Auria - the 48-track digital audio recording system for iPad. "This is the first mobile mixing (AND recording AND post production) app that I`ve ever used that is truly professional. Just Wow " - David Kahne ...
Only gave 4 stars because after the recent update I got locked out of Pro even though I already own it Now I can t open any of my projects                 Great app Awesomefist
Fixed I guess I panicked before actually taking a breath and realizing all I had to do was restore my purchases from the Auria store within the Auria app simply fix for my issue Also customer service had emailed me STAT to resolve my issue but I had already figured it out Appreciate the rapid response I purchased Auria le a while ago when I thought that I was purchasing the PRO version for it I upgraded my le version to the PRO version through the app for 24 99 and all was fine except for it saying something like I will have all the PRO features but due to me upgrading through the app my app will read Auria and not Auria Pro No prob because it gave me all the features of the PRO version I even have projects that will no longer load because it s now telling me this project was made with Auria Pro and will not load in Auria we ll tell me how the hell did I create the project in Auria Pro if it s now saying I do not have Auria Pro I ve been bragging about your product when asked how do I accomplish such high quality on a freaking iPad only to get done like this this is absurd I need this fix STAT                     Missing my PRO version Fixed Issue DaSignature
Probably overkill but I m using Auria for podcast editing typically with only 4 separate voice channels It s great                     Excellent annesarbor
4 stars instead of 5 because even on my iPad Pro it still crashes occasionally It crashed much more often on my older iPad Air 1 especially when I added multiple track effects Clearly Auria needs a lot of available memory to run effectively The major problem with the program is the much anticipated MIDI functionality which still is just too buggy to be useful I ve had nearly complete song files completely lost due to glitches with MiDI tracks In other cases the contents of MIDI tracks just inexplicably disappeared requiring me to re record entire tracks Until those issues are fixed I simply don t trust the MIDI functionality of Auria and avoid using it altogether The above criticisms aside as a digital audio recorder Auria is second to none for iOS It s not as user friendly as say Harmonic Dog s DAW or the much cheaper Garage Band but it s absolutely worth the extra learning curve and money to get access to some very professional sounding effects This is my go to DAW for sure I just wish the MIDI functionality was more trust worthy                 Best iOS DAW hands down but TravelinBri
I have Auria pro on my iPad mini 2nd generation and Dropbox works fine on my iPad Pro it will not access it it just keeps going to the actual Dropbox site please fix would love to use this app on my new Pro         Dropbox on iPad Pro 10 5 will not work Booby-Doop
I give Auria 5 stars because I ve used it for 4 or maybe 5 years now and it s my escape it s like a video game where you get to manipulate sounds and place them where you want on the canvas however since the 11 0 2 update I can t keep it running at all my drum trax keep going out of sync I m running at a hi Quality but even if I go down in buffer use the standard core and take it off 64 bit it just starts crackling then I close it out when I re open it says a crash occurred I admit I m running a lot of fab filter A LOT but I freeze as I go and my cpu usually hangs around 16 I m pretty efficient at keeping an optimal cpu and tinkering around until all is running good We shouldn t cry to you guys every time there s a little glitch and find a way to make it run but this is atomic level stuff happening charged my iPad before the hurricane hit so I could just chill enjoy a rare day off work and bam No mixing for me this is my crack cocaine people please fix it                     Help Skeen seven 3
I bought the Pro version when it first came out for something like 50 Even after i re installed Auria and go to restore purchases i still have Auria standard Even if i try the buy Auria Pro option it does NOT i repeat does NOT tell me i already purchase it Very Very Very Very dissapointed Will not update review till resolved     Paid for Pro but have to pay for pro again lordraider15893584
I use this as a daw alongside BeatMaker 2 and 3 Model 15 im1 and a few others Im thinking about purchasing the pro version but there isn t a ton of information that I m aware of that describes the differences between Auria Mobile and Auria Pro One thing I will say is there isn t a lot of viable options for guitar and bass amps effects A few more tweaks and this app will literally be better than carrying Logic Pro around                 Best daw I ve seen on ipad Obscure Rebel
I am running the program on an iPad Air 1 with a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 I would have written this on the pro reviews but it appears that purchasing the pro version through the Auria store does not register that it has been purchased on the App Store I have waited so many months for this to come out so that it could be used with my Akai MPK 249 and how happy I was to see that it finally had Once I plugged it in I found that even simple actions on Auria would somehow I guess overload the audio interface and I would have to continuously turn the interface off and on while setting up a track for record so that the audio would even get through When I finally did switch it off and on enough to have the audio coming through to the right tracks the audio itself has popping noises that are in no way related to clipping of any sort Once my basic test of running two simultaneous track records EVENTUALLY recorded without causing an error or crashing simply clicking to return to the beginning of the tracks and shutting off track record would cause yet another error to occur Forcing me to once again shut the interface off and then back on simply to hear the recording through my interface I would either like a refund or something to be done about this because my hardware is all within a year and a half off and has literally no issues with any other program I am severely disappointed And here running it a year later I discover that my upgrade to pro never even fully registered even though I was charged when purchasing through the app itself Sadness     More than disappointed Bodilly Bop
All I can think about is how fortunate we are today in the good ol USA not in a bad way but if you stop for 1 min and think about what they had to work with back when Elvis the Big Bopper Hank Williams Johnny Cash Buddy Holly were just beginning there recording careers this app alone would have changed the world completely The quality of what your getting in this 20 25 app would have had recording artists and engineers up all hours of the nite the sound qualities and features in this app alone would have put us ahead 50 years You could can make your own album CD whatever as professional as anyone in the business today with this one app Wow                     Real Professional stuff Jeff0566
Original version of this app then upgraded to Auria Pro I spent hours recording several songs in this app I updated the app and now none of my songs will load It downgraded me to the original version of Auria after the update I can t even load the demo song Completely useless app Stick with GarageBand     Horrible App Jerrymarten23834
