BIAS FX turns your iPad into a world-class, guitar amp-and-effects processor. It gives you an endless collection of insanely great-sounding guitar pedalboards, ultra-high definition stereo rack effects, dual amps and dual signal chain. You can ...
Performance Dont get me wrong Bias FX works like a charm but ive been having issues of the app closing sometimes Not extremely annoing but raises some concerns like if i use it in a live scenario will it bail on me Sincerely i love positive grid apps the interface the tone the ease of use the great features Ive been using them in live situations and not even a single flaw so i fin Bias FX to be reliable and trustworthy but i want to be able to push it to the extreme knowing it wont shut down in a live gig Other than that tones awesome in this one The new aditions make it so fun to use and so easy to get beyondlegendary tones Four stars just because of the sometimesishutdown and some performance lag when using polu octave and some reverb and or delay units all at once Lo e to see that get fix Positive grid have been awesome at customer support and i can not ask anything from them so no single complaints there Awesome app awesome tones awesome service Proud fan and owner Thanks              Great only issues lies in
Waited forever for it to go on sale I bought it then hours later it went on sale for the first time go figure Sounds awesome though I wish it had more effects and amp models              Bought it hours before it went on sale
BIAS FX is undoubtedly the best sounding amp fx package on the iPad Truly marvelous stuff in the sound department However right now midi appears to be broken If you have more than one piece of midi gear in your setup that you send program change info to you can forget incorporating BIAS FX it is receiving midi on ALL CHANNELS regardless the of the midi channel setting in midi settings So if you send a program change on channel 1 to BIAS FX set to receive on channel 1 and a program change to another midi unit on channel 2 BIAS FX receives both program change messages The results are unpredictable sometimes BIAS FX loads the wrong patch sometimes an effect that is supposed to be off turns on sometimes BIAS FX CRASHES This is an app that is being advertised as a live solution but in my opinion youd be foolish to do so until the midi implementation is working 5 stars for sound 1 stars for broken midi sadly a 2 star app until fixed        Sounds Great but Midi Broken Forget Live Use Until Fixed
Absolutely great                 Awesome
Not worth 30 cause bias amp has all the same stuff I noticed it added a few things but I thought was a complete different app there almost the same and they work together I think it should just be a add on for like 10           No impressed
I was a little bitter at first at having to rebuy pedals I already bought in Jamup and I know more IAP is in the works But that said this app rocks Everything works perfectly for me including IAA and the sound is superb Very useable presets right out of the box and a bunch of good ones available for download im running this out through good speakers and it honestly sounds pretty close to my 1000 tube ampsThis is jamup on steroids nice                 Deja vu but way better this time
I have to admit I think Positive Grids Bias FXBias Amp has finally reached the pro level with regard to iOS guitar centered apps I play professionally using digital rigs but Ive always considered iPad based guitar apps to be fun toys and not anything Id want to use on stage JamUp Pro came really close but lacked the density and warmth of my PC based setup With Bias FX however they finally really nailed the tone And not just through headphones but through large extended range PA systems Big fat warm balanced tube tone Any shortcomings A few Some of my favorite amps and effects from JamUp Pro are not available for Bias FX Namely the Guru Amps the incredible Acoustic Amp from the Acoustic Bundle and the Mutron envelope follower Also Id like to see some better midi implementation Namely being able to separate individual effect onoff instead of grouping them in categories such as Mod Also being able to set the minimum and maximum response to midi controller changes from an expression pedal ie setting CC 007 at 000 as 25 on the master volume while 127 represents 80 I fully expect however that Positive Grid will continue to upgrade and add to this incredible app And for those complaining about the price What the heck A 20 app that accurately emulates thousands of dollars worth of equipment What are you complaining about                 Impressed
I have been trying out and mostly discarding digital ampseffects gear and software since they first began making them and BIAS FX is the BEST I have ever used Currently using with a Focusrite interface because interface matters                 Yes
I should say that as a disclaimer I have played roughly 4 hours with bass and very little with guitar except to add some tonematched amps which was probably an hour For a 30 app I was absolutely blown away when I loaded this up and immediately got fantastic results quite literally within minutes Ive been using a POD HD for home recording for a few years now and I would say this app is on par with the HD as far as guitar and far surpasses it on bass even with L6s recent bass expansion Combined with the implementation of tone matching from the PC version of BIAS I think that this app ranks somewhere between a POD HD and an Axe FX II Its really that good Ive been looking on the used market for a Darkglass B3K which is a 300 pedal and in a few minutes I rigged up the acoustic simulator in parallel with an Orange amp sim slapped some EQ and compression on and got the meanest growl Ive ever heard from a bass that sounded like a B3K on steroids The only downside to this app is that with great power comes great responsibility as well as great CPU usage which means a significant drain on the battery If you intend to gig with this I highly recommend getting IKs thunderbolt peripheral that allows you to use a thunderbolt interface for that sweet 99k while charging If not then you have roughly 90 minutes on a full charge I use it for recording and short band practices but until I get some means of an HD interface with a charger I cant gig with it Also Im kind of picky about my impulses for cabs Im very specific as most sound fake and there are very few that I actually like If I was able to load up my own impulses natively that would be incredible For now I go straight to the PA with the bass and just turn off the cab and go through a power amp to a real cab with the guitar Seriously though This thing will satisfy any player from newbies to tube purists to djent kids to professionals to engineers Absolutely buy it and pick up BIAS amp while youre at it for the ultimate combo                 Absolutely phenomenal
