When I saw the article in Scientific American that called this Shazam for bird calls I was extremely excited This is exactly what I was telling my friends was needed and doable I bought the app immediately but was disappointed to find that 1 It is only for birds of the British Isles 2 It only auto identifies 36 species When they get a bigger database I m all over this Right path not there yet Zoom2moon
This app works very well but the limited choice of birds makes it hard to find the one you re looking for The most common birds are not included cardinal Baltimore oriel song sparrow etc etc There needs to be an update so you can find that bird who s singing in your backyard Not enough choices Riesglass
