Okay Im impressed I bought this about 15 minutes ago and quickly and accurately scanned about 41 books In low light conditions the application automatically turned on the iPhone flashlight to illuminate the screen One book came back with the title in Japanese but otherwise accurate for cover and category The editing function meant that small edits were quite easy Adding in my dropbox account took all of about 10 seconds and I immediately did a backup of my data Its not CSV format but a binary SQL format But wait It exports a CSV file to my dropbox or lets me email it Or print it Wow This is pretty cool NICE APPLICATION This is going to be great                 Im impressed

I love my book buddy app As an book collector I no longer worry about buying doubles When friends borrow my books I know exactly where they are and Within seconds I can tell exacty what I have and dont have Makes my hobby so much more enjoyable                 Book collectors best friend

I have hundreds of books and have read hundreds more and its great to have them all at your fingertips with the proper cover and all details Better than good reads and more ways to personalize I recommend to anyone who loves books and reading Its fun Keep it backed up just in case and you will never lose your data base o books Thanks                 The best book app out there

I like this app but there are definitely a few bugs There are certain buttons that have no labels You just have to click it to see what it does           Few bugs no labels

I have 5 books on queue to read Thought Id give this app a chance so when I was at the bookstore I would have a record of what I have and what Ive already read Scanned all 5 books Only one match Worthless to me     20 Success

I have downloaded nearly every book catalog app out there This one is my favorite It is clean and runs well with few bugs It doesnt include so much info that what you want to know is lost I like the customizing options A few things would make it 5stars 1 The ability to set a book goal and keep track of how many books read 2 Different views so we could just see covers or just text wout covers 3 More ability to customize and add our own tracking info in custom fields I recommend the app for anyone who wants to keep track of their finished books and their TBR pile              It Works for Me

Nearly all of my books were added simply by scanning the barcode I was pleasantly surprised by how many older books were in their database So fast and easy to manage your book collection Highly recommended                 Love this app Works perfectly

After trying several apps to manage my home library I came across Book Buddy Wonderful app You can scan barcodes or do an online search which doesnt work great as its database seems not up to date or add books manually The search function works great One can also create tags and search by tag Another good feature is being able to add a location for a book It would be nice if the search online function worked a little better I also would have liked to be able to create multiple libraries              Best home library app

I have found this to be a very useful app for keeping up with and organizing my new books I now have well over 200 books listed It is easy to add titles find a work revise or reorder the list back it up etc highly recommended                 Superb App

My previous version of BookBuddy stopped opening and I figured I had lost the well over six hundred books I manually inputted with notes I emailed Kimicoapps support and after some back and forth emails they found out it wasnt due to the latest update I thought they would say sorry not our problem but they didnt Not only did they respond immediately to my emails asking for information several times during the day for a week but they worked tirelessly to get my ENTIRE COLLECTION BACK It wasnt easy but they didnt give up and walked me through all the steps Thanks from the bottom of my heart for your excellent outstanding service                 BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

It is awesome I have almost 1800 books logged in the year since I started I used to carry around index cards by author This allows me to put in comments and back up in Dropbox Dont tell but Id pay for this app                 I am a book addict and I LOVE this App

Ive been testing out all of the iOS book inventory apps this is really the best Its easy sleek clean and its actually fun to use I would love a desktop version the ability to import my large ebook collections from Amazon iBooks Would be cool if Goodreads was integrated too                 Love This App

My previous list of books wouldnt come across to a new phone so I had to have a new app I tried three even one that was not free and was NOT happy with any of them THIS one does what I want and is easy to use besides                 Good App

I must say the scanning ability is great Its a very userfriendly app on the phone itself My issue is that Id like to have the app on my desktop instead of being forced to export a cvs file This is a huge downfall to an otherwise beautiful application           So far pretty good

So far so good Having only 88 books looked for my preschool the app seems to be helpful Wish more books would come up through scanning the USB and that I could type in the ISBN to retrieve the info however the ability to just speak in the title and author has made it a little less painful I have only a couple thousand books to go so we will see if it crashes on me like a totally different app did              Like it so far

I bought this app in order to enter in books from my home library that I want to remember but get rid of I have stacks of books to enter at least 100 or so I bought this app specifically because it can scan bar codes So far Ive tried 7 or 8 books and NONE of them are found I have had to enter each one by online search This is ridiculous and a rip off Not what I expected at all     Doesnt scan bar codes

