Worked I followed the string posted below to find my desktops mac address I put that on the app and it worked Thanks for a great free app                 Prefsnetworkand so on

It takes a little bit of network knowledge but it took me all of 2 minutes to set it up and it works fine Interestingly my old powerbook running Apples Remote Desktop wont wake my Mac Pro remotely but this app will Its a lifesaver and its free to boot Those giving it 1 star are a bunch of whiners or is that weiners     Works Great

I love this app I can lay in bed and turn on my computer In combination with Jaadu VNC its like having a computer with me everywhere in my house                 Very useful

This program was excelent but unfortunately the update messed it up        Stopped working after the update

I love this free ap so much i bought one of his other apps this app is SO easy to use yes you need to figure out your mac address and if you odnt know what that is he got easy to follow direction on his web site if you can not follow those you have no need for this app IT FREE why not try it                 This is perfect and simple

In conjunction with Ignition perfect combo Grab the Mac open the port and make sure your wired Nicely done only free option that I could find                 Simple and works

Great app I use it regularly to wake my desktop from anywhere in the house so I can use things like RDPFTP Was a little hard to set my computer right but it works great now And only one button what could be simpler                 Perfect for what I need

Troubleshooting would help     Couldnt get it to work

This app would probably get better reviews if it had Detailed explaination how to find your Mac Address and an open port Could wake more than one computer Could also put your comptuer back to sleep Otherwise this is just what I needed I had to do a little googling to see where I can find my Mac address under network settings in your system preferences and I used port 9000 which Im not sure if that helps anyone but it worked for me I have a simple consumer wifi router and I didnt have to do any extra setup Version 14 works well with OS30 Awesome And free And who cares about the ad its not that big of a deal I would buy an updated version if one was released              Great

You should make this for PCs If it just goes off of ip addresses I imagine it would work for PCs                 Macs only

Took 10 seconds to enter my MAC address and now I can power on my MacPro with the touch of a button instead of having to log into the DDWRT web interface on my router The only annoyance I came across is how hard it was to get the info button to respond to touch I think the input radius needs to be larger                 Works great

Whats the point of a WOL app that only works over your local network and not the Internet If Im at home I can just as easily walk a few steps to my pc and wake it up by moving the mouse or tapping a key on the keyboard The real power of wake on LAN is to be able to wake your pc when you arent at home so that you want use tools like RemoteDesktop to control your awakened pc This tool cannot do that as it stands now The only free tool Ive found so far that can do this on the app store is RemoteBoot which I am now using together with DDWRT on my router with the appropriate configuration to forward the WOL message to my LAN when it arrives via the WAN     Not useful since it only works when connected to LAN

Uh where do I enter the MAC addressa big red button and my phones IP displayed So simple and does not work     Uh where do i enter

Doesnt wake up my NIC I tried a free utility on my PC mcwol as a test and that one works Granted Awake doesnt claim to work with a PC but I hope Apple doesnt require propriatary magic packets or vice versa The application is pretty quick and easy to set up though Also clicking the button very fast actually sends lots and lots of magic packets Note it is only good for local LAN as the IP address is fixed It looks like Markus offers a pay version that allows you to route the magic packet to another network        Does not work with Intel Pro100 VE NIC

Wakes up my local htpc with a press of a button And its free Works like charm                 Great

Works great to wake my Win 7 PC so I can watch movies on my iTunes library from Apple TV Make sure the LAN adapter on the computer you want to wake up is set to allow wake on LAN You can easily Google it to find out how                 Perfect simple solution

I downloaded this just to check that my computer was responding properly to Wake on LAN messages and it worked fine Ludwigbear you seem to be missing the obvious here WOL is wake on LAN LAN is local area network Thus WOL works over your local area network not the Internet If this isnt what youre looking for then dont bash the application for what it isnt              Does what its supposed to

Great way to test WOL before spending the money on a feature packed app Will wake one computer on the network just put in Mac address and the port number you assigned on the router This app will prove the computer and router will work as configured before spending any more money Thank you to the Dev Anyone posting less than 5 stars should be ignored this app works as described and was a big help to me                 Works great

It was hard to figure out how to get to the configuration screen to input the mac address but once i figured that out it just works like a charm              Works

I got this app back in January and I loved it Its the simplest app to use for WakeonLAN But after upgrading to iOS 4 the app crashes when I push the red button It hasnt been tested on iOS 4 and it really needs to        Nice app but doesnt work on iOS 4

Those who claim this app doesnt work should try other apps they wont work for them too Its not about the app                 Works absolutely great

I followed the instructions in the single review about how to set the MACAddress after hitting the Info button I cant get it to wake my iMac Please post better instructions and trouble shooting advice     Cant get it to work

This app used to work perfectly Now that it has been updated I cant get it to work anymore I tried to get support from the author but no answers How do you find the port number     Bring back the old version
