Nice but Im not at an arcade and no one is making quarters off this so why do I have to play predetermined levels Why no level options Just silly Cant imagine paying for the full version Also accurate control of tight rotations and moves is a problem     OK but
Well ok this version is so polished that its obviously not a straight port of the arcade machine ROMits better New options and the swipe control of the iPhone makes the moves much more intuitive than the original and it works flawlessly I fell in love with this game playing it with MAME and I cant believe Robb Y made it for our phones I love you dude If you loved Tetris and you have a mind for 3dimensional objects relationships this is a game for you This is my alltime favorite over every other Tetris style game and Ive played many                 Excellent port of an excellent game
I loved Blockout back in the day used to play it on a 286 It plays wonderfully on the Iphone too Two features Id like to see Volume control other than On or Off for the music The ability to set your own pit dimensions instead of having it be random              Really good game missing a few features
This is my second review of BlockOut Originally I gave this app a 4star rating citing the lack of animated backgrounds and some sound effects issues The new version 15 implements the features I asked for This takes me back to the days of arcades pumping quarters into the BlockOut machine and impressing my friends with my threedimensional cognitive skills Thanks a ton The short version Its an amazing port of a classic 3D tetrislike game Youll love it                 Now THATS customer service
Not that easy to drag or rotate for smaller dimensions sometimes your finger is on the piece and it cannot differentiate swipe from drag but in general game play is OK My problem is in app purchase limits this to be used in a single device     game is nice but in app purchase limits to one device
I am old enough to remember the original This does look and sound like the arcade game we played near the college campus The graphics and sound the BlockMasters face and voice all ring true Coupled with the natural movements afforded by the iPhone swipe tapetc it gives the player a cool blending of the old and new Personally I like the option to play my iTunes music during the game if I choose One future option might be to skip the interlude by the BlockMaster and continue to the next pit immediately I bought the full game and have really enjoyed the endless variety of challenge                 Accurate Recreation
but it is ok Please get rid of the flashing walls and that stupid face which cannot be turned off Please make it possible to set dimensions not only the shapes           This is not the original Blockout
The gamer is ok when you pay for it if for some reason you loose the application youll have to pay again even if you have a back up in your itunes They wont explain anything or try to help you           Ok
The game is ok with a small k Its the musack Its techno 24th century elevator tinny squeaky annoying Add that to the control problems makes this game a bit less in my book When flipping and flopping and shifting these shapes about there isnt any problem But when you want to move a shape one square towards the middle or to a side and then flip and flop it well thats tougher and the clocks against you Found myself pushing the auto drop button on the first level bunches The second not so many I guess placing a square peg in a square hole aint what it use to be But for for free its fun But for 99 cents get Mini Squadren its a shooters blast Sorry just finished Mini still thinking bout those wittle 40s cartoonish planes This game could be much better with better music and easier controls to move the shapes one square over ZOOOOMMMMM RAT A TAT TAT SWOOSH BOOOOMMMMM RAT A TAT TAT Sorry mind back on Mini Dave Dude King        DROPPING LEGOS DOWN ELEVATOR SHAFT
Im a huge blockout fan and this emulation is absolutely perfectbetter than the arcade version as the controls are so intuitive to touching One note Be prepared to really move your block around on the iPadit really wants to go to the extreme of the screen to be placed Well donemy favorite iPad app so far And its free What up with that                 Flawless Execution
Fantastic remake Really glad to see the classic music and I like the robo face AND the psychedelic backgrounds unlike some haters New music isnt bad either The swiping gameplay works surprisingly well Swipe quickly to turn or use two fingers to rotate double tap to drop slide firmly to move the piece Anybody who doesnt think this is intuitive enough has definitely never played the original game where you had to master six rotation buttons The new mechanic actually makes the game easier in a way The one thing I miss is the ability to slide a piece after it has dropped which is a pretty crucial technique for the complex shapes Maybe this is possible but I havent figured it out                 classic puzzle game
3D Tetris Fun game and the controls are intuitive and smooth I was able to figure out the rotations and flips without reading any instructions The graphics arent spectacular but maybe its suppose to be true to the original The demo gave me a good taste and made me want the full version I wouldve bought it if there were some more inviting graphics or a cheaper price for the old boring graphics        Solid game
I discovered this game online and was excited to see that there was an iPad version available After playing though I am disappointed that it is so difficult to drag pieces The swiping mechanic seems more intuitive on the iPad than it is on a computer However if you arent arent able to drag ie move the pieces then the game is not playable Such a shame because this game is addicting on the computer        Horrible controls
So much fun to play this again original soundtrack graphics all The only two features I miss from the original are 1 the levels disappearing at the end of level so you can see where the gaps are 2 the silly error messages that displayed in front of the computer adversary hee hee THANK YOU                 Near perfect recreation
