste your time with this app     Not worth it

Try to get this to work numerous times Uninstalled reinstalled Contacted ATT international support Spent an hour and a half on the phone with them twice Two techs admitted to me that this app just doesnt work yet ATT still feels they can get away with charging you for Silver or Gold Passport service which includes this app which doesnt work I encourage anyone who has purchased this service app to complain to ATT and ask for a refund BTW the app uses the very data that you purchased as part of the package on your cellular account to download install and update its hotspot list Another example of crappy ATT service Had to use a friends TMobile phone to get data via tethering Ugh     Wasted Hours

I was in Portugal and never needed to open this app there are WiFi hotspots that are free in most cafés and hotels        Dont bother for Portugal

I feel like many reviewers here dont understand the concept Passport services This app is for the secondary WiFi hotspots you probably had no desire to use your international 4GLTE service is what youre paying 30120 for and thats completely irrelevant to this app Go abroad use your phone like a normal phone upload selfies to Instagram and watch your data usage periodically You wont get billed unless you go over Thats all there is to it Ive used this service many times in the past and its a lifesaver Maps email TripAdvisor in downtown Tokyo or the German countryside without breaking the bank Roaming on pretty much exactly the same networks as the locals This app It shows you some silly wifi hotspots No need to bother but it does its job just fine           Confused by reviews

Told by ATT rep to get this app with my international package Downloaded before I left Australia was not on the list Tried in Australia again not on the list Tried several times and only got errors or list is without Australia So much for the 30000 wifi spots ATT claims are in Australia     Doesnt work in Australia

I didnt get very far with this app You have to send a text to ATT and set it all up ahead of time None of that worked and I just used the bad wifi at my Toronto hotel IMO just another poor service option from ATT     Setup hassle overpaid for minimal service

The stated purpose of this app is to locate wifi hotspots when traveling However when one tries to use the apps map to locate wifi hotspots you are told you must be hooked up to wifi for the map to work properly I continue to be astounded that a company the size of Att cannot get working software written It took them years to get yahoo mail to work properly Dont bother to load this app     This app is worthless

I have been using the app for an entire week throughout Japan with no issues People complaining about the app not working without Internet are clueless it auto login to supported spots and you can also find spots using the map the map itself doesnt display without data which is just logical what did they expect That a map of the entire world be stored as part of the app                 Works fine

I just came back from a week in Europe where I tried to use this app in the Netherlands Belgium Germany and France 13 cities many popular tourist destinations and not once was this either accurate or remotely even close to getting me to a friendly hotspot If I could give it zero stars I would so I guess one star for the app actually opening     Absolutely worthless

The app did not connect to any hotspots when on the road and only really worked with hotspots which were already free Complete waste of money     Useless when traveling

Spent 3 weeks in Germany and Italy and did not use this app once It is worthless You are looking for wifi so you dont eat into your data plan but you have to use your data plan to find the hotspots When you finally do find them they are never close enough to use Youll most likely use free wifi from hotels and other hotspots You certainly dont need this app Waste of time    

Not easy to operate this app but it works well when used correctly I came back from a trip in Japan where the app worked for me in multiple cities You should check the supported countries first only 18 countries are currently included in the 300mb package You should install the app and a profile in advance Then when traveling open the app check out the supported wifi networks listed in it and through the settings app connect to one of them No credentials are required ATT can surely make a simpler to operate app therefore only 4 stars              Worked well for me

I used the ATTPassport app on a trip to Italy in 2015 The home we had rented had wifi so the app would only be used if I needed a quick Internet connection away from home I tried it a few times around Rome Naples various towns along the Amalfi coast Sorrento and Pompeii Not once did it identify a qualified useable hotspot I judge the product to be worthless and had I been in a situation where I had to rely on a connection this product would have left me cold Since this app is a free download for those who have added an international plan it cost nothing But I will contact ATT and ask for a partial refund since part of the plan includes a small a amount of wifi usage which therefore requires the useless Passport app     Worthless

The most useless app ever You need access to the Internet in order for the app to find the ATT hotspots So youre either connected to wifi via wifi in which case you do not need the app or you are using data roaming which is expensive to try to find wifi On the very few occasions the app did find an ATT hotspot such as Rio International Airport GIG I was NEVER not once able to have my iPhone connected to wifi via the app In my experience the app was useless in China Beijing Hangzhou Shuzhou or Shanghai Brazil Rio Vitoria Salvador Morro de São Paulo or Chapada Diamentina Israel Tel Aviv or Jerusalem or Jordan Amman Try MandicMagic instead IMHO this ATT app is useless Dont waste your data or hard drive space downloading it or your battery power trying to use it     A waste of space

I concur with the others on the usefulness of this app Even if you stumble upon one of the alleged hot spots as I did it never connected In general ATT support and products are overrated and overpriced Even free this app is not worth the space on your phone     Completely Useless
