BeejiveIM for iPad

This app was just ok before IOS 7 Now it is just a pain in the neck It should be able to video chat That is why people are moving to Google hangouts and Skype They should update this app or pull it     Update or pull the app

Ive had this app for almost a year and I use it on a daily basis T be fair its the best IM app Ive been able to find but it is far from perfect especially for the price tag it carries which in an App Store ecosystem is almost astronomical If I pay this much for an app Im fully expecting prompt updates minimal bugs and a powerful performance This app falls short Notifications are off at times messages sometimes take too long to send or receive and there are sporadic outages for no apparent reason when AIM GChat and Facebook seem to be doing ok in other platforms Id expect this of a 99 app but not of one that costs 10 times as much Add to that the fact that BeeJive decided to create an iPadspecific app instead of making its iPhone version universally compatible and that directly halves the value users get for the high price tag I feel like after so long using the app Ive justified my purchase but I still dont feel like it was worth the money I spent I could have gotten a cheaper alternative and even though it may not be as elegantly designed because Ive yet to find a nicerlooking chat app to be fair it may perform a great deal better for a great deal less This review is not just for users it is also for you Beejive I know developers worth their salt read these things so keep the issues I brought up in mind If you care about your users and your product you need to improve on this Ive no doubts youll see an increase in users and downloads if you address these issues        Not worth the price

This app is not fun to use without landscape orientation working Please fix it     Fix Landscape Orientation

Works great but doesnt go to landscape anymore on iPad A fix would be great hoping it comes sooner than later        5050

Ive been a huge fan of Beejive for years especially when Beejive was the only product that allowed persistent server connection even when the app was closed or you lost connectivity However since iOS5 Beejive has been a huge disappointment The status is often incorrect showing that I am online but missing messages sent to me The app crashes FREQUENTLY or simply hangs The same behavior on the iPhone and the iPad Need to fix it ASAP or I am looking for a different IM client Its not a cheap app in the ecosystem so it should work more consistently        Losing faith in this product

No landscape mode Please fix     No landscape

The latest update makes this completely unusable on my iPad and iPhone It takes forever to connect if it ever does And if I can get connected it disconnects and I get a spinning circle that says Connecting FOREVER Dont pay for this And with iOS 7 it no longer works in landscape mode and the developer has been completely unresponsive I wish Apple would pull just piece of junk from the app store     This app is so bad Im sorry I paid for it

I originally bought this for use with Yahoo IM and it worked for a while Now possibly due to the iOS upgrades it works sporadically at best and despite their advertising it doesnt appear to work with Facebook at all I can send messages all day long about half of which go through but I cannot receive messages at all anymore and repeated requests through their customer support email system go unanswered As things stand now Im dropping this app entirely and eating the exorbitant amount of money I paid for it     Used to work poor customer support too expensive

Doesnt load my yim contacts at all and when it tries to it crashes Dont waste your money like I did     I wasted 5 on this app

Beejive asked me if I would allow notifications I elected yes Not in notification center at all No idea what happened No idea how to fix it     No notifications

This used to be a great IM multiclient app However Ive emailed about support on an issue several times and received no response The app has stopped working properly and is useless to me now     Unsupported

It kicked me off for no reason and now it keeps says not connected and i tried a different account still nothing     It kicked me off my account

I love Beejive and decided to by it for my ipad I am very disappointed to find out that landscape mode is not supported HUGE disappointment     NO LANDSCAPE MODE

Now If I spend money on an app especially for an app with a price tag like this it better me maintained     Fix this

I had this app on my blackberry before I upgraded to an iPone and loved it I now have an iPhone and an iPad My only issue with this app is that it does not allow you to be signed into any of the messenger services simultaneously on both devices If you are signed into Google Chat or Yahoo on the phone then it automatically signs you out on the device If there was away around that or a way to fix it it would be one of the best apps available           Not too bad

While the app used to be decent it hasnt been updated in a very long time The lack of updates has basically made the app useless as it just crashes on launch and the few times when it does actually launch it has so many bugs that it really cant be used The keyboard disappears landscape view doesnt work the list goes on and on If they update the app then I willing to try it again but not until then     Worthless

The developers recently updated the iPhone version of the app Wheres the iPad version Even better make the app universal please        Abandonware

Its closing in on a year without an update and there is a glaring bug in Beejive that causes the iPad to reset Sometimes when you switch to the app it takes the focus briefly appears and then the screen goes black This can be fixed by either switching to another app and coming back to Beejive or restarting Beejive Sometimes though the iPad goes to the Apple screen like it has rebootedI assume Beejive has cored This really needs to be fixed I would love to recommend this app because when it works it works well but this bug has become too much of a nuisance and that lack of any update since last year makes me wonder if Beejive is even in active development anymore I have a feeling I will be hunting up a new app soon to replace this one Maybe IM has improved        Is Beejive Dead

What the hell happened to landscape mode When typing most people use the iPad in landscape mode I cannot use this with only portrait mode From a UX perspective if this is a purposeful decision its a REALLY bad one Ill be using Nother app until this is fixed     Landscape Mode Suddenly NOT Working

This app would be great if it worked consistently My biggest issue is that every time I close the screen and reopen the keyboard is blank The app itself isnt frozen I can still type but I cannot see any of the letters where the keyboard is just shows up as a dark grey square     Broken app

pretty buggy for an app that cost money buy jira mobileconnect guys and get user feedback and do some debugging andfor private jabber rooms autoconnect simply doesnt work after a few minimizemaximize operations why cant i hide joins AND leaves for rooms in jabber i have never heard of a reason to hide disconnects but not joins tooweird very little consistency in interface between this one and the blackberry one and links to topics the help site from the menus contextsensitive help is what is expected also take advantage of screen real estate on the ipad still doesnt work for me and i own it for ipad and blackberry autojoin for persistent rooms in jabber only work without passwords with passwords you get a 401 error with no passing of the password or ability to reenter it have to delete and readd the room not cool submitted logs and not sure where they go there is no notification that anyone sees them did i mention that this app is expensive     fair but not working properly

I installed this app on my iPad Worked great for a few days until I get a crazy error message stating A general error occurred Please contact support Why would this happen out of nowhere So I delete the app and reinstall Great it begins to connect but it never does because now all it does is crashes It worked fine for days and I loved using this app Please fix this     Lots of issues that need to be fixed

Ive been using BeeJive since it came out for iOS But the fact that it hasnt been updated in nearly two years is disgraceful The iPad version rotates to portrait mode on launch and cannot be rotated back to landscape an issue that arose with iOS 7s release I think Ill go look for a new option        Used to be great

This used to be a great messenger app for the iPad However it hasnt been updated in forever and the developers seem to have no inclination to update it The landscape bug people have mentioned is a major nuisance and the crashing makes it unusable at times Look elsewhere for a messenger app     Dead product

I love this app because it let you save the conversation in a txt doc and email it to yourself but its not really useful if you cant type in landscape mode     What happened to landscape mode

Do not waste money on this It had some minor bugs before but it doesnt look or work properly anymore This would be a great program if it were updated Apple should re review apps after major os updates and not keep them available to rip people off     Needs update sorely
