The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Console for iOS lets you quickly and easily view and manage your existing Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances and Amazon CloudWatch alarms from your phone. It provides mobile-relevant tasks ...
Why default to a region where I dont have any ec2 instances running This was confusing at first as it said I had 00 instances running Please build ipad app as well This iPhone version is tiny on ipad Its ok
Very handy to have quick access to info and the ability to act on them while on the road Appreciate the iPhone usability and the native iPad support Bravo Thank You
The only reason for the imperfect score is a lack of in app documentation explaining present functionality I enjoy exploring toy apps but this is a tool for a serious service so it warrant a readme Plenty of functionality
Please add this feature Cannot edit Route 53 entries
Its clearly v1 but the most important pieces are here see the status of your webservers and alarms and reboot them from your phone Thanks aws Great
Now I can reboot and manage my AWS instances on the road This is great
If we got some basic file browse and share options from S3 like Dropbox with controlled link expiry and temporary download access for shared file then I would be very happy indeed Thanks AWS Need file search and share
Its gone from 1 star to 2 with the addition to store keys and not have to retype a password every couple of minutes to me it wasnt even useable before However I really want this to be a console I can use for more than a quick lookreboot so heres some requests in order of desire 1AMIs Let me not only instantiate an Instance from an AMI but also crossregion copy them 2Cloud Formation Even if I have to copy the raw json to an entry field Ill take it 3Let me edit some fields in the EC2 console Getting there
Unusable It rejects a valid key pair It rejects a valid key pair
The app is a great start but Id like the ability to create instances and control other services from my iPad and iPhone Great start
much better than trying to use the web app on your iPhone Way better than the responsive design on AWS
Pretty handy Pretty
I have tried to use the AWS console from my phone via the web several times and it wasnt very convenient Finally a native app that I can use to administer things when on the move Awesome
So far it is excellent Finally a pro AWS offering
Can you add S3 Great app
Im currently using it only for personal use and my needs are very modest so I dont have to edit much like the other two reviewers mentioned if I did Id probably do that from my computer since thats where Id upload files from so for me its a nonissue App specifics There is a high degree of granularity so that I can quickly pull up an asset I have in a bucket and see it in the browser You can easily login as any of the users you have set up which made me feel reassured that someone was thinking this through on the other end I really like that the billing is so easy to get to so I can monitor it This is so easy to use Im now in the process of moving my work away from other read yucky companies to AWS This app is light years beyond what some other major hosting companies have achieved That I can check my buckets instances etc in one hand with my toddler running around my feet is a huge plus for me Right now its plenty for my small projects but since I also have an enterprise account for work Ill probably give that a try at some point too The layout is really nice and intuitive In terms of design it is nicely in keeping with the website The designers and developers did a great job of bringing the robustness of AWS to an app Its yet another experience that has won me over to AWS I dig it Easy to use
Great app fully functional except you cannot launch new instances from the app 1 star for that Phenomenal app Amazon Exceptional App
This is a great app and I really like all of the features that have been added so far Id only wish for it to not prompt me for the password each time I log in Maybe you can enable the fingerprint scan or an inapp passcode lock Thank you
The interface in the App is way better than the Web UI Id give it 5 stars if SQS management was supported Glad they made this
Hopefully more features will be added including push notifs Good first version
The app is fairly good reasonable features decent reporting but I never use it because it doesnt store login credentials meaning I have to enter a strong password and MFA token every single time Good security practice would use a durable login token for readonly operations and only require strong authentication for disruptive operations or anything which would incur new charges They need to get serious about security usability
Often I find myself on the road with only my phone This app has helped me a lot with little things such as variously manipulating an instance Fast and convenient Helpful app
I was expecting something closer in fidelity to the desktop browser experience but this app does nothing more than list existing resources I want featurecomplete management tool not a very basic stats page Not even close
Was hoping for a native app instead if HTML5 But looking forward to having it at all Not native
Where are my load balancers Where are my RDS and EBS instances and CloudFront distributions This app is missing the majority of what I hoped to access The reboot and terminate buttons are way to big and far too easy to accidentally press This app is a halfbaked idea over simplified and leaves a lot to be desired Missing the majority of AWS console
Works as expected and the AWS folks are always adding new features Thx much Crazy handy
While minimalistic it is improving and getting better The initial support for viewing Route 53 is a good start but Id like to createeditdelete zones and records An option to remember credentials would be nice maybe require pass code lock on the phone to enable the option Getting better
Wish it could change more such as adding and removing instances from elastic load balancers Ok for viewing Cant change much
I really was hoping I could at least edit meta data or change permissions on items in my buckets but you can only view details on the files The apps UI is better than the website though except that you cant change any file properties or anything Doesnt let you edit meta data or anything for S3 bucket items
Start and stop existing ec2 instances is about it Nothing about provisioning new instances provisioning ip addresses Nothing about EBS Route 53 ELB or IAM Not sure what use it is Just use the regular web console on an iPad if you want to go mobile Doesnt do much
This no longer works as of today What just happened Keep telling me to restart not functional even after
UI is amazing And apparently it does not require that I login each time which would be crazy since my AWS password is so long and impossible to remember This will be a very useful app for doing what appears to be almost anything in AWS while Im on the go Thanks Devs UPDATE Apparently the credentials are only saved temporarily If I try to login the next day I must reenter my password Since my password is a randomly generated 30 character password impossible to type correctly let alone remember Ive resorted to copying and pasting it from a Note each time It would be great if they implemented some sort of optional PINbased login for the app like my bank has Very Smooth
Nice Now please let me keep an eye on my ELBs and view logs Thanks for the app and look forward to updates Youve made it to the first page of my home screen for now YES
Keep adding more features Keeps me wanting to move servers to AWS Awesome tool
Glad to see an app released by AWS for managing their web services and resources The fact that it accommodates multifactor authentication MFA is a big plus which distinguishes it from other cloud console apps for accessing AWS accounts For added security I would like to see passcode unlock and autolock features added to the app Finally an AWS console app from the source
I really need the ability to view SQS queues Once thats in there Ill give you 5 stars Love the app but
Installed this on my iPodTouch 5 running iOS7 Unfortunately the app could not proceed beyond the splash screen Totally useless Cannot even get past the splash screen
Ive got high hopes A great start
Aggressively add new features you say Havent done much since whatMarch Learn a bit from AWSome or Knowcloud please Meh
Just awesome Finally I love it
It would be great if you could open in on s3 files the only reason I downloaded this app actually Aside from not being able to do that this app works as advertised Cant edit s3 objects
cnnorth1 region supported Beijing
This app has very limited functionality all it lets you do is stop or terminate an EC2 instance There arent any controls for RDS or any other AWS service and its completely nonobvious how to even change a region Not impressed
I just heard about the app today and tried it out I have both work and personal AWS accounts and was able to access both view and control my instances and see billing related usage No complaints at all Works very well
Very useful tool for an AWS admin Makes quick tasks like snapshots security rule changes and modifying VPC network settings surprisingly simple Already finding myself reaching for my iPhone over the web dashboard for some tasks Since the app actually associates assets by instance rather than segregating assets by type this will probably become my go to method for AWS management moving forward Incredibly handy
