Please fix the update from crashing I know you are pushing a new app to get us to spend more money but please fix this I already paid for this one     Update Crashes

Crashes on start up When you pay for a app you would think they would fix the problems in a reasonable time Giving one star because its the leased I can give I dont like that you need a Internet connection to use either When I get in the mountains its useless     Not working

It used to work albeit rather awkwardly and mildly intuitive Now it wont even boot up After a few seconds the app closes Does anyone know if there is a fix on the way     Not working

Have now used this to plan several trips Syncs perfectly with iPhone app which I use for my GPS unit in the backcountry Really like the smart cutandpaste feature for coordinates Hoping to see a line drawing feature in future updates to allow true distance measurements and elevation profiles              Getting to be great

To start all those folks who complain of crashing apps try rebooting your dvice once a week rather than monthly Itll do you some good and keep you from bashing functional programs This app is useful but could use some functionality by way of routing lines without buying the premium program vertical profiles once a route has been established and better zooming on map packs I lost the trails and detail level at roughly 1000 feet altitude The great things about this app include the layover maps that allow the trails to be seen while viewing a satellite image overlay You can even control the opacity of the map which is fantastic The waypoints are top notch and somewhat editable at least the text but at times became cumbersome as ordering them is not changeable once they have been entered requires a deletereentry The graphics are nice and clean as well as the interface It has become a bit complex for what I need but that is someone elses treasure This app is worth every penny Just know what you are buying before committing to it Enjoy the trails              Could use some work but not bad

Love the layering features I would give it five stars if you could draw lines from waypoint to waypoint              Good app

If I was going somewhere that had cell coverage I would just use google maps The whole point of needing a topo map is for offline use but even though you pay for this it still requires a membership to save maps offline Wasted my money        Do not buy this Worthless without additional membership fees to use offline

I was first skeptical with the ratings of useless and poor But this app certainly is a waste of ones money I find it very disappointing that backpacker would allow themselves to be used by Trimble in such a manner If you read this please heed the warnings of USELESS It is not worth your money     Avid cartographer

I paid good money for this ap and now it wont load at all        Used to love

I use this App everyday in the field Its wonderful                 Great App

I updated to 21 and the app stopped working It cashed on start up every time So I deleted the app and doing so deletes the data such as stored map packs and trips and tried doing a fresh install That seemed to fix it as it now works but all my off line map packs even the free OSM ones are gone and i have to download again        Crashes on start up

The program works great I was able to download a large map pack for offline use download a trip pack from Trimble and off I went The map and waypoints were accurate and I never felt lost even though I was in the middle of the forest I have experienced no crashes with this app I would highly recommend this app                 Great Hiking App

Wont even let my register to log injust keeps flashing a sign that says you have been logged out Huh     Cant register

The description does mentions all the great features and they are great but very misleading As soon as you pay and open the ap it asks you to upgrade to use all the features Horrible application I would like my money back for this Dont bother buying this unless you want to spend more money Misleading     Scam

Every time I look for trip ID number I get frustrated I thought that they might not be available with the lite app so I bought the pro Still cant find a list of trips I have better luck looking up areas online and getting maps and info with a map book Dont buy this app     Dont Buy This App

This app was extremely helpful for reviewing future and previews hikes However there are two things that keep it from being perfect 1 You cant reorder the POIs if you decide to change the hike around or add new things to the hike so the POIs end up being out of sequence with the hike 2 The topography takes a very long time to load I can understand why since there is a lot of detail That needs to load but sometimes it never fully loads no matter how long I wait              Almost perfect

Enter all the information and you are told to correct the errors What errors You are left to your own devices entering the same stuff time and time again expecting a different result     Unable to register

When Im off network and cant log in the app basically freezes and crashes Not good if you have to use this out ON A TRAIL and dont have data access Apparently we also cant cache bing maps anymoremaking this app even more useless I needed an app where I can download maps and use the app off the grid Really disappointed     Fine if youre connected

This app used to work Now it just crashes     What happened

Doesnt have an import so youre stuck with whats on the screen     Program is LAME

After updating the app crashes It shows the start screen for about five seconds and then it goes away     App still crashes

I like this app but everytime I try to download a map the app crash Everything else is good              Crash

Dont know if its updates to IOS or the app at fault but while it worked more or less well for awhile lately it wouldnt load on iPad mini Had to delete and reinstall        Updates are breaking app

It only works with wifi even though it was advertised as being able to work without in Even when you download a map the map will not show up if you turn the wifi off or if you are out of range When I go backpacking I dont have wifi     Worthless

Current version does not open Previous version A lot of things that are nice about this app but also problems It crashes apparently updates mean that you lose access to features you need to have Internet access and two separate apps to do one simple task like using tracks and waypoints     Not great

The Lite version looks great but after buying the Pro to use the offline maps feature I find it crashes every few minutes while trying to download maps so it must be babysat Also the app seems to be unfinished unpolished in certain areas like hiding buttons when in landscape mode forcing you to use a trip to save any waypoints like for example your house and making a special button for pasting latlong coordinates from an email and forcing it onto the screen a feature Ill never use and I though many people do I gave it two stars because I think the potential is there        Ugh

Trimble apps very awkward to use Separate fees several overlapping similar apps poor download procedures weird handoffs to Apple App Store and ITunes all contribute to a befuddling experience and much higher costs than competing navigation apps However Trimble is the only company I have found to offer Public Land maps for the IPad           Awkard Trimble Apps

Great app Have used at home and on the trail off line Very accurate in Wyoming Wind River area I found trail that were not shown on other trail maps                 Hunter

Wow I was told this was the app to have were they ever wrong you are logged out flashes continually across the screen It initiates within a split second of saying successful login I tried customer service but all I got was a pathetic canned email response Can anyone recommend a good US mapping system HELP     Wheres help

Mapmaker pro will not accept my login for backpacker not when used on IPad Since IPad is a highly portable device you would think they would make it easier to sync           Not so swift

to date this is one of two topo maps i like has excellent detail at all levels of magnification              maps

I purchased this app to be able to store some areas of Aerial imagery directly on my device The size of the areas you can save are useless File sizes are way too large There should be an option to choose how much detail spatial resolution you want to save     Poor Storing Ability

I spend a lot of time off road and in the Bush in Alaska and Arizona and its great to see some of this topography before heading out the door              Very useful App
