Helpful clearly organized simple app which mainly serves up the always excellent road testing and reviews by Consumer Reports                 Excellent

My mistake I guess to assume that this app would give me access to their used car research If I had read the description closer I wouldnt have wasted 3 on an app I didnt need     What no used cars

Use it for everything I buy                 Great app

If they are currently testing a vehicle which was the case for a few different cars I was looking for there are no ratings whatsoever Even for the previous year model They also have zero information for any other model then current year This app is worthless to me and would rather use the website What a waste     No information at all for some cars

Wow what a disappointment The app I just downloaded doesnt even look like the screenshots and what good is it with no used car information Thats one of the main reasons weve subscribed for over thirty years Dont bother with this one     Poor usability no used car information

Well organized thorough replacement for printed guides Each review is sprinkled with a short video and photos of the models interior and exterior Ratings include an abundance of data including crash tests              Clean Direct To the Point

This app isnt free at all If the app 2 instead given the first month then more people would probably want it Otherwise it requires a monthly payment I would get the magazine           Not actually free

The content on the app is good and its a good quick resource However the website with full access has much more information that is worth while to pay for if you are buying a new car              Website is better

This app is real shady It tricks you into giving your phone number and gives your contact information to every dealership in your state This is the only place I entered my phone number while searching for a car thinking CR is safe and will be responsible with my info Wrong Now I am getting constant sales calls from everywhere I live in Northern California and Southern California dealers keep calling I am so mad at Consumer Reports     A new low for Consumer Reports

Im looking for a used car so this app is no help     No used cars

I recommend this app for anyone looking for a car While I would not use the calculator as written in stone Knowing the ballpark of what it should cost me for what I am getting is extremely helpful The videos are just sometimes fun to watch Check out the Bmw 3 series videos I wish there was an app to see more of those awesome people on the track every day Making sure we are not taken for a ride by the dealer Love you guys                 I consumer reports

I agree with other comments that the app lacks the useful features from the CR Cars section of consumerreportsorg such as sidebyside model comparisons and a subset of their online car data For example the cargo space is NA for all models Ive checked Its navigation is also a bit kludgy That said it may be useful to have when walking around say an auto show and inspecting cars Having the videos in one place is nice too           No substitute for consumerreportsorg

Now its 1 now its 3 per month I like very much the idea and the philosophy of CR however this app is a shame It says that my subscription expires in 11 days and yet I cant see any ratings anymore Automatic subscription has been cancelled as the price increased from 1 to 3 per month and Im happy that Apple canceled that As for the content I do like those road test videos and the independent buying of those vehicles Just a little more transparency and better app implementation would be in order           Now you see it now you dont

Insanely ironic that a socalled consumer protection watchdog magazine would pull the old baitandswitch The App is technically free I saw an ingame ad for it but requires a 299 per month subscription to their magazine to log in and get past the first screen Talk about a ripoff I thought Consumer Reports was supposed to help consumers not mislead us And dont give me this well we only list it as free so our readers can get it from the iTunes Store nonsense I saw it ADVERTISED in a game as free That is misleading at best Im wondering what Consumer Reports reaction would be if I requested a refund of my cellular carriers data charges for downloading their worthless app     NOT FREE Totally Misleading

This app is useful if youre buying a new car that hasnt been redesigned for a while Otherwise its worthless The only info provided is for brand new cars and only for cars with lots of survey responses        Zero used car info

Really handy when searching for your next car I just hope they optimize the app on iPhone 66           Must Have App

This app is very thorough and just about all you need to kickstart your car buying journey The reviews are detailed nonbias and the loan calculator is super helpful and easy to use CRs standard ranking system is a big plus to get a quick read on the pros cons of each car My only negative would be the lack of photosvideos only about 1012 per but the Edmundscom app became my perfect compliment to this CR app and has a lot more imagesvideos of documenting the extensive color and interior vehicle model variations Plus it was good to get reviews and perspectives from another reputable POV Highly recommend this Consumer Reports app and it helped me a lot on my recent purchase                 Helped tremendously