I bought this app for 49 when it first came out and haved 48 tracks for recording audio Now they just give me 24 track available I dont no why and without notification or explanation Why they do this I dont Know Very desapoint No more this app on my Ipad 24 tracks dont work for me You guys steal my money     48 tracks now 24 Why D.Donatelo
As of this writing this is the most sophisticated iOS solution available as regards a DAW on your iPad Developer is also first rate Recommend it and him without reservation                     Exceptional fhdkhdsjkf
It works good great for multi tracking and mixing on the go                     What can I say about Auria Snellaudio
I ve been recording professionally since the early 70 s in a variety of high end studios in Los Angeles and later Seattle I ve also done a ton of computer based recording in my home studio This is to say I have experience and I have certain expectations of the gear I use Auria has been great for me very versatile completely portable and with an array of professional plugins it turns the iPad into an amazingly powerful recording and mixing environment Now with upgrade to Auria Pro we have an integrated midi recorder with virtual y unlimited instruments I m very grateful to have this software created to such high standards If you re serious about making music on an iPad you NEED this software                     Upgrade to Pro Better than ever Can t live without it Mythmongrel
I produced music on desktop DAWs for about 20 years All I can say is that user interface on a tablet is so much better than a mouse audio editing fades fader control EQ are all just a joy to use here Audiocopy Audioshare means importing from other apps or your own stored sounds is super easy IAA also allows you to use other apps as plu ins Included plug ins are good but pick up the FabFilter stuff as well and there will be little you can t do here All you can ask for in a DAW on the iPad Quite simply until Auria came around I didn t feel like I could do a finished professional quality track on the iPad now I do And functionality is great but you will want to have all other apps closed and for sure plenty of memory Update one star taken off for general bugginess When it works it s brilliant but even running the latest update on an iPad Pro I have had several occasions where mid project audio files disappear or play back as noise or not at all The occasional bug I would ignore but there have been several times this year where I spent entire days trying to fix corrupted projects Be sure to back up everything on a regular basis I prefer Auria s interface to my desktop DAW but unfortunately it s not anywhere near as stable yet I suspect some of the problem here may lie with Apple and it s constant tweaking of iOS                 Awesome TheDudeAbided
The things Auria can do are amazing On my iPad Who da thought Cubasis is great as well and yes there are some IAP costs Have you ever looked at what the desktop versions of these plugins cost This is the deal of the century                     Supreme DAW Hydra vein
I m having a problem using the xr 18 and the iPad Air 2 When I start a new project I don t get any signal I ve found that when I swip the app to close it completely and restart the app it works fine This is a glitch in the app that occurred after an update to the app Hopefully the makers will correct this problem in the next update             Glitch in App vincebel
I have been a Cubase producer for years so obviously I bought Cubasis first to work on it did just fine for me for about a year then I was introduced to Auria Pro and the fab filter Pro plugins wow blown away then the multiple midi devices support can t believe I m using my control surface with my iPad in Auria Wow This by far is a standalone app no need for a desktop from start to finish Yea the total price is steep once you download all of the Fab filter Pro plugins but it is totally worth it if you want a great Project Fully support Import projects from Pro Tools Cubase and many other DAW Through Aif and project files export also                     Hands down the best DAW for iOS BigMajorLabel
UPDATE I upgraded to Auria Pro when it was released through the Auria upgrade After a few months with almost a year using the Auria recording environment everything in my original review stands and the app has only gotten better MIDI the awesome sampler synth the ability to use Sound Fonts the layout workflow it s all perfect and works great To me WavaMachine Labs pretty much beat AVID to the punch because for all intents purposes this app is like ProTools for the iPad Original Review Perhaps my perspective is a bit different considering I began recording over 20 years ago in 1993 with a Tascam 424 cassette four track Either way to me the ability to record and mix full productions with incredible clarity with the versatility and tools of a full DAW on a tablet is incredible Complaints about no MIDI and various nitpicking completely miss the point This is a pro level tool that excels in creating complete multitrack recordings and mixes it is not a press this button for killer drums automatic DJ music machine It is garbage in garbage out talent in talent out I m an analog devotee and remember fondly learning on PortaStudio s and graduating to analog multitrack machines mixers to ADATs and the first DAW systems I do not take for granted the wonderful tool that Auria is and the incredible times we live in I like to look at what we have to work with not what we don t have                     An incredible tool for professional quality music production unreal JRSIV1975
I upgraded to pro and now it really becomes the best DAW in my iOS arsenal Such an incredible powerhouse for a relatively affordable price Except for the high prices of the plugins way too high Auria Pro upgrade really shines on my new iPad Pro If you are serious about music recording on the iPad then this is a highly recommended app for you Thumbs up to a great developer too This is pure iOS awesomeness but it would make it even better if AU plugins would also be supported YES PLEASE             Pro upgrade nice but AU support please TheRealDutchee
For starters I actually own Auria pro but since I bought it within the app iTunes does not recognize that I own it so therefore would not let me write a review about it That said I have used Auria for about two or three years now and for the most part I have liked it Now however I am working on something more serious and am finding all sorts of glitches to the point that I have spent the whole day working on a tune that is mostly gone now Tracks have been replaced with glitchy lines that hold no data I am using an iPad Pro so it is not an issue with the hardware I am really devastated having put so much money into this app and now time to boot I found the audio files inside the filesystem of the app and started the laborious process of finding the right file to put inside the tracks However in doing so I come across another glitch and that is suddenly straight lines instead of waveforms in other words no audio on random tracks If I am doing something wrong and am to blame I would love to be alerted to this What kind of magic could I use to make this app work for me     Frustrated after a day s work lost MushroomDoll
With all the in app plugin purchases this one costs over 270 no thank you Compare that to Cubasis just 50 and sometimes on sale for 25 and you get a professional grade DAW with the best slick UI and everything included no nickel and dining with in app purchases Sure they have just 2 IAPs for just 13 combined and they are worth it Even GarageBand offers a better UI than auria     Too expensive PowerObject!
