I ve watched lots of Kelley s videos on YouTube and decided to buy this and 2 other of his apps so I could access the content offline during a long international flight I was very satisfied with much of the video content in each app just like his YouTube videos Kelley brings a precision to his explanations of the opening that particularly appeals to me Despite the great content a few annoyances knocked off 2 stars from my rating One the depth of analysis of the video content seemed to trail off later in the app While the explanations of the first 11 moves of the opening were packed with alternate lines by both sides and strategic ideas behind the opening the later video segments for the chapters dealing with Black s choice of 11th move were a mere here is the move some lines are given in the training segment with little other defense of these lines It s one thing to memorize a few lines given by Stockfish Houdini and another to understand why White has an edge in a particular position and I think the later videos tend towards the former For example I m not 100 sure I firmly understand when White should trade the dark bishop on e7 or f6 and when White shouldn t Two there are lots of typos and undefended claims to advantage and good moves in the written analysis of the lines in training mode For a paid app it seems fair to expect polish so that these typos missing analysis don t exist Three some mention was given to the fact that the Carlsbad position can arise from many move orders yet most of the training segments force the user to play an arbitrary order of Qc2 Bd3 Nf3 which seems inconsistent It s even more annoying that the expected order changes across the different training segments Lastly but maybe most importantly for me the training segments should include lines where Black makes a common mistake blunder In tournament blitz play Black will often do so and it should be a point of studying the opening to be sure White knows how to play punish For example some lines with 4 Nxd5 5 e4 or an early Bf4 or 10 Ne4 without c6 etc Overall a great app with excellent content and worth the money in my opinion However I think some polishing of the above points would go a long way             Great content and presentation jvenezuela716

If I had one complaint it would be that Mr Kelley has only two such detailed apps delving into specific openings both related to QGD His organizational skills only add to the strength of how he presents the material please do more Sir                     Excellent Presentation First John
