Doing the pdf417 causes the app to closecrash        Sna travel

I was looking for an app that would scan any barcode and let you copy it to you clipboard this is it It doesnt try to show me the best price or fail to recognize nonUPC barcodes there are plenty others that will do that Shop Savvy is one I like This app seems to have a lot of advanced settings for barcode geeks I just point hit copy and close Its three clicks to done perfect                 Decodes barcodes and thats it

I needed a PDF417 reader and found this program I did have a small problem that it did not recognize PDF417 but that was because the default setting for the PDF417 encoding was off Just turn it on and youre good to go So much nicer than carting around a handheld scanner                 Program works great and is very handy but do check settings

Took me a while to figure out the app constantly scans when open versus there being a button to touch to start scanning or there being some indication its scanning Once I figured that out the app read a pdf417 fine Havent tried scanning other codes Would be handy to be able to scan from a photo on the phone           PDF417 works ok for me

After 2 weeks update unable to load I am tired of having it in my queue so I am deleting app     Update

This app can scan a number of different barcode types including the 1D barcodes QR code data matrix and PDF 417 Upon recognition it gives the option to copy or email the output It does not save any type of history which I like It is also very configurable                 Great Barcode Scanning App

Im using an iPhone 3GS and have a bunch of test barcodes It works very reliably for UPC EAN ISBN code 128 code 39 code 25 QR datamatrix and especially PDF417 I am totally blown away by how well this app works Since the app is constantly scanning and stops upon successful scan its nice to be able to turn off undesired symbologies so it doesnt accidentally see a different barcode than what youre looking to scan Would be nice to test from pix in photo library as an added feature Codes it does NOT handle are postal bar codes such as USPS4CB IMb POSTNET and PLANET My hats off to the developers great work                 Works great for me

Tried several other scanner apps all of which were laden with ads confusing interfaces attempts to get my location push me stuff etc This one not only doesnt subject you to all that junk the interface is simple and it worked flawlessly on the first try on a PDF417 code                 Perfect

This app is designed to showcase the developers SDK for integration into other apps but its an incredibly useful tool It scans just about any code you give it and the nofrills interface is wonderful for people who just want the raw data out of the codes On top of that it does a wonderful job of scanning and reading codes where other apps are almost impossible to use Its also one of the few apps available that does more than UPC Code 39 and Code 128 it has no problem reading PDF417 and mini PDF codes QR and DataMatrix codes                 Its the best

Fastest and most versatile scanner Ive found Its meant to be only a demo for developers considering integrating their scan technology so it lacks a lot of bells whistles like list compilation etc But if you have a barcode you cant read try this one out                 Lightening fast and fluent in many types

I love the app Use it for inventory purpose all the time But the new continuous scanning feature does not seem to offer any action after the scans Im left with a camera mode with a preview of the scanned barcodes Perhaps a button to stop the scanning would help Otherwise its by far the app that offers most reliable barcode scanning even in low light situation        The new continuous scanning feature is problematic

I was looking for an app that is just a scanner I wanted to be able to basically have a keyboard emulation scanner and thats what this is I simply scan the product copy and paste in to the product info on our website back end for POS operations Could not be happier I save time and human error and all the concentration of entering numbers                 Amazing for work and web development

First if you need to scan PDF417 barcodes then this is pretty much the only app out there It does a good job of scanning these 2d barcodes but is a bit slow Reading of standard 1d barcodes is incredibly fast and it will grab them before the 2d ones if you have multiple codes on a label The interface is very basic but it is just a demo of their SDK Overall its good but I would love to see someone take their SDK and put out a full fledged package              Good basic barcode reader

Im not a developer looking for a scanning back end Im just a user looking for an app that actually works and this is perfect and fast I dont want to be sent to a store Im not looking for deals I just want to know what the barcode reads Simple and this app works flawlessly Even on PDF417 codes This is the only app I have found that can read them A                 Works Perfect