After the pro version came out there were some sudden crashes and other stuff not working correctly But now everything works perfect Don t even compare Cubasis or any of the other recording apps to this one This is a true recording music production platform The price for the app is more than made up by its quality and the free piano plug in rivals Korg s piano app After I record five tracks in Cubasis the audio becomes very muddy and the interface response very slow I m unable to make a quality mix in Cubasis because the sound degradation is horrible Auria is in a league of its own                     Finally running smooth Blackbery-12
I love this app I ve used it for about 2 3 years and even upgraded it to Pro Easy to use top notch plugins and excellent support from the developer He will even personally address your concerns on Auria s forum                     Awesome product awesome support gwishin
The developer has decided that if you buy Auria and then a week later you wish to buy the full pro version that you should pay an extra 15 for the privilledge of an app not branded pro and with which the in app purchase adds exactly zero extra value for that 15 This greedy irrational pricing scheme has soured me on what should otherwise have been an enjoyable purchase I wish I could return it             Would be 5 stars but thirdearproductions
This is a very solid DAW on IOS I d wager the best at the moment full featured and very stable I wrote a bad review of the previous release based on the fact that I didn t like the devs upgrade strategy where the best goodies developed for the next update version were instead only included in a new pro version after many of us had already paid a premium for the first version That being said there s no arguing this is a very good DAW Had the dev given us early adopters more of a break on the upgrade price it d be a solid 5 star app                 Great iOS DAW skiphunt
Everything I was looking for Thank you Would like a manual punch in                     THE BEST LoudSam
This app has changed my life I have been an engineer for many years using Pro Tools for most of the last 10 years and this app is simply the best recording app for the iPad in my opinion I can use stand alone or in conjunction with Pro Tools seamlessly I highly recommend this app for anyone serious about recording on the iPad                     Like Pro Tools for the iPad jg707
I enjoy using this app for my recording needs This represents digital audio done right Great work Rim Please keep up support for this product and your customers                 A traditional digital audio workstation qwesterish
Have been using this app for quite a while and am constantly amazed what you can do with this app and an ipad I am also amazed at the patience the developer has Hope RIM can continue his hard work and level of patience Thanks                     A great ipad app ldavis3663
This application is about as close as you can get to Logic Pro on an iPad The develop is constantly active on their forum and always interested is ways to better his product This and the Pro version are true professional quality production tools                     Excellent NLMG
This is a fantastic app that has a lot of new features vs version 1 The sample player Lyra alone is a game changer It allows importing of exs and sfz This allows you to bring in MUCH better sounding instruments than currently available in the App Store The included synths from Fabfilter are very good and they themselves are better sounding than 75 of the App Store synths The app is responsive and visually appealing which is important The developer who goes by rim is very responsive and open to suggestions I logged into the web site for Auria and had my questions answered within the hour I don t do midi much but all of my apps that transmit midi fugue Firo xynthesizer midisequencer ect have all been usable in Auria with there output captured in Auria s piano roll With 24 96 available for my line inputs This is digital recording done right Why not 5 stars This a bug fix release to an initial release There are some bugs left and things that could be improved which will be brought up on the web site for Auria The bugs have not effected my usage in a manner that causes me to look elsewhere for my recording needs As a satisfied customer I am looking for value for my money I feel Auria represents app value I hope to see it continue to implement reasonable user requests and grow with the changing environment called iOS WMWM                 Essential and well done qwesterish
I have been trying recording apps since the App Store first came out There simply is no other app out there that can do all Auria does It is a true PROFESSIONAL recording and post production app It s frustrating to me that users are downgrading the star rating just because Auria came out with a new app and did not give it to them for free Auria has to make money like every other company or it cannot stay in business How do you think updates are paid for Just for kicks I tried MultiTrack DAW recently Despite its near 5 star rating it did not play in the same league In the age of 4 99 apps 50 seems high but honestly it would be a bargain at 500 Auria is that good                     The BEST iOS Daw Hands Down utopia1
I purchased this last year and now with the updates it has several bugs that make it unusable When I create a new project it implies I can use templates but when I select one of these templates it says I need to use Auria Pro Then after that I am unable to create a new project unless I reboot my iPad I would consider upgrading but this bug makes me nervous to purchase Auria Pro     Buggy Tries to Force you into Auria Pro CornellStanley
The lack of MIDI is really holding this back Waiting for the Pro version which will probably be a 5 star rating but as it is this is not for any serious production contrary to what people say For what it offers in its current state you can get much better        I wish I could rate it higher
While this app may be a great DAW for iPad Im still determining as far as the underthehood capabilities go the interface elements are HORRIBLE For one nothing has been updated to Retina graphics Seriously Some of the popups menus and other UI look like they were ported from Linux Other parts like the radio buttons look like they were copied from a 6 year old version of Mac OS X The whole things screams This app was not specifically made for iPad For something that is probably in the top 1 tier of iOS app pricing this is inexcusable The developers should hire a graphicUI designer to update the look and the workflow menus popups etc to make it a true iPad app and not just a port from their other platforms           Interface Needs Major Work