This app is a great though not remotely unique idea It has a clean simple interface Unfortunately it is lacking many features that are necessary to make it useful for most users For a paid app I would expect regular addition of such features First there ought to be a way to import purchases from online store like amazon accounts all at once The only way to add ebooks that you own is to search individually online Further you should be able to sort books in a wide variety of ways author last name title topic genre which means you should be able to add tags or keywords to entries It would also be good to be able to somehow sync your goodreads andor librarything andor shelfari accounts it should be able to allow you to note how many copies of a particular book are in your library and what formats they are in For example there are a few books which I own in hard cover multiple paperback copies mobi ePub and PDF There are a lot more features that could be useful but I think that these features are absolutely essential for the pro app        good idea needs features

Update 10172014 Please add iPad support and a barcode scanner for usercreated barcodes not ISBN to loan books Thanks Original review 6252014 The app is great for personal library management I really wish it had shared library functionality as well For instance User As device should indicate if a book is being read by User B added to the library by User B or loaned out by User B to a third party And changes made to a title on User As device should sync with User Bs device I hope this functionality gets added in the future One important feature that is lacking is library statistics Theres currently no way to know the total number of authors or the number of books in each genre or the absolute number of books in the library the app only displays total unique titles excluding duplicates unless you physically count them The app performs well in what it does and is very smooth Ive never experienced any lag while using it which is great The only problem I noticed is that it crashes when you take a snapshot of the book while having other apps running in the background But if you clear the cache and close other apps the problem disappears Hope this gets fixed soon              Fine App but lacks some key features

Loved the free version Ran out of space so I upgraded to the full version n none of my books transferred over For 5 Bux u think theyd automatically be there But no Now I have to re enter them all again Totally lame If Ida known I wouldnt have spent the 5 bux     Meh

It makes cataloging my books so easy and accessible The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because some when you scan the correct cover pops up but the wrong book and author appear Also some major authors wont scan at all However its pretty easy to use the google feature to look up any that dont scan I love the features like if you read it ratings and of course scanning ISBNs when they work I recommend this app to others              Love it

For the most part I found this app well thought through The data fields are comprehensive and easy to populate I have a somewhat limited specialty library consisting of around 200 volumes My editions cover a span of about 70 years Using the search online feature I would guess that I ended up using pilfered data from Amcom in around 15 of my collection NOTE I used various different data searches but the result was the same But I easily located the correct information and each volume only required about three minutes once I got rolling For the first time I was able to create as many categories as I wished I made 16 for my small collection and locating a book is fast and easy The one enhancement that is badly needed in my opinion is the ability to send a populated listing directly to the wish list In short if you create a listing in either place you are not able to send them between the two I ended up just creating a category titled wish list and sent those listings there The only problem with that is that when searching through your master inventory those titles are now part of the mix I added a notation to each wish list book in the notes field to distinguish from those I actually own The Dropbox backup feature works flawlessly and quickly My books create a file of about 14mb and takes one minute to backup anew I already had need of it when my toddler deleted the app while drumming on my pad What a relief to haveand especially comforting that the backup is separate from my iOS backup through Dropbox I reloaded the app and the app automatically recognized my device and allowed for a quick one button restoration without any signin or passwords required One less password in my life is much appreciated In a strange way this app mentally gives license to buy many more volumes I doubt I will ever have the formal mahogany paneled library of my dreams But at least with BookBuddy I can use bookcases in every room of our home and still keep track of location as well as tracking our sticky fingered guests that make use of my loan program Happy Reading           A Little More Work Is Needed

I have been trying to find a really good app for my books for a very long time I have tried pretty much every app like this I could find and this one is prefect It has everything I have ever wanted I can sort books by series what I have read what I want to read rate them make notes and sort them into categories Plus it is extremely user friendly I absolutely love it It is well worth it Anyone who wants an app to help catalog and manage your book collect or just keep track of what you want to or have read this is the best app I have ever found                 Amazing Best App I Have

Lots if good features such as being able to create your own folders to categorize books Only issue is that it will sometimes lag when attempting to scan books When this happens your only option is to close the app and reopen Majority of books were able to be scanned What couldnt be scanned were usually able to be found by searching online Out of the 1100 books that I have already entered only a handful of books had to be entered completely manually For the most part I am happy with the purchase              Pretty good

My husband and I are legit book junkies Once in a while we forget if we own a book already in our queue or dont know if the other had purchased it We have plenty of doubles and this app definitely helps to eliminate it We also leave notes to each other about how we liked the book or what to look out for Whenever he loans out a book I dont have to go crazy looking for it Theres options to import and export lists and I love how you can simply scan the isbn instead of manually documenting every little thing                 Love this app