Much faster than all the other barcode scanner apps Ive tried and doesnt have all kinds of useless crap tagging along with it Recognizes every barcode you could ever imagine just about instantly Only knocking a star off as it will spam its popular of the decode as long as the barcode stays in view even if you hit close If you want a no frills fast and accurate barcode scanner then get this It just so happens its free and no ads cant beat that              Works Fantastic

Right when the camera goes to scan a code the entire app crashes     Always Crashes

When I first installed this app crashed continuously after I dismissed the original dialog box Restarting the phone did not help As a final effort I launched the app and didnt do anything for about a minute Then I dismissed the dialog box It hasnt crashed since Now it gives me the info I need              Managed to get past the crashing

This is a fairly simple barcode app that has some quirks When a barcode is scanned it will show you the data and give you the option of copying it or emailing it but thats about it If a URL is recognized a GO button will appear and send you to Safari However it will not recognize more complicated QR schemes like vCard or the TEL prefix like other QR code apps can Also it will not automatically identify products from UPC codes or give pricing like other apps In terms of recognizing barcodes this app is amazing if its a 1D barcode It will read it in about half a second Sometimes its TOO goodfor example if you have several barcodes on a label it will just read the first one it sees You sometimes have to cover up the other barcodes or move them out of the frame but if youre trying to read a more complicated barcode like a PDF 417 and the edge of a Code 128 sneaks into the picture it will read the Code 128 before you can react Having a targeting feature tap the code you want would be very helpful 2D codes like PDF 417 take a little bit more time but the PDF codes are always recognized accurately Using the camera light seems to help if you can tilt it so the glare spot is not in the barcode QR code performance is also very good However data matrix codes seemed to be very problematic In particular it seems this app does not support base 256 matrices It will do text based ASCII matrices but the accuracy is not that great Half the time it will spit out a string of garbage Sometimes it seems like it reads the code too fast before its in focus and then you get garbage If it cant figure it out it will pop up a message saying it recognized a data matrix but thats it no data Whats the point this popping up if it was not able to decode anything I have to dismiss it and try again repeatedly Also there were several times when the camera was pointed away from things like my pants and it pops up data matrix no data of course spontaneously My pants do not have any kind of barcodes on them It almost seems like the data matrix code was thrown in latter without being tested thoroughly The user interface also has some issues First is the fact that this app only operates in landscape mode If you hold it in portrait mode it will sit there all day without recognizing a bar code I had to figure this out on my own so the app should either inform the user of this or be modified to work in portrait mode like most other apps The light switching was also a problem iPhone 4s If you turn the light on and it recognizes a code the light will shut off When you close the popup to scan for another code the lightbulb icon is still illuminated it still thinks the light is on So if you need the light again you have to toggle the icon off and on again This doesnt seem so bad but there is about a two second lag when switching the light which is way too long and very frustrating did it recognize that tap or not So in summary the devs needs fix the data matrix recognition and the light function with top priority Add base 256 support and make sure the app takes more time to read the matrix to before displaying the result Dont pop up a window if it wasnt decoded properly In short make it work as well as it reads PDF 417 codes and it will be great Light icon should accurately reflect the state of the light and respond in less than 500 ms I rate based on the features the app has so if everything worked well I would have awarded five stars even though it could use a few more features        Rules 1D barcodes fails with data matrix

I got this app to test our new shipping label at work and it scans PDF417 accurately Its the only app Ive found that does so and its free                 PDF417 Scans Great

I was looking for a bar code reader that works well and isnt burdened down with a bunch of social media features or advertisingpushing me to stores Every other app Ive tried either doesnt work well or is pushing me to go somewhere else after I scan the code I just want to scan codes and this app does it for me No trouble at all with scanning any codes that I point at it Dont be discouraged by the app being a demo for their SDK it works for fine for nondevelopers like me My only complaints are minor quibbles it would be nice to turn off the sound after a successful scan There is a weird pause after tapping Close after a scan where the dialog doesnt go away until a couple of seconds later two versions back did not do this                 Best scanner Ive found

I was looking for a good barcode scanner that would do any code not just QR and 3of9 shopping codes I needed to read labels for inventory and this works great It was tough to find filtering through all the shopping and price matching apps                 Great scanner for all types