Hello everybody whats going on First and foremost I would like to say that this piece of software is incredible For the price of the software its hard to beat however there are some issues to be addressed with this software For starters the edit window seems to be a bit sluggish when zooming in and zooming out in addition the track buttons on the edit window seem to be flat and lack the actual GUI style of the Mix window In addition to this the automation system seems a bit sluggish as well while you can move the fader with fluidity however after writing an automation pass the motion of the fader and the resolution of the Fader movement seems a bit jittery and sluggish While this app is amazing that what it does the edit window suffers from sluggishness the fader movements of automation passes suffer from sluggishness however the mixer Mix window works really well and functions just like a mixer from any other daw with the exception of limited Plugin processing of course its running on an iPad after all When I say limited plugging processing I dont mean limited in such a way that you cant function What I mean is limited in the amount of plugins that you can install on any one given channel Ive noticed that there is no retina display support It seems that this application was written for the iPad 2 thus taking advantage of the resources available from the iPad 2 While the app runs on the iPad 3 significantly better than the iPad 2 it could only get better when the developers decide to update their app to support all the processing power and resources of the newer ipads There also seems to be an issue with using 24Bit 48K sessions with and without audiobus The sessions seems to disappear with out the ability to reload them however the sessions are still existing just no longer accessible from Auria With all this being said Im delighted and Im happy about my purchase I look forward to all the updates forthcoming Finally someone that takes the iOS platform and the iPad serious No longer can it be said that the iOS platform and the iPad is available as simply a consumption device Now it is proven the iOS platform and the iPad is a productivity device We are able to run spreadsheetsfile our taxes do some banking browse the web shoot a video at 1080p edit a video render a video upload a video play a video game produce a record mix a record master a record deliver a record and finally get paid from all the PRODUCTIVITY last note If the makers of this app would consider taking a look at the app LEVEL24 notice the fluidity and colors of the meters they are very easy to see and very fluid where as the metering on this app is a bit dull              Triniti PLEASE READ THIS DEVS
This app does NOT play nice with audiobus Ive used a variety of different apps to record track using Thor or gadget for example with no problem and it sounds great Auria is laggy and slows everything down Crashes Im using a iPad mini retina with the A7 chip if a 64 bit chip cant handle this what canYou got my 50 but you dont get my 5stars this feels like a bad port from PC to iOS Whatever the case the app is not ready for prime time Amazing they have the nerve to charge 50 for this haft broken app and pat themselves on the back for it I bought this app a couple of years ago and it didnt work then amazing it still doesnt work now ridiculous     Bloated rubbish
I hesitated to buy this because I heard it was sluggish and a memory hog but Im glad I took the chance Its worth the money Im using an ipad 4th generation and it works flawlessly No dropouts no lagging nothing like that Audiobus integrates nicely as well as Dropbox and audio copypaste Its very easy and intuitive to import different tracks from other sources I only record one track at a time and dont have more than five tracks in a song but even at that its worth the money to have something that actually works easily Plug ins work as advertised Buy it                 Very good surprising too
The Auria app for IPad is my primary workhorse for tracking and mixing home studio recordings and live shows The native features are well integrated and the available plugins for purchase are excellent additions I cannot believe how the team has squeezed such professional multitrack performance into such a simple to use ipad platform Bravo and keep the plugins coming                 Outstanding Capabilities and Usability
When you read the reviews for this app youll find basically two kinds People who REALLY love it or people who think its lame or disappointing But I think youll agree they cant BOTH be right correct While I believe that the negative reviews come from people who mean what they say the real question becomes How much experience do they have in recording and how well do they understand the app So it comes down to the credibility of each reviewer In reading a ton of these alloberthemap reviews I have come to the conclusion at the very least that the people who love the app are generally much more articulate in stating their reasons whereas the people who hate the app tend to be a lot less able to be clear or specific about what they dislike With a few notable exceptions Ill admit But for me when Im faced with a oneparagraph angry review versus a tenparagraph defense of the app Im inclined to give more weight to those who can make their case clearly and without excess emotion Id say dispassionately but that word always sounds like the opposite of what it means Seems to me a lot of people are angry at the cost of the app and its plugins They are creatures of a world in which the average App Store price is between 99 cents and 499 at the high end So when an app comes along charging 50 bucks or a total of 225 when you include all the inapp purchases the typical app buyer feels as if he has just purchased the Taj Mahal Man I just spend a whopping 225 on an app For that price I expect the Developer to come to my house and give me personal lessons for the next 12 years Plus hed better come to all my gigs and be in the front row clapping constantly Or selling our tshirts at the merch table To which I feel compelled to say Pull your freakin head out dude You know what 225 will get you in this day and age Well if you have three other roommates it might buy you a months rent in a laundry room closet Or maybe theyd let you pitch a tent in the backyard for that amount If you use desktop software on your laptop or a beefier computer then you might be able to buy a SINGLE plugin for your favorite app Or you could buy an entire recording studio on your iPad for the same amount Because and dont fool yourself this app LITERALLY gives you a Business In A Box For that measley amount you can advertise yourself legitimately as being the owner of a professional recording studio Do you not remember the days when having these capabilities would cost MANY thousands of dollars And it still costs that much if you go the hardware route Yet now you can own a studio that you can slip comfortably under your arm or slip into your backpack Which makes it all the more comical and slightly depressing that people are whining about sequencer and MIDI absence when they have all these riches at their fingertips even in the most basic version for what they lay for a tank of gas So my advice is that you pay attention to the genuine pros who write reviews here and they