This app is perfect for what I need without being overly complicated I needed a way to keep track of books I had already boughtread to avoid buying multiple copies Entering books is quick and easy and several methods of entry are available ISBN numbers can be scanned or title author and other info can be entered manually such as for ebooks If you lend books to others that can also be tracked Definitely worth the modest cost                 Book Buddy

Im excited to use this app I tried another and it was toast The free version lets you add about 50 books so get the Pro if you have more books than that Also make sure you upgrade within the app I didnt I had to backup to Dropbox on the free version then restore in Pro Not really a big deal so no stars removed                 Works as advertised

I really like the features available in this app thus far For a collector like my self it can get a little awkward adding a book multiple times I have different formats of the same title or a signed edition and the app looks at me with a funky expression and goes Did you really mean And then I have to manually insert the field As if the ISBN was not specific enough That little awkwardness aside this is a very smooth asset to any bibliophile              Worthy

A great app but not recommend for classroom libraries because of inability to sort by letter level or Lexile        Needs Levels and Lexile Sort

Been using this app for a long time and its a lifesaver for cataloging my audiobooks I use it to keep track of all my read and unread books and the Wish List is great for searching my local public library for authors and for also finding what I have and dont have The feature of searching the web for book reviews is just great The ability to backup and restore enables me to keep my iPad and iPhone in sync is also a marvelous feature I hope that someday the developer will introduce an iPad version but the iPhone version works just fine on my iPad                 Love This App

First and foremost this app is a huge battery sucker for large projects more than 20 books since 20 killed a full quarter of my battery make sure your charger is handy Im also disappointed that more than a third of the books Ive scanned do not come up The search is too limited R L Stine has over 100 books but the search yields 10 and there are fewer categories than I would expect How hard is it to have a mystery or romance genre pop up when the book scanned says as much on its spine I guess for five dollars I expected too much I had hoped to make cataloging my extensive collection easier and instead Im spending the same amount of time I would have if I had stuck with my Excel spread sheet           Disappointed

I really appreciate having this app I now easily keep track of our books and workbooks without having to create a cumbersome database                 Great book organizer

This app is exactly what my girlfriend and I have been looking for It helps us keep ALL of our books in order and helps so we dont buy duplicates I love the details you can set up for each book and that you can rate each book It makes it a lot easier to give book recommendations The only thing I dont like is that it doesnt automatically put the books in the series category if they are a series Other then that this app is perfection                 Love this app

This little gem works very well on my iPhone and has helped me catalog and sort out my library quickly and easily The scanner works very well indeed and I have had to manually enter less than 2 of the hundreds of books I have entered thus far Im very pleased with it especially when you consider the price                 Perfect app for my needs

I really like having this app on my iPhone It is so handy to have the list of books I have and mark which ones Ive read Very nice to have the scanner as part of the app and also the camera access so handy for the few books that arent scannable We like to go to our library book sales and other places where we purchase the used books we read                 Great app for me

I love this app Im an avid reader a lot of the stuff I read are books that are part of a series This app not only keeps everything in check you can also organize by series so I know exactly which Ive read where to pick up if its been awhile or even to see if the author has added to the series Perfect organizational tool                 Exactly what I need

This is a great app for managing your book library You can sort many different ways easily scan barcodes and instantly have all book info including cover art in your database You can also record when you lend a book and to whom and then sort to see only those books that are loaned out Also able to record series and volume information for books in series Best of all they have Fantastic support I emailed a support request on a Sunday night and received my answer first thing Monday morning Support worked with me to import a book file from a program they dont support Helped me import in just a few minutes Best service EVER from an app company                 Great App Love it

Ive tried almost every personal library app out there to keep track of what books I have back home and what I have at my school None have the functionality that book buddy has All perks aside I am just thrilled that this app doesnt crash like many others I love the different organizing options especially the series page The only change I would like to see is the ability to download the cover art from the internet instead of having to take a picture Minor detail in a wonderful product              Love this app It has almost everything

I love love love this app It keeps everything organized and the sorting options are helpful For me the personalprofessional option isnt important A couple suggestions make it only 199 499 is very expensive Also when searching online to add books it would be nice to show more then ten book titles at a time Authors like Dean Koontz Mary Higgins Clark etc take a lot of time to add all their books because it only lists a few books at a time and you have to keep researching Overall great app I have already recommended it to friends and family and they have downloaded              Great but expensive

I am pleased with this app so far I like the ability to backup to Dropbox it is one feature that sold me on the app The scanner is pretty easy to use The manual search is also quick when the scanner doesnt recognize a book I would like to see a reading level field I contacted the developer and they said it is in the works              Happy so far
