Blood Beach

This might be pretty fun on a PC with a game pad but I find the controls too difficult on the iTouch Its too difficult to steady a shot on the moving targets and trying to zoom in on a far away object coming at you while trying to steady the virtual joystick and then get shots off before having to zoom out because they are too close is too akward Then add the fact that the thompsons 30 rounds go in 2 seconds and you are trying to hit yet a 4th button to reload just gets too monotonous Slowing the acceleration of the joystick does help stready my shots but them moves too slowly to the next target If they could add an aid for dreading the shot while near a target and still be able to quickly move to the next target and maybe an optional auto reload feature then it would be a pretty good game Get the free version first I didnt see it until I went to write this review because I wish I had my 3 back        The controls need some work

As a fan of the classic arcade game I loved that someone made this for the iphone Its simple its fun and a good way to kill a few hours                 Fun

But often crash why           better than I thought

The tanks are wayyyyy to overpowered U can kill the battle ship with the same ammnt of dmage And does way to much damage                 Awsome But

This game is the best It has great graphics and the hardness of real life but the bad part about it it if you set the blood level to high when you hit one guy its like a fountain unrealistic but cool                 EPIC

Version 20 is horrendous Controls are awful and beyond mission 6 game is nearly impossible Also game continues to crash during missions Dont waste your money unless you enjoy being frustrated     Awful gameplay

It was OK not good or bad One reason is every time you advance more than three levels the app crashes You should only get this app is you have the pacience to run it more than twice an hour Overall FUN           Ehh

Wow and for a dollar I cant believe how accurately this game simulates warfare The sound effects are amazing I cant wait for more missions in the future Update The touch controls work best for me but the controls can be sticky sometimes The analog stick is pretty much unplayable But all in all the positives of this game outweigh the negatives Once you become use to the controls the game is pretty awesome More levels Update 2 The fire button and the reload buttons jam too often I dont know if this is part of the games programming or just really bad control designs There is also a drift with the finger controls that displaces your targeting at times The graphics and simulation is top notch The controls needs a little bit of work The zooming mechanism is fine Update 3 I am downgrading my review to 3 stars from 5 stars The controls continue to be difficult to play and drift too often in the touch mode The analog stick continues to be unplayable The reload and fire button freezes or jams too often for the amount of enemies a player must shoot down I still dont know if this is part of the simulation or another bug that needs to be fixed The program occassionally crashes on me and the app closes out This game has alot of potential but desperately needs an update to fix the multiple problems mentioned Update 4 I am downgrading my review from 3 stars to 2 stars because this app crashes too often The app just closes on its own and does it quite frequently Once again great potential app plagued by bad controls and frequent crashes The graphics and sound effects are top notch We desperately need a fix with a new update        Realism is incredible

430 Below is my original review Hung on to this game since Jan Update has not resolved any of the control issues This should use accelerometer controls Developer unresponsive Current control options still AWFUL Downgrading to 1 star This game looks almost like a direct copy of an old PC title called Operation Blockade by UbiSoft I wonder if these are the same developers its that close This is not a bad thingI LOVED that game Pros Good graphics Plenty of action My sadistic side loves the blood effects and screams of the dying enemies Plenty of great weapons to choose from Absolute mayhem Cons Controls are AWFUL Sorry developers This game Oper Block was made for mouse control None of the current control options virtual joystick analog pad touch controls feel natural Clunky and unresponsive Accelerometer aiming may be good for an update Also hand grenade aiming is an impossible pain in the butt Similar aiming as in Blockade would be better Really 212 stars if I could give it that Would LOVE to give this 5 stars with suggested updates     Potential

Fun game except that it crashes frequently It would also be nice if they would change the scenery on levels instead of always defending the same beach              Good

Despite a number of reboots its impossible for me to get through level 12 without the game shutting itself off On the plus side its a pretty darn fun game as youre working your way up to that point Unfortunately this major bug leaves almost half the levels totally inaccessible        Problems confirmed

UPDATE Im my previous review which you can read below this update I complained about the controls being dreadful Everything else about the game is awesome but the controls were so bad that you couldnt enjoy the game I would like to personally thank the Developers for releasing this update and implementing the BEST touch screen controls this side of Gameloft If anyone has played Gamelofts Terminator Salvation or Modern Combat Sandstorm then you will feel right at home here The touch screen controls now offer pinpoint accuracy and I can now say with all the Glee of a 6 year old on Christmas morning that This Game Is Awesome Totally disregard any reviews that complained about the controls because todays update has fixed everything Well done devs you have my gratitude Let me say this first if the developers were to fix these controls we would have an excellent shooter As it stands right now we have a big problem None of the control schemes work well The only one that comes close to working is using your finger to swipe around the screen to look The MASSIVE problem that arises from this scheme is that the camera resets itslef every time you touch it For example You are trying to get a good shot on a plane that is all the way to the right side of the screen You swipe your finger to the right but it doesnt go as far as you need it to so naturally you remove your finger and start from the left side of the screen and swipe to the right again Instead of the camera moving further to the right like it should it instead jumps to the left where you placed your finger essentially ruining your shot and throwing off your sense of balance This is an awful design decision You are never going to be able to look where you need to in just one swipe of the screen and taking your finger off to readjust the camera should not throw it out of whack like it does here We need a camera akin to Gamelofts FPS Sandstorm In that game the camera does not reset itself everytime you remove and reposition your finger If the Developers can fix this this will be an awesome action game The graphics sound and action are all top notch However the crucial controls are not put into place properly and we are left with a broken game And it really stinks to not be able to play it Its like being starving and having a nice juicy Hotdog directly infront of you but you cant get to it because it is locked in a cage                 Controls are FIXED

This is a great game very well balanced You have to use the right ammo on the right guys to get through the missions This is easy to pick up and play gradually ramps up which makes it challenging                 Instant classic

This is the best WWI WWII game ever This game has hard controles that take getting used to but has amazing picture The stuff men guns and anything elese is so detailed that they must have looked some of it up Way worth the money This is a must have              Blood beach

They obviously went thru alot of trouble to make it as realistic as possible for the iPhone screen I hope they put this game out for some other systems Wii please A little hard to get used to aiming at first but I gots tha hang of it Zooming skills are key                 great realism