arent shy to admit that theyd love to see new features to or that the app does better on faster hardware because they seem to better understand that it wasnt so long ago that there was no way in hell you could do everything this app does for so cheaply and also be able to make it totally portable I wont say the negative reviewers are whiners per see but its just that they seem more than a bit unfair and not very experienced in recording I doubt a single one of them has recorded even something thats sold a few thousand copies in the Real World let alone millions of copies as one reviewer here has So if for instance a reviewer gives the app a onestar review because a bug in the latest release caused him to lose his DubstepmeetsLounge version of Chopsticks then take it for what it is And once MIDI and a sequencing option make their way into the app it makes you wonder what great lengths people will have to go to to complain Sure its a great app but I hate that they changed the avatar One star See for yourself if you think the negative reviewers are people youd like to have lunch with Because personally Id rather hang with the ones who sound like they really understand that this app has totally opened up new worlds for them                 Ask Yourself Why Do So Many Pros Adore This App
Auria is hands down the best audio DAW on iOS with an amazingly detailed and beautiful GUI that works exceedingly well on all iPad displays Being designed specifically for the iPad means the attention to detail both in the audio engine and UI has not been skimped on in any way It currently lacks MIDI tracks but thats coming in an update but as an audio DAW it is superb The plugins are second to none being iPad ports of desktop equivalents and then among the best for the desktop too However the price as IAPs puts them very readily in the hands of iPad musicians at a far lower cost than the desktop With a suitable audio interface Auria can record up to 48 tracks at 2496 as well Along with Cubasis Auria is in my essential toolkit for iPad music production Highly recommended                 Wonderful app with a great interface
Very disappointing Loop sometimes wont loop No sound in iMPC pro when connect Mastering app very slow No synths Low amount of plugins No MIDI For this range of money a expected more then that Few synth and midi editor is a most Use the mixer to control logic on Mac A drum machine MIDI keyboard     Music producer review
The more I use Auria the more I love it I dont use my desktop DAW at all anymore The available plugins are some of the best available on any platform Every music app developer claims that the sonic possibilities are endless This is the only app developer who can truthfully make that claim If you can imagine it or even if you cant you can make it with Auria and its plugins your creativity and your instruments or voice This kind of setup in hardware would cost you thousands                 Powerhouse iOS DAW
I wish people would cease with the negative reviews of Auria Common complaints of lack of midi and bugs are from frustrated people who fail to see the bigger picture Auria is without peer in the world of iOS recording While midi support is on the way and will further cement Aurias place as the king of iOS music production apps it is sadly overlooked that Auria is the only truly prograde option for multitrack recording on the iPad As for bugs they are mostly related to apps used in conjunction with Auria and are not the fault of the developer Bottom line I have done dozens of simultaneous multichannel recordings with Auria performed rocksolid every time If you have experience with a desktop DAW youll find Auria refreshingly familiar yet unique in its own way And it only costs 25 seriously what other app desktop or tablet gives you this kind of quality for that low of a price Its also worth mentioning that Rim Aurias developer is one of the good guys sincerely cares about user feedback and deserves much more support than some of these reviews are giving                 Peerless in the iOS world
The first 50 is nothing Practically every plugin is 10 or more There are other apps that are just as good for a lot less in my opinion     Way too expensive
A truly essential app on ios so many great features that have no equal I am continually impressed by its development Thank you Rim for bringing us this fantastic app                 Top notch app
This app had me frothing at the bit to get I got it and now its getting me It crashes stares at me and does everything but work Im using an iPad Air 64 gig Every time in use audio buss theres an issue no sound outlow memconv reverb dont work with audiobus Half of the on board instruments have to be pampered removed from active and on and on Ive used multitrack app with very simple setup and great results I know this app has received great reviews from people using audio input with audio interfaces and it does work with those applications I have Reason and Ableton for thatI want to use this a back yard under a tree idea tool Too much hassle     Does no magic for me
If you do not have this app your sleeping on the best prepost production software on a tablet Yes I said software                 Desktop power
Have a iPad 2 and no signal on rec tried to use internal mic did not work still no sound but will play demo fine Using ios84 just updated to 84 Any help out there     No sound
Thanks for the updates Add more plugin and I will keep buying                 Great app
Extremely Pro Should be called Auria Pro Who cares about midi on the iPad Audio editing is great enough Leave the midi to the laptop Save processing power for Auria and iPad Dont change a thing just hope Apple release bigger and better powerful iPads to support this beast                 THE BEST FIVE STARS
It works and sounds decent but the Audiobus implementation is bad and after spending maybe too much on this app and some plugs it still has no MIDI sequencing Add that and clean up the Audiobus implementation and this review would go to five Im on a iPad Air 128 GB and see no reason for this not having MIDI sequencerjust dont let Retronyms do it Addition to my earlier review Ive removed one star as this app STILL will not sync with most other apps If you plan on using this app to create multi track sessions of other iOS instruments its best to look elsewhere as it is nearly impossible to use this app in that wayseems a it silly doesnt it We where promised this would be fixed Now weve been told that in order to use it the way Ive described you will have to buy the new version of Auria when it is released     It works but 2 years later STILL NO MIDI