I really like this app But it would be nice if the LA2A add on displayed properly on the screen right now its just the knobs and buttons but no faceplate or gain meter It worries me a little that something like that could slip by QA or was there QA              Its good one thing though
Am I missing something Where are the bass amps jamUp pro with expansion packs is much more useful towards bassists Is there a list of what amp is represented by what model Not finding that very clear        As a bassist disappointed
I have both Jam Up and Bias and they work great I purchased Bias FX and it will not work I can not get an input signal to come through and I have re downloaded it many times Any advice     No Input signal
The app is odd and frustrating The frustration starts trying to integrate this app with JamUp Pro andor Bias like its supposed to You get a very small selection of amps effects etc for 30 much less than the JamUp Pro which cost 80 to unlock everything Considering the interapp nonsense is clunky and kinda glitchy I will probably be requesting a refund in a week or so if there isnt an update Overall compared to other Positive Grid stuff this is a MAJOR disappointment Its almost like we get the privilege to pay them 30 for an app that isnt even completely finished Ill definitely be emailing Positive Grid telling them that I completely dislike the app and ask if they actual plan to make the interapp crap worthwhile or not Whats the point of dual signal path capabilities if I cant use two instances of Bias to use two custom amps Seriously what is the intention with this app Because it is just awkward especially the IAA and the lack of ampsfx is completely ridiculous Tldr Wait until they actually make this thing usable At release its a test version and thats very obvious Positive Grid should be ashamed of themselves     Not impressed at all
wow Im usually 100 satisfied with Positive Grid this update is awful I lost all my presets I even had all of them backed up just in case the worse happened I still cant use them tried reinstalling them thru iTunes sharing and still cant get them back this is a HUGE let down I hope PG doesnt get too money hungry with IAP that they release bug filled updates also I cant reinstall some of my in app purchases not good           Full of bugs
I was harsh on PG when I first got Bias FX For whatever reason the Factory patches were horrible Awful But upon loading patches from the tone cloud Bias FX shown through Now I give Bias FX 5 Stars Worth your money but keep JamUp Pro and Bias Amp around also because JamUps practice tools are irreplaceable And if you dont have JamUp Pro what are you waiting for                 Awesome Why R the Factory Settings So Awful Needs Tone Cloud Sounds
I am updating my review BIAS is a great sounding app on a pro level One big problem that they say they are having trouble fixingrandom popping noises occur even when Im not playing And I am using clean jazz tones I have various interfaces that I have tried Apogee JAM and JAM 96k iRig Pro iTrack Dock and Alesis iODock and the pop occurs with all of them After constant emails back and forth they offered me a refund and promised to look into the problem I wrote them back refusing the refund I have invested fully in both products and said that as the app developer they owe it to me and other customers to fix the problem I am not changing my rating as you can see But I find their offer puzzling I will see what they say next                 I wont change my rating but who else is having the following problem
I cant open this app after first running I dunno why I just synced with BIAS Amp app then crash begin Plz fix this dev     App crashed after first running
I already invested a small fortune in the fully unlocked versions of BIAS Amp Jamup Pro Tonestack Ampkit Amplitube and Mobile POD So I was very reluctant to pay the high introductory price for BIAS FX Since I already own all of the content of Jamup Pro I had some mixed feelings about paying for a lot of the similar fx again But after using BIAS FX for a few days Im happy with my purchase and think Positive Grid deserves the support for their hard work on this new app I decided to edit my previous more negative review and give them credit where credit is due The sound engine of this app is amazing Although i had a couple of crashes with the previous version of this app the most recent update fixed that and everything feels a lot more stable So far i have been very impressed with this new app and looking foreward to future expansions and updates Keep up the good work PG Positive Grid just raised the bar for mobile guitar signal processing                 Expensive but worth the money
Liking                 Yay
Sounds great The ability to load new setups and amps from the Positive Grid cloud is a nice touch Im still awaiting enhancements to MIDI mapping of individual fx parameters eg Wah enable and a larger selection of effects particularly Wah pedals                 Top notch
The best sound quality was JamUp This app knocks it out of the park Easy to use and sounds ridiculously good                 Quite Amazing
No sound It makes noise the other half of the time I just gave them my money for the IAP too This company just ripped me off     Nothing but headache
Great app easy to use tons of great tones tweaking is quick so you can get back to playing Love the tone cloud This is a must have                 Get it
