I was looking for a batch audio converter that can turn stereo files into mono I bought this app becaause it had good reviews and the description says audio channels as one of the features so I thought Great However in the settings for a super basic format like WAV there s an audio channel dropdown but only ONE option STEREO So you couldn t pick mono if you wanted to what s the point of even having this option when there s NO options just one Option means choices Also I say clunky because when you open it it gives you the impression you can just drag some files onto the GUI however when you do it pops up a choose file finder dialog that seems like it s asking for you to choose the file over again however learing the hard way that dialog is actually asking where you want to SAVE it But you d never know because it doesn t give you any context at all which could be VERY bad because you could end up accidentally overwriting your original files Bummer app         Clunky No channel conversion like in the description Joeflyer59

I batch converted 17 seven minute long aif files to mp3 using Audio Coverter The program took almost 10 minutes I then loaded the original files into itunes set the conversion settings to match what I d just done in Audio Coverter and converted everything again iTunes took less than sixty seconds This program does what it says but it s really really slow             Does the job but SLOOOOWW Jasony3131

Some of my favorite apps are ones that do one thing specifically very very well This is one of those apps I have a podcast and need to convert audio files all of the time and this is an amazing tool I downloaded it this morning and it easily saved me an hour which is important because this is not my day job I am looking forward to adding this to my workflow and somehow configuring an automation with it                     I love apps like this Stoopac_SCPS

I downloaded this app and the first thing it did was freeze up when I tried to load a wav file for conversion Does not let you change sample rates and it does not let you edit ID3 tags which is the whole reason I wanted a program like this You get what you pay for which in this case isn t much     Doesn t work xEvilJonx

Claims to do batch processing but can only handle one level of folders meaning a single folder full of audio files So if you have for example a folder with several sub folders with audio files in them different albums then it is useless Also does not support VBR MP3 encoding         Disappointing inparticularity

Just when you thought you couldn t get something for nothing this little app comes along and shows you that you can at least get something pretty good for next to nothing I have a copy of Roxio Toast Titanium Wouldn t you think that for the large amount of money it costs it would be able to convert a WAV file into an MP3 If so you d be mistaken I needed something to occasionally perform batch conversions of audio files Aucio Convertor does it rapidly and without fanfare It s interface is quite simple The codecs and formats include all that I ever use Perhaps the only thing I ve found that distinguishes it from the expensive apps is the absence of Variable Bit Rate encoding for MP3s but that s nothing I can t live without and certainly no reason to deduct a star from an unpretentious app that s as inexpensive as this one Had it been costly I might not have felt compelled to review it Because of the almost unbelievably low price though I want to give credit where credit s due                     A true bargain milleron

Used this App to convert all of the church s WMA music files to MP3 because we converted our computer sound system to MAC from Windows I created a WMA folder and dragged all of the WMA songs into one folder 918 songs thank God the rest were all ready MP3 and then proceded to use the audio converter app After initial set up of type and destination of converted songs it was a piece of cake until I got greedy and tried to drag and drop and dump all 900 files to be converted at once It s good but not that good It took a lot of errors from songs that couldnt be converted I ended up doing about 10 songs at a time You do the math It got the job done though but it was most definitely time consuming For the songs that couldnt be converted about 50 of them guess I ll have to try someting else or redownload them Great APP though Very easy to use and very helpful                 It Did The Job MinJT

I second the praise reviews of others but I want to say one thing more I have movies of my shows which i break down into individual songs It s a piece of cake to just drag the mp4 file into Audio Converter and create an mp3 in the folder I want I can set the bit rate to 320 kbps too There is nothing simpler and quicker Real nice tool to have                     So convenient and quick JohnOSings

Serieously it is so convient and easy to use When I am working and find a file in the wrong format I just drop it on the window and it converts it instantly to my desired format So say I need wave files I set it to convert to wave specify the output folder and thats it Truely the greatest thing since sliced bread This will remain a part of my audio tool box I forgot I had wrote this review I was using it and found it so useful that I came back to write review and found that I already had done so This time I was using it to batch covert a number of Audio files from a playlist into MP3 s without mucking up my original playlist It left my source playlist untouched and quickely put my converted files into a folder that I specified                     A MUST HAVE AUDIO TOOL Nomad76