Remember when pro recording professionals dismissed desktop recording way back in the 90s Now every pro studio has at least one or two and use them avidly And now we have Auria on the iPad and similarly veteran home studio enthusiasts are questioning all this new wave mobile recording Well every time they question Auria is the answer and along with a handful of similar iDAWs it has become the new standardbearer This is the future of recording and the future is bright To those bemoaning lack of a sequencerMIDI its on the way Until then Ive found Genome Beatmaker 2 Music Studio and Gadget all to be viable solutions not workarounds solutions Totally pro sound Easy for anyone whos used anything from a 4 track recorder to Garageband to learn Totally worth 50 bucks For a more detailed description of features and fullness see Ruskoburgers review a few slots below if you sort reviews by date like I do He sums it up better than I could Im looking forward to the longawaited MIDI IAP but the lack isnt holding me back in the slightest If youre serious about getting in on mobile recording at the ground floor get serious about Auria the gold standard for mobile DAWs                 Total Game Changer
Ive own auria for a good while and what I love the most it as most of the music plug ins I have on my desktop that translate so well on My iPad Dont know what I would do without Auria                 The best music app
Ive spent hours hoping and downloading audio apps This is by far the best download to date for audio professionals Give this one a go Youll be glad you did The layout is simple but very concise and the learning curve is easy              Best So Far
Love it Sounds amazing and does everything I need it to                 Amazing
Using it with an Apogee One and couldnt be happier with quality Its supplementing my main rig running Logic through an Apogee Ensemble and cross compatibility is flawless Truly worth the                 Really Great
Auria is a beautiful amazingly powerful DAW for the iPad It comes packed with an abundant of power tools for capturing editing mixing and mastering audio with a very powerful suite of third party tools available My impression is that you get the same plugins in Auria as on the MacPC but at 110 of the price The developer is very responsive with frequent participation on the Auria forum A new version is imminent which will offer MIDI making this amazing app over the top Highly recommended                 Great iOS DAW with MIDI on the way
Auria and Cubasis represent the gold standard for iOS recording If you are a fan of MIDI implementation I have heard that Cubasis is the better option But Auria is an outstanding DAW that has endless possibilities with IAA and AudioBus effects and can be as simple or complex as you want it to be I came to Auria after a half year of using MultiTrack DAW Nothing wrong with MT DAW and I still will use it on iPhone but Auria is simply a cut above Part of my apprehension stemmed from the fact that I am still using an iPad2 which is the oldest recommended device I wont deny that crashes do happen and you have to do some caretaking with your RAM on an older device But in general I dont find it to be any noticeably less reliable than other recording options on iOS ALL of these apps require a lot of CPU and until we get more powerful devices properly managing your workload is a necessity But if you follow those rules Auria is one powerful mobile workstation I do strongly recommend the full version versus LE watch for the sale not just because it allows more tracks but because it allows track freezing which basically locks effects automation etc into a recording so you can add other tracks with less resource use Compared to MT DAW or even GarageBand working with the editing grid is so much easier Splitting tracks is simple as is moving things around Since I do a lot of looping having a simple duplicate button is almost worth the price of admission by itself And the effects add ons and IAA integration have brought new life into apps like Turnado and WOW that I could barely use before This is an excellent app                 An elite DAW option for iOS multitrack recording
Great program I use with a Steinberg UR824 and it works great One thing I would love to see is expanded import optionssupport Dropbox is widely used and relevant but limited in space unless you pay for extra Would love to see support for Microsoft One Drive Google Drive etc I have MS Office 365 which gives you a terabyte of cloud storage with One Drive much better than Dropboxs default 2gigs if you wanted to have all your pro audio projects on the cloud and access them from your iPad remotely With Dropbox there is a lot more shuffling around for me at least              Great mobile DAW looking for expanded importing options
Plug insexcellent Iaa audiobus check Developerawesome Sound quality killer this app does not have midi but it will upgrade to the new pro version very soon so buy ituse itIAP the new version Not to mention its getting great midia great synthtwin2 and a sampler This app is one of the best apps in the App Store period                 Best daw on ios
Looks horrible on a retina iPad Not as good on resources as similar apps           Title
Best support Best plugins Its also about to raise the bar yet again with the coming update Auria everyone else                 Best DAW on iOS Nothing else is in the same league
The App Store page says this apps size is 274MB but on my iPad2 it actually takes up 355MB In addition when you first launch the app a 400MB sample project gets automatically downloadedinstalled So it all adds up to 755MB If you only have 16GB actually 13GB capacity you can save some valuable space by simply deleting the sample project The Approach              Takes up more than 274MB
Love the app and the simplicity Just got used to using it as a scratch pad and upgraded to iOS 8 and it will not work Please make the app compatible with iOS 8                 iOS 8
Im using an IPad Air 2 I was eager to buy Auria and Im pleased with most of the features so farBUTtwo HUGE and fundamental problems 1 I can only rarely adjust my recording level when using my At2020 USB mic Sometimes it works for a minute but each time I lose control of the record level BAD 2 I get very little input monitoring in my headphones when recording and there is no way to properly adjust these levels For the price I paid these issues need to be addressed DAW Multitrack does both these functions perfectly so it is not my mic or headphones Please do something        What is wrong
I love this app a former Logic user I never open it anymore It is so easy to get comfortable somewhere almost anywhere and work on my music I can do it on the patio in the garage on the couch I know a lot of people have complained about various glitches and hiccups but I have just not seen them I use several inter app audio apps as well as a few audiobus apps and the ease of use is great Customer support has been great plus help on the Auria forum Get it                 Auria user
Yeah there are some missing but upcoming features weve all long waited for yet I cant fault it for anything thats not in the detailed app description and website It does exactly what I bought at launch and has provided opportunities to professional level plugins for a fraction of the price Other products might offer MIDI sequencing but they PALE in comparison in regards to FX or mastering capabilities and other tidbits along the way Currently on iOS a mobile OS mind you there is no complete DAW solution Ignore the 1 star reviews complaining of incorrect expectations andor assumptions as they are misleading uneducated consumers that have unfortunately tainted this amazing apps reputation                 I got what I paid for
