Ive used this app for years now Its one of the better ones out there However I would like to see the following improvements 1 Make the dice rolls truly random It seems like doubles pop up all the time when a pip is on the bar and always with a number that the opponent has blocked Also when both players have all their pips on the home row and are bearing off the player with the most pips on points 5 and 6 only rolls ones and twos 2 When I have multiple games going I would like a button to click for next game that takes me to the next game where its my turn to play See Words With Friends Currently I have to make 3 clicks toget to the next game Menu then Games and then the game I want next              App improvements

The dice rolls are rigged The game rolls doubles whenever it needs them over and over The computer consistently rolls EXACTLY what it needs to win Better than nothing but just barely        The Game Cheats

Well I thought I was not quite imagining he number of double rolls the computer gets in comparison to mine Obviously I am not the only one who has this complaint I am going to look for another app that will not be skewed     thought it was just my opinion

Not only is this awful game just as it has always been But now it will not let me end the game and start over I click menu then single player and it takes me back to the old game I was trying to get out of It still plays like a complete idiot then makes up for it with a string of doubles and lucky rolls It has absolutely no strategy plan Plays like a spoiled little girl when you knock off one their PIPs It also has a tendency to move its first piece all the way across into your home court A completely stupid move It takes double 1s or 2s when playing acey deucy Even when the board is wide open And this is playing the hard setting Until its fixed look elsewhere for a better version     Backgammon Blues

I like the game and other games by this company especially the cribbage but this one is a bit too well rigged The dice dont seem to be random The computer gets way too many doubles at just the right time I have lost too any games after being ahead when the computer happens to get doubles sometimes three in a row to move the checker off the board More random dice would be much better           Too many doubles

I have been playing the hard level of Backgammon HD for years because it is the only backgammon game that remotely approaches real play Saying that the computer still consistently rolls exactly what it needs to hit the opponent or to win With the most recent update and screen revision nothing is in the right place any more The board is crammed up at the top of the screen The Undo button had moved from top right to the bottom left The Roll and Double buttons have switched places As a result I am constantly doubling the score when I only intend to roll Not happy with the updates        Screen Update Poor

I cant even play a new game with a friend since the update This app always seems to have issues     Still having issues

Not a good update If a pip us out its too close to the edge of others that are in play and youll never get it back in on the first tap If a pop is knocked out it should be in the middle of the bridge not on the edge     What the heck

New update didnt fix the issue Wife and I havent played in weeks and looks like after this update we still wont be playing it We use to play this and hearts daily now havent played either one in weeks The sad thing is we have gone to other games by other developers now and are able to play Somehow this developer needs to fix the issues        Update didnt fix turn base issue

Since last update crashes when trying to access in progress tuen based games        Used to be good App

I bought this to play over game center because its supposed to do that There is no way to connect with friends The most I could do was play a random stranger     Doesnt work

I have played over 1000 games on this app and have decided to delete it If youve ever played on a real board with real dice youd notice the difference Getting three doubles in a row at just the right time to come from behind and pull out a win just doesnt happen very often in real backgammon On this game it happens regularly Makes both winning and losing far less enjoyable Also getting exact roles several times in a row is something that doesnt happen very often in real backgammon either Furthermore the game is full of glitches including it often allows players to just disconnect when they are losing without taking an actual loss on their record The only thing this game has going for it is the interface is well done But if the games dice arent truly random then who cares     Doubles and Exact Roles

Notifications inaccurate freezes even over wifi new format is even more inefficient than previous           The best out there is terrible

Brutal Computer consistently seems to get every roll it needs even managing to roll three even four doubles in a row to make a comeback and win Not to fun when it happens over end over    

Please remove the doubling cube from where the dice roll Very annoying     Do NOT Update

I dont play that much to be extra critical or to have a tons of suggestions I just enjoy the game and Its definitely one of the best                 I like it

I have played backgammon on a real board for nearly 40 years Playing this game at the hard level is maddening due to the consistently ridiculous rolls by the computer How does it know to double the stakes because its going to come from behind to roll 3 doubles in a row to win by 1 point I wish this were a rare occurrence but it is not This is not fun and needs to be fixed Update 2915 Well I just decided to try to play again thinking that maybe they had fixed things with an update But no despite all the the complaints it is the same crappy cheating game And for those of you who think it doesnt spend 40 years playing on a board sitting across from a live opponent and then come back and tell me how they rolled every roll they needed to win game after game after game Doesnt happen in real life If anyone knows a better backgammon game than this please post     Favors computer Extremely maddening

The game used to have more realistically random rolls Now so many doubles are repeatedly rolled mostly in favor of the computer it seems more like a rigged game Not fun or challenging Please make the rolls more like truly random rolls        Issues with repeated doubles

I love the AceyDeucy addition as well as the flow of the game My biggest problem when playing the computer is that it makes really dumb game moves It takes away from the fun The only thing that makes it an expert is the unbelievable hit roll of the dice it sometimes gets on           Dumb Computer Play

Game is full of bugs Crashes almost every time you play online and hit double It has even had you miss rolls and the other player get 2 rolls Even had me switch sides mid game online Dont waste your time     So full of bugs its crazy Its like its a beta game all over again

Wow Im amazed at the luck the computer has when behind Double sixes double fives and double twos in a row Its pretty blatant and makes the game frustrating and overall nonenjoyable Not worth it     Amazingly lucky computer player

The game has great graphics plays great EXCEPT it is very difficult to play the turn based game and apparently no way to play a match It seems like it should be easy to select play another game when a game is completed           Playing w friends

I love the feel and action of this game however it is not enough of a challenge on hard mode One thing in particular is the use of the doubling cube I think that the game only looks at the remaining pips If I have the advantage but I am behind on pips I double and the game accepts and usually redoubles Even though it is obvious that the game will probably lose           The game is too easy

The recent update took away the ability to forfeit a game and it has made the menu hard to follow or use I wish I could go back to the previous version        Destructive update

Taking away the resign functionality was a BIG mistake I dont want to play out a game I will clearly lose Screen layout much worse why muck with something that was very good I could go on but that is enough     Horrendous Update

This was a good game until the last update Now you are forced to see the advertisements to get to the main menu from any screen I paid for the app to not see advertisements This is now a junk app     Good before last update

I have only used the single player The game is programmed for the player to move the highest dice first regardless The player should have the ability to move the lower dice first This should be fixed I wonder about many of the computer moves often I can point to that questionable move as the turning point to the game I have tried only one other backgammon app and this one is far superior I win very often                 Pretty good

The computer gets doubles and perfect rolls all the time It hardly ever gets stuck with a single tile exposed always gets the roll that assures at least 2 tiles are together at all times Its frustrating and takes the fun from the game to know its unfair        I agree with other reviewers this game cheats All the time

The new menu system is really annoying hides often used buttons in a master menu that makes it more difficult to navigate And the new layout is pretty ugly on an iPhone 5 or 6        Annoying update

After the latest update the doubling cube now sits on top of one of the dice on the board instead of on the middle piece Hope there is a fix for this        problem with Doubling cube
