All I get is the CBC News main screen I deleted the app and reloaded same thing Its pretty much useless     What happened

I used to be able to listen to the news while walking my dog in the USA now this app is useless to me without     Where did my listen functionality go

All I get after the last 2 updates is the CBC logo and then a black screen on my iPod touch Does the app work for anyone     Doesnt work at all

This App has not worked for a cpl of months at least It does not open on iPhone 5 Shuts down immediately I used to look at it daily Ive been waiting for a fix but nothing so far     DOES NOT WORK

I had the crash problem as well Found out that deleting the app and reloading solves it It works fine and is a very worthwhile app              Crash solution easy

Why doesnt Facebook sharing work the same standard way that EVERY OTHER NEWS APP does Why does sharing an article result in a photo being added to my gallery with the story and link as a caption Thats a bizarre choice And why doesnt the action menu have an Open in Safari option like EVERY OTHER NEWS APP does Bizarre           Sharing is kludgey

No idea why but this app has gotten worse I am on an iPhone 5 so maybe that has something to do with it But it wont even open for me now Including after removal and reinstall     Very crashy

Since I upgraded to the latest iOS and the latest version of this app I cannot use the app anymore Rather than having the top few stories on the home page of the sections you want national your area etc now they have just one and you have to dig into the menus to get a next region or type of news Having at a glance view of the top stories was good and now it is more of a hassle to get it That coupled with the fact that more than 75 of the images and text of the story links do not show up I see maybe 4 or 5 letters usually 2 letters on top and the rest under it and nothing else I have to open every link to know what the story is about The links areas for the story summary a are nearly all blank Might as well use the website for all the good this app is     Terrible update

This app is nonfunctional Does not work on a BrandNew iPod touch 5thGen right out of the box running iOS 71 App opens up to a Black Screen only Apparently I am far from the only person with this prob     BLACK SCREEN ONLY

The most recent update produces a layout which feels like a thin wrapper around around the web site There were two CBC News header bars It even prompted me to install a web bookmark to the site On a later run though it seemed better           Not that good

Used to be better CTV app is way better to use Like CBC news but app is terrible now     Was better

Cbc news has a very readable format its content mix is good but after I reinstalled it this week it crashes about every fifth time I touch a link to an article My iPad did this maybe six months ago with this app then settled down with very few crashesspinning wheels I uninstalled it a few weeks back along with other apps in a clean up Took only two days for withdrawal symptoms so reinstalled from the app store today only to find it crashing freezing as I go to stories Please FIX THIS It is unusable as it is        Crash king of the apps

As A Canadian living abroad having the CBC news app is something that keeps people connected to our home country The app was perfectly fine prior to the progress that has ensued since iOS8 Subsequent to these improvements your app now freezes jams is unable to play videos at the most inopportune times as well as jamming up the entire system We abroad who use the CBC is an anchor to our country are looking forward to seeing real improvements or perhaps just bring it back to the way it was a few months ago Many thanks from a Canadian abroad     Progress

When ever i open notifications or control center it automatically goes back to the main screen of the app and refreshes it So i have to go back to the article that i was reading           Bug

Since the recent update crashes on launch even from a cold start with the app having been fully exited beforehand Reinstalling didnt work Also a recurrent problem is the fact that a newscast wont stop playing when you switch to another app and reentering the CBC News app hides the newscast progress bar so theres no way to stop or rewind the stream     Crashes and more

I cannot pause the radio after I exit and I really dont need it to refresh automatically              Refresh automatically

Whenever theres breaking news the only time I usually try to view this app breaking news pushes through but if clickedcrashed app Cant actually view anything Ridiculous     Constant crashing

All thats displayed now is a couple of letters above blank space for each section The old app worked fine Surely Canadas national news network can do better than this They should look at the BBC app to see what a userfriendly functional news service app looks like     No news is good news

The app seems pretty nice except that its impossible to get video that is playing to rotate into landscape mode Naturally this makes watching video much less practical           Video wont rotate into landscape

I really enjoy this app The only issue that I would like to see changed is to add the comment section on each article This section is found on the website and I really enjoy reading the publics comments on the daily news Please add this feature to your iPad and iPhone apps Thank you so much Love CBC              Comments

This is a nice app although it contains far too much advertising Biggest complaint is it is not Chromecast compatible so cant be watched on a full screen just the iPad Please add chromecast compatibility        Cant Chromecast

I have used the CBC News app for several years and have always enjoyed it I just upgraded to an iPhone 6 running 811 however and have found that CBC notifications no longer worknot even after I restored the phone as a new phone Indeed the CBC app does not even appear in the notifications center of Settings Please address these problems in the next update        Notifications Not Working

An excellent resource and a great source of information from a Canadian perspective if you dont mind a dozen updates every single day on the very same topics An irritant that mars an otherwise good app           DGS