I dont really know why I bought thisits nice and all but I already had fl studio hd jam up with 8 track and vocal live with the studio bundleplus audiobusthe OOOONNNLY reason I can see this being useful to me is if I get a mixer controller that controls all if not most of the tracksso I can mic up drums to their own channela whole band if need bethen in that aspect this would be invaluable but for 25 Ill keep it on the back burner because I know itll come in handy Pswith all the apps plus this Im not buying anymoredid I mention I have amplitude and loopythis doesnt have a sequencer but I play live              Nice app
First off there is no Bluetooth or mixing mode Second this app is the most complicated app I have seen on the App Store and Im not a newbie to multitrack DAWs Third this apps effect chain is limited to 4 effects Why Next everything about this app is sky high in prices especially for an App Store app Also all of its stores pluggins are too way to expensive Lastly Im using an iPad Air 2 128 Gb and Auria says I am maxing out the cpu when Im only using 1 track My iPad has 2Gb of ram so I think it can handle one track The developers of this app seriously need to start from the drawing board and recreate this app This time include a mode for Bluetooth     Worst Purchase Ever
This daw is the best on IOS SO MANY synths and drum machines on my iPad a midi sequencer is not a dealbreaker I dont miss it in the least Again deleted my other daws This one is dope                 No midi sequencer So what
Not sure if its the app or the iPads themselves but there is bizarre happenings in this program I imported audio from Beat Maker 2 and if I try and move it around the audio gets lost Ill delete it and the audio still plays and Ill play it again and only parts of the audio will play play it again and the audio wont play What kind of sorcery is this Other things like a message that it cant save right now so I click ok and it pops up again I say uh huh ok and click again Cycle repeats Theres a lot of cool things this can do when it works And Im still learning it But I know glitches when I see them I really need to invest in a pc           Completely Bonkers
Blessed to have recorded recent EP on this with Final Touch mastering app Please look up Frankie May and album is Youre The One Available on iTunes Playstore Spotify etc thanks devs God bless                 The best daw IMHO
Need some help Some kinda update that solve this annoyance Even when I delete it and then reinstall it It does it every time Even when there is no plugs in maybe be 1 or 2 to get project started Memory low it says Spent 54 for this app And bought a couple of inapp purchase and ended up with something that I cant really use           Still crashes on iPad 2 when there is no app running in the background
Auria let me down BUYER BEWARE Im a recording studio owner who was commissioned to record a live birthday show for a local singer songwriter in the Denver area I wanted to minimize my setup to record the show and actually did home trials to verify that the 4track recording could be accomplished in a full 15 hour show at a 441k sample rate I first experienced the tics and many performance issues and software bugs I gave Auria the full amount of memory and made sure my iPad2 had ample space to accommodate recording space I interfaced it with an Apogee Quartet and very high quality microphones AKG as well as the line out of a mixer to capture the full show and applause from the crowd As I stated I increased the buffer size so the CPU wouldnt lock up At home I proved that the app could run for a full 15 hours Then at the event I was commissioned to record 4 tracks recorded throughout the full evening with beautiful sound as heard through the earphones Perfect mix After the show ended I hit the STOP button and allow time for the iPad to process full recording 4 tracks show up in the directory and ONLY ONE TRACK ACTUALLY RECORDED AND SHOWED UP IN THE TIMELINE OF THE APP Psych WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT and EMBARRASSMENT at this artists birthday show Why did this happen I actually recorded 3 artists that night 2 opening acts leading up to the finale I was commissioned to record The opening acts were also screwed up I used the same 4channel setup no different than my setup at home prior to the event Act 1 recorded only 2 tracks while during the recording process there were clearly 4 channels active Disappointment 1 Prior to Act 2 I closed the app and rebooted the full iPad and Apogee interface gave even more buffer memory to the app and established a new project After 30 minutes of play I pressed the STOP button then noticed that the processing halted at the end and didnt complete After waiting a substantial amount of time I had no choice but to kill the app in the process Danger Danger When I brought back Act 2 only ONE channel showed up on the timeline Disappointment 2 Now for the main event Again I did a full reset and started up the app again I now had to record for 15 hours at 441khz sample rate I had 18GB of storage on the iPad At this point I would have rather used my iMAC with logic which is highly reliable and well engineered I again feared that the processing wouldnt complete and thought there might be a handshake issue between the iPad and the Apogee Quartet interface so after I hit stop and while processing was being performed I disconnected the cable to eliminate a HW handshake issue just desperate guessing It worked The processing didnt HANG and I was happy go back and see the 4 recorded channels Disappointment 3 Only Channel 1 actually showed up on the timeline even though 4 Channels show up in the directory What the hell is going on You have Software issues If your SW was not ready for market it shouldnt have been sold and of course this is my biggest regret purchasing Auria I want a REAL explanation or what happened here and I want a phone number to get my money back if I dont get a REAL explanation If anything if recoverable from this project I would appreciate a personal phone call I will never take Auria on the road again Bottom line AURIA LET ME DOWN     AURIA LET ME DOWN
Nothing change in this app since almost a year agoFirstdeveloper promises to add midi supportbut they only still fixes the bugsCheck the app version of historySecondly worklow is a painegI wanted to timestretch simple audio fileI spend few hours to find how to do itof course Ive read manual file first result not good as I wantedPluginsvery goodbut not the same as a Pc version but you have to be a millionare if you want to use it on iPadalmost 40 for one pluginhey guys wake upIt is not Logic Pro XAnd last reviewsdont believe at 5 stars if you are a composertry to find other app in Appstore which let you make music and play instruments     Waste of money
