scan works fine extensive database scan is a little slow app runs slow after a while no sort by author option it would be a nice feature no read tickbox Good but has room for improvement

So I bought this app despite the bad reviews It freezes it takes to long to search for a book and when I scan a barcode the app shuts down I need my money back Poor performance

After reading the previous reviews I decided I was technical enough to figure out the bar code scanner even if a few others had problems Well the bar code scanner really doesnt work on the iPhone 3GS even in optimal lighting conditions with a perfect bar code Out of 30 tries I couldnt get a single one to work I gave up and downloaded Book Crawler instead which uses Pic2Shops scanner and I love it Id really suggest NOT even wasting the space Book Manager takes by downloading it Book Manager Scanning software really doesn

I find this works pretty well for my needs Most of my books are detected the first time when doing a bar code scan I also like the features for being able to say if a book has been loaned out or if I borrowed and if it has been returned Would like to see improved It takes quite a bit of time to load the camera for the barcode scan ability to export information option to have enabled an auto search and add when doing bar code scan Other than that it works well on my iPhone 4 Bookmanager 12

After using this app to record the first 45 books in my extensive home library I came up with a few points It would be nice if there were a simple delete button to rid inventory of books that were mistakenly entered or you no longer own I appreciate the option to take photos of book covers that are not in the system So far only vintage books have not been in system I like the scanning option but it is sometimes difficult to get a clear focus within the first few seconds which is a lot of time when enterig hundreds of books Review of home library use

This app is horrible It is a waste of money and I want my money back It takes forever to scan and does not recognize any books Dont buy

One of the primary reasons I bought the iPad was to inventory my extensive library This app is practically useless as a time saver It will not scan books Each isbn has to be manually entered There is no practical instructions on how to scan with the iPad Dont waste your money until the developer offers more info on the scanning procedure Book manager
