Capo Touch along with it Mac brother Capo 3 are an incredible music application Both applications are chord recognition applications which allow you to load music from iTunes and return the chords that are recognized by Capo Although not all the chords return with 100 accuracy the majority of chords are or have a slight different voicing Capo also will give suggested potential chords and voicing selected from a drop down menu Capo Touch and Capo 3 have many other features such as pitch tempo capo placement and many others One amazing feature is that all your songs in your project are stored in the Cloud so they can be shared and synchronized with all of your Mac or iOS devices The developers are excellent at taking users suggestions and incorporating ideas from the users A must have application George P                 Amazing Music Ap

Seriously I cant believe they managed to make this app work on a phone Literally impossible on the computers I worked with in college and now it lives on my phone Welcome to the future I play along with songs at home on my iMac and then drop out the vocals on my phone and sing along while I drive Awesome                 Best app for learning songs

I was very excited to get the app and learn some new songs but the app let me down Itll give you strange chords that are not needed and the timing seems to be off on switches Its good enough to play a song for fun but if you plan on actually playing for people I wouldnt recommend it There are better recourses online        Eh

This is really nice The only issue I have is its not very good at detecting the chords in the song When it detects the chords it always brings up the hardest chords to play It should bring up the easiest And it should automatically pick the easiest tuning or if its capoed it should say where its capoed at and switch to capoed automatically              Nicely done

Every song I attempt to transcribe is grossly incorrect Ive tried five songs and each time there are multiple inconsistencies and errors It would be a fantastic app if it actually work     I wish so badly that this app worked the way it should

Am I the only one I find this app doesnt really do what it is set to doto figure out chords of songs I have tested it against generic blues progressions 4 bars of C 2 bars of F 2 bars of C 2 bars of G7 2 bars C and the app doesnt know what is going on Even a basic jazz standard and the app seems to not understand the progression It has never shown the accurate tempo either in any song It may give a ballpark of the key and attempt to give chords but I am disappointed 5 burn On the plus side you can mute out the main melody for most tracks which is actually quite cool but that isnt what I wanted I thought this app was about figuring out chords tempos to songs        Disappointed

App need quite a bit of work to be able to accurately do what it is described to do But I love the idea Hopefully they can get the bugs worked out soon        Great Idea Poor Execution

The slow down and pitch shift features are great The voice reduction is nice but limited tremendously by the recording quality and amount of vocal reverbdelay Also the chord guessing feature is only sometimes nearly correct The worst thing about the app is that the entire build in chord library is wrong All of the chords are written into the diagrams incorrectly This would be a great app for beginner except that its teaching everything incorrectly Im almost thinking that the app was geared towards guitarists but made by someone who doesnt play much guitar        Great but not worth the cost

Cannot load any songs from my phone iTunes or otherwise Requires a subscription to a website Would have been nice if they WARNED us first before shelling out 10     Cannot load songs from iTunes library

If all youre looking to do is figure out the chords to a song this probably is not the app for you The algorithm while very good its not perfect and you wont get the exact chords every single time The developer acknowledges thisWhere this app shines is the ability to help advanced guitar players learn extremely difficult songs quickly It instantly give you the tempo and the key to any song which in and of itself is very cool What makes this a musthave is being able to slow down very fast riffs and isolate the guitar If you want to learn Cliffs of Dover this will help you do it If youre not at that level youll probably to be disappointed                 Better for Advanced Players

This app is a great discovery It allows you to quickly sort out new songs or chart your old ones if you need to teach them to someone else Just load an mp3 and the chord detection lays out the song for you If you need to slow it down to figure out the nuances just grab the slider and move it to the left and theres no noticeable loss of sound quality In this way you can really get a handle on what you need to play to make the track work I will be getting a lot of usage out of this Very cool                 Great Find

On some songs it gets the chords right but in the wrong positions Others it is not even close Oh in one song I put a capo on 5th fret and changes the sound of the song But I know it is right Pls fix and I will give it 5 stars Thanks           It is alright

I love Capo It makes it way more easier and fun to learn to play songs that I love I can get the main chords and jam out                 Great App For Me