There are quite a few complaints on this app but I cant for the life of me understand why Ive been using auria for almost a year and have pushed both my iPad mini and my iPad mini 2 to the bounds of what I thought possible for truly mobile studio production I find that my iPad mini 2 and auria can handle mixing and tracking better than most of the desktop daws I have used in the past And thanks to my apogee mic I get amazing artifact free digital recording where ever I am Kudos to WaveMachine Labs for options like aaf Dropbox support saves your precious diskspace and finally interapp audio audiobus support You guys rock I dont see the issues people are having with monitoring graphics or input levels I get good clean takes every time I will continue to support your products for the foreseeable future and im very excited for auria pro                 Cant please everyone
If youre looking for THE Thunder God of iPad audio recording appsAuria is it hands down For potential buyers whove been reading all the reviews to get a feel for what Auria has to offer Ill start with these rebuttals to the negative reviews I feel that an app like this deserves it Im in no way associated with the makers of Auria This also might give people some tips and then well get to my indepth review The supernegative reviews are either factually challenged or just whiny The included PSPdesigned channel strips DO workturn Bypass light offand they will get you where you need to go without any IAPs AUXes will solo along with a soloed track if Solo Safe Mode is checked in SettingsRTFM the manual also clearly states that convolution reverb doesnt work with AudioBus and comparing it unfavorably to GarageBand in terms of quality and featuresshould simply embarrass that reviewer Timestretching works Plain and simple And no timestretching is pristineplus it depends on your source material and whether youre going longer or shorter I think MIDI will be coming But right now its a fantastic audio editor wo MIDIget over it Also its lame for reviewers to subtract 1 2 or more stars since they dont dig the graphics Thats just out of proportion Its an audio app on an iPad Plus I like that Aurias mixer looks like Reasons classic 142 mixer Legitimate gripes about CPUhungriness and lagginess are reasonable and heyI can bog down my DAWs on a desktop no problem too but there are work arounds freeze tracks to free up CPU and minimize or turn the wave display off with the dedicated slider to smooth lagginess in Track View REVIEW Auria has worked like a champ on my iPad 3 since I started using it in July of 13 But on my brandnew new Air it just runs fluidly Id go as far as to say baby smooth The layout is unfrivolous but not unpleasantWaveMachine Labs priorities are properly ordered here The workflow at least in terms of an iPad is head and shoulders above anything else right now The tools features and functions are all transparent and classic the paradigms match standard DAW and basic iOS stuff In other words theres no playing the interface a basic Jakob Nielsen usability tenet If youre familiar with DAW paradigms Auria has a mighty small learning curve Auria comes with a full set of tools and effects Highquality if nothing too fancy But def fullfeatured Beyond those the IAP plugins are nothing short of stunning Equal to or better than stuff I have on my desktop computer I have all the IAP pluginsinsane quality interface tweakability etc The PSP Old Timer and MicroWarmer are dynamite And I cant forgetDrumagog Mind you all these for a fraction of what their desktop versions cost yet with at least 95 of the same featuresfunctionality A single fabFilter desktop plug will run you 200300 at least And people b7ch about 2040 apiece for them in Auria Unreal Auria supports AudioBus IAAand WIST and though I havent tried it yet the idea is link two iPads48 tracks Pristine sound quality multiple format bitrate and depth choices Solid and reliable coding Having the indispensable AudioShare by Kymatica is a workflow bonus I highly recommend as well The forums are helpful and moderated with thoughtfulness total technical savvy and professionalism I also have Cubasis Meteor and GB deleted Meteor and GByikes I got Cubasis for its MIDI since Auria doesnt support thatyet However Auria is truly revolutionary for the iPad Thats clearly WM Labs ethos and it shows all around in Auria From using Auria and what Ive readAuria pretty much singlehandedly made people take iPad recording as not only possible but take it seriously A big fat cigar to the devs at WaveMachine Labs You want a prolevel audio solution on an iPad Boom Here it is You cannot go wrong with Auria on an iPad 3 or higher Nick RuskoBerger millionVALVE Street Cred Used 4track cassette 19871999 Roland VS 880EX 19962001 DAWs since 2001 iPad since 2012                 THE iPad multitrack audio app Period
By far the best iOS DAW and getting better The plugins alone set Auria above any other Rim and the team are innovators and continue to make Auria better For anyone expecting Auria to make you sing like Jagger rap like Jay Z play like Hendrix or Page drum like Bonham etc this is NOT the app for you For those who are expecting the MIDI update to do the same or cant figure the simple work arounds to use MIDI on your iPad with Auria I have nothing to say except make some music be creative and use the tools that Auria provides to bring your production to a professional level THIS IS A GREAT APP                 Best iOS DAW PERIOD
I purchased this when it first came out and have loved it ever since Cant wait for the update which will add MIDI among other new options The available plugins are topnotch and so worth the small prices compared to what you would pay for them on your desktop DAW I cant believe this type of program is available and runs on my iPad mini it has basically replaced my several thousand setup and it will only get better                 Awesome DAW
The things Auria can do are amazing On my iPad Who da thought Pro is coming but honestly this thing is already pro                 Supreme DAW
ok well it seems like when Im completely honest and mention the lack of a midi sequencer my review seems to get removed lol well as great as this is its still dated by not having a full midi sequencer yes it pretty much has all the things you need for audio but a midi sequencer is a part of every desktop daw I can think of so this will not replace my desktop Daw until it then otherwise I still need to use other apps to do what Auria is incapable of Im ok with it nt having any synths drums or any other instruments but it should have a sequencer by now note to other reviewers everyone is entitled to their own opinions and needs           Wont replace my desktop daw yet
I dont get a full waveform after I record a track Other than that seems great so far except for all the extra stuff you have to pay for Be aware of that before you buy it I didnt see all of that until after           Glitches