Ive used Jamup since it first came out This takes everything I loved about that and goes to eleven For those co planning about the price try buying hardware to do what this does Besides the dual amp signal path that Fractal and Kemper have made the deaf to standard approach to digital guitar processing theres so much quality in UI patch managementsharingmidi implementation inter app audio integration Seriously this app is without a peer in the mobile world and soon it will be fully cross platform In fact find a desktop app that does what this does and let me know I dont think there is one yet So keys 30 is a big jump from Jamup but so is the functionality and quality here I still love Jamup but weve moved from a great app to a very serious high end tool now Time will prove that this is going to be a classic tool a turning point in guitar processing that people will remember Highly recommended                 Stellar
Cant import amps from bias amp Crashes Cant create banks or download presets from cloud Worthless at the moment     Extremely buggy
Bias FX is brilliant                 Awesome sauce
This is by far the best guitar effects app for iPad coupled with the BIAS amp app the tonal possibilities are truly amazing I own most of the amp sims available and this is second to none and yes I own Jamup Pro with all the addons I still use Jamup for practicing since it has the ability to slow down any song in your music library                 Amazing product
I love the sounds I can get in Bias FX and love being able to bring in an amp that I built in Bias Amp However none of that does any good if I cant actually use Bias FX to play through live or for recording I have an iPad 4 and when I route FX to a recording app or have open multiple audio apps at the same time Bias FX starts popping like crazy Theres no way I can use this live with all the popping Even with nothing else open it starts popping if I use reverb and delay to create some ambient sounds If I could get my money back I would but Im hopeful that since this is a new app theyll eventually get it to work smoothly and not take up so much processing power that it constantly pops For now my advice is to switch to AmpKit or some other app        Not Good Enough Yet
Positive grid Did it again The possibilities are endless The sound is amazing                 Bias fx
IJUST DOWNLOAD THE NEW BIAS FX IN MY IPAD MINI BUT THIS UP IS NOT WORKING GOODI DONT KNOW WHAT WRONG BECAUSE BIAS UP WORKING GREATI THINK NEED TEST MORE THIS PRODUCTI WANT MY MONEY BACK        STUDIO MJB MIAMI
Realistically the BIAS FX modeler when coupled with Bias for iPad puts Positive Grids offerings on par if not better than some other dedicated amp FX devices As an app combined with BIAS it still cost less than my Line 6 Pod HD500 And it puts the capability of dual amp and fx circuits in an affordable package That capability was not even possible on any other iPad app Mobile Pod cant do that And it sure makes a good alternative platform for working tone into GarageBand Which then can be further refined with BIAS desktop in Logic Pro X What more can you ask for in an affordable package                 Better than other ampfx modelers
The new racks look great Looking forward to playing with the Echoplex later One problem According to the store I havent purchased the Tremolator yet it was one of the first effects I bought In fact it is in most of my effects rigs I do not wish to purchase again what I already have Please look into this Thanks I love this app and have been using it for studio and live shows              Th Best One problem since update
Says 30 off till July 6th its still the 5th but the price already went up what gives        Discount
This is the best app out for guitar effect simulation For the money you cannot complain And the sound is beyond amazing Love it Great job PG                 Awesome app
Awesome                 What more can you say
Awesome                 Awesome
Im sure its a great new addition to the bias family and I cant wait to get it working properly Anyone else have the problem with app not workingit all looks to be there and switching to bias while in bias fx works fine There is no red light from the output slider which helps control the volume and there is no activity with the tuner There was a question about allowing access to microphone at start up of app and I said nois it possible that is what is causing my lack of sound     No sound from ipad2
I completely erased my old review which was in version 10 an honest review of an app that had its kinks not yet worked out but that was amazing ear candy still to my senses not yet believing the quality I was hearing here But now with the update all I have to say is WOW Bias FX now blows all save my beloved Tonestack efx my other iPad guitar apps out of the water and whose stompboxes are all absolutely beautiful not only in sound but skeumorphism design particularly the dead on distortions and the depth of the modulation pedals OK they all sound great I have done head to head comparisons of all the pertinent mobile guitar apps through my monitors and the sound on Bias FX is even to the untrained ear superior to most especially in the High Quality of its sound engine Im seriously now considering using this as my go to app even to replace with it my desktop Logic app of Yore and all of my collected plugins Kudos Positive Grid on a mind blowing app Thankyouthankyouthankyou                 Erased older review
I tried a lot of amo and effects modeling apps on iPad and this is the best Ive tried It comes with a good variety of effects and amps Alsomy he integration with BIAS Amp is well done Use it with an iRig HD and it works flawlessly and sounds great Positive Grid support has been very responsive to my questions and a minor bug report even via Twitter                 Dig it
This is the best sounding of the stomp box category and i have all of them however the functionality is lacking compared to its competitors It must have the ability to crossfade between channel 1 and 2 on the effects chain using midi continuous controller otherwise there is little reason to have 2 channels It also must allow you to control the input and output values of interapp audio fx Those 2 things and this will be unstoppable but until then Im sticking with another           potential for greatness
After the update all is good Positive Grid created a High standard for themselves and everyone else I could have waited for the eventual discount prices that we all know will come I wanted to pay full this time show my support Im satisfied              Works great now