As a guitarist this app has been fantastic I play a lot of music that is far out of the mainstream indie bluegrass gospel and Capo Touch allows me to find odd chords and progressions that Im unfamiliar with The full range of capabilities of the app is much more than I personally use very often but Im thrilled with the ability to analyze my favorite songs in order to play them just like they were written                 Incredible app

cannot load songs from Apple Music     please fix for those with Apple Music

Would be a solid free app but needs much improvement to be paid BPMtempo detection is consistently incorrect AND you are not able to edit Capos whack calculation Doesnt seem to matter which genre the song is So if it reports a song is 90 BPM but its actually 120 the bars will be completely off Chord detection and the song key are not accurate even on simple songs Will improve rating if improved but would not recommend to anyone currently Youll be much better off putting in the time to learn to detect all this with your ear and brain        Song key chord and tempo calculations about 30 accurate

I am disappointed in this version of Capo I do not find it intuitive at all A lot of features on the previous version are lost An instruction manual would be helpful     Capo Touch

Im very much an amateur guitar player so Im pretty easy to impress That said I think this app is magic Not every chord sounds exactly right but it gets me into the ballpark where I can find a better alternative easily Its value to me is one or two orders of magnitude higher than the price I paid                 Seems Like Magic to Me

I purchased Capo Touch for my iPhone Plus and I love it I am using this for my own composing and performance and also for my clients and students This saves so much time in my sessions the chords are quickly available so we can spend necessary time working on technique writing and performance I wish I had this years ago but am so glad I have this now I highly recommend Capo Touch for all professional musicians and students it will save so much time so you can focus on skills technique artistry and creativity                 Love Capo Touch

As a music teacher his app has been extremely useful The main feature Ive appreciated is the ability for the app to change the key of a song without changing the tempo I use this feature for my classes to play along to songs they know and love when the song is in a difficult key for the instruments were using For example if the original recording of a song is in C the Capo app can adjust it down a half step to C and instantly easier for my students to play along to the song on steel pans marimbas guitars keyboards xylophones etc The key adjustment feature is also be extremely useful for singing groups The other useful feature is the ability to loop any section of a song which comes in handy for rehearsing sections of songs You can also slow looped sections down without the keypitches changing so you andor your students can slow a difficult section down to reverse it and slowly increase the tempo until they can play it up to speed Youre also able to label the verse chorus and bridge of a song for looping andor just knowing which section is which Just AWESOME features that have instantly made lessons better and my students more successful The kids also really enjoy being able to play along to the songs as theyre learning their parts I give the app 4 stars because Ive found the chord and beat detection features to be unreliable I pretty much ignore those aspects of the app But the other features I mentioned above are perfect for use in my classroom Thank you Capo              Very useful in music classroom

But when I try to play back audio it just stutters and plays back at 110 speed The first song I started it played back fine and everything since then has played back screwed up Ive tried everything and theres no way to fix it The other big problem I have with the app is when you first open it it asks you if you want to get your songs from the cloud or locallyI chose the cloud and theres no way to switch back to local to see if that might be the issue I HATE paying my hard earned money to be a beta tester for these companiesmy my time is worth a fair amount of moneyI bought it because of the rave reviews it got from other prosI guess they got a copy that workedor were paid to give it such high praise For now I have another unusable music app taking up space on my iPad I give it two stars because its a great idea and will be very useful once it worksbut for now its useless        Great idea

Not compatible with Apple Music     Broken

So bad it should be required to display the disclaimer The chord detection in this app is intended for entertainment purposes only I have used it with extremely simple recordings of open chords 5ths power chords major and minor triads made on a single electric guitar into a preamp on clean and from there by balanced 14 TRS into a Thunderbolt audio interface recorded to a single channel track in Logic Pro X and exported as ALAC to iTunes Then brought into this app which like its predecessor of the same name can only slow down or speed up tracks it cannot detect chords I say this because it got none of the chords correct in any of my numerous trials It also gets the key wrong most of the time BPM is frequently wrong as well     So bad

The update has improved the app significantly from the original iteration but certainly not worth being paid for again Loading times are absurd I understand why but it took out the simplicity of the app Perhaps Ill be more satisfied when the iPhone 6 comes out Until then 3 stars           Meh

I love this app There are however two areas I would like to see enhanced Please add a rewind to beginning button and a chord finding sensitivity control The app tends to populate the screen with too many chords I am looking forward to future updates and improvements And 10 is not too much to pay for this amazing tool              Astounding

Its a little buggy on my 4S but I like it otherwise Ive used the desktop version for a while and I like being able to access my saved files from iCloud Nice slowdown feature too It would be a 4star review if it didnt crash to much           Would be better if it didnt crash

I chose the option to use songs that are stored locally on my device rather that using iTunes Match Not ONE single song shows up in my library and the UI is so clumsy I cant figure out how to search Developer website is even worse not one single topic dealing with this issue Save your money until they get to their very long TO DO list of updates their own words     Zero stars if I could

The app doesnt let me listen through my bluetooth What the heck Everythign else on my phone sees my bluetooth headset but this app

Most of the music I play is in my Ultimate Guitar account I would love to be able to import from it Do you see that possibly happening down the line Or am I forever married to my iTunes account purchases with this app I couldnt leave this as feedback because while I could enter my email and password it wouldnt advance to the text section Just an FYI           Please let me import

My old version of Capo stopped working it just kept crashing Im going to assume it was because of this new version I would say old Capo was my absolute favorite app of all time Ive been using it for several years I loved how easy it was to identify sections of songs repeat skip to the next section of song I wanted to work on I am no at all a fan of this new version Aside from it is clunky and doesnt upload songs consistently and sticks constantly Much of the functionality I used to love is gone Bookmarks was way way better than regions or whatever it is called skipping to the next section of bookmarks was a breeze Tempo changes and repeating a section was easier way way too much need for scrolling around If you didnt shut off the old app that I happily paid I think 20 bucks for Id have tried this one out and just said meh I dont need the functionality but to take away such a great app and remove many of the best features is just disappointing Id happily pay more money to get the old Capo back on my phone     Wow what happened to your great app

Capo is a fantastic tool for both seasoned musicians and beginners Im just starting out and its been instrumental in teaching me how to play acoustic songs                 Love this App

Capo is pretty awesome and I use it a ton Whenever Im stumped on figuring out a song I use Capo to find the chords You can even change the key of the song                 Capo is awesome

The best feature of this app is the audio qualitybut its down hill from there Loops have to be locked to a beat which blows It really needs the ability to scrub to startstop points Chord detection is useless please add the option to turn this off Rhythm detection is better with the latest update At least now you can adjust it to correct the beat placement so thanks for that The other stuff needs work        Needs a more flexible looping feature

I used to love Capo I have used it in various versions I use the desktop and the iOS versions The Touch release is just a money grab for a new and inferior interface It is too many steps backwards for too few improvements The worst part is that the developer acknowledges these shortcomings but released it anyway There is no way to move forward or backward in song beyond scrolling manually That was a feature in prior versions It doesnt respect the volume settings I cant even begin to explain how dumb that decision was Someone needs to sit down with the team and explain to them that usability matters beyond gee whiz features I hope that the next upgrade restores vital functionality     Beyond Disappointment

This app is NOT what it sells itself as I cant learn songs from it It doesnt guess chords correctly at all it puts chords in random places not on the chord changes maybe the beat but not all beats the iOS version is not able to display notes only chords I dont think there was anything useful besides the song slowdown feature It also cant play through Bluetooth I cant even give it 2 stars and I dont want to try the Mac version either     Horrible at guessing

I dont understand why this interface feels strange to some I find it very easy to use The capabilities of Capo are simply beyond belief It really works as advertised and does the looping tempo and transposition all in real time and simultaneously It really is futuristic Its almost a reason to buy a iOS device all on its own                 Feels like the future

The theory of this app is fantastic However it fails to show decent chords that match up with the songs with even the most simple pieces Im thoroughly disappointed with this and would appreciate a refund     Good in theory but very poor accuracy

Not quite what I expected I tested Capo on a three or four songs and it consistently makes mistakes on basic chords It cannot seem to identify a simple chord and has a penchant for adding minor or major 7ths That said it does save some time but I still have to make a thorough and time consuming pass at least once through a song to make corrections Also the controls are not quite as intuitive as Id hoped Took me a bit to figure out how to correct a chord that the app absolutely could not recognize like an Am for a D A good start but needs some work Ill be happy to improve my rating with improvements to the app        Needs work

Hey Im a worship leader and I play a number of instruments I think your app is great but I think it could be even better Right now your app is mainly geared towards rhythm guitarists or people just playing for fun which is great I think if you added a feature for lead guitarists that would let you switch from chords to notes it would be awesome Maybe add something for drummers and bass players to that would really make this app awesome if I could use it to teach my whole band a new song on the fly           Possible improvements
