Whenever I need a mini retreat I can go to this resource It has good bible passages and the setup with music silent time and prayers really helps structure the meditation I do wish they had more types of music The Gregorian chant is my favorite The others seem to noisy for me Great tool For Spiritual Development Meditation

This is a helpful app I can set my desired prayer time and then forget about watching the clock True you have to remember to have your phone off silence to hear the beginning and ending gongs Not a terrible inconvenience but it would be better if it gonged while in silent mode There is always the chance that your prayer period could be interrupted by a call notification or text message I dont get a lot of these so it hasnt been an issue for me Works for me

This has literally been a Godsend to help me with centering prayer It has helped me develop acdaily practice that I hope to continue Id also like to explore using it to lead a group Thanks to Contemplative Outreach for developing and offering this app Excellent

I gave this app four stars instead of five because the sound does not work on my iPad Otherwise it is perfect A Wonderful App

I am so dependent on this app for Centering Prayer a great tool I wish there were a way to filter out push notifications and email pings as they come in they can be distracting my only lowtech fix is to put it into airplane mode My other complaint is that when I do have a legitimate need to stop my Centering Prayer and try to come back to it there is no way to pause the operation I do like the backgrounds and variety of beginning and ending prayers My GoTo Tool for CP

The Centering Prayer app is a perfect tool for practicing contemplative prayer I especially love the timer and the choice of sounds by which it signals the end of the prayer session I no longer am jolted out of my prayer time by such things as the annoying sound of a kitchen timer I love the Centering Prayer app

Love the layout and idea of this but the iPhone cant be on do not disturb or the sounds are not heard Also it doesnt work when the screen locks So when I start w the sound and begin meditation and the screen auto locks after a few minutes I find the ending sound never comes I look at my phone and the darn thing is still stuck on the first screen So frustrating Disappointing but promising

While it may not appeal to everyone I find this app a great aid to meditation on a daily basis It helps me focus and frees me to truly center Its a great aid to prayer

Simple even elegant presentation that easily draws one into the practice of centering prayer Best if you remember to put phone in airplane mode plus do not disturb first and third circles on bottom slide up menu on iPhone Options to select from small palette of styles inspirational material and length of session My home screen only has this one icon showing and that alone is a good visual prompt into the inner work Beautiful

Had problems at first on iPad until someone suggested turning on Airplane Mode and turning off Mute ie turning on ringer Works great on iPad

Id like it a little better if the sound function worked even when the iPad volume is off as some other apps do I forget to turn it on and miss the beginning sound The beginning sound is also too long Overall its a nice intro tool for beginning a meditation practice Its pretty good

I have really enjoyed this app However I would like to be able to add my own prayers and some of the scriptures that I like to the beginning and ending prayers My first prayer app

The app works perfectly on my iPhone but even after many attempts the download to my iPad has no sound Very disappointing Download to iPad has no sound

This app has been so helpful to my practice of CP I can even pray at work and if I dont have 20 or 30 minutes the adjustable timer is so helpful Two improvements I would like to see allow the texts for the prayers to be adjustable The print is so tiny that the strain of focusing is distracting Also keep the seasonal backgrounds but make them darker so the white text shows up better Pastel backgrounds and white text are a difficult combination when youre trying to read Thank you for this app Almost Perfect

On an iPad when I changed the background from spring to fall the window shrank and the Next and Back menus disappeared Good app but maybe still a few bugs Helpful but

for debugging I am running iOS 7 on iPhone 4s Latest update crashes immediately

I have been using this app for a few weeks now and really love it The only thing I wish was different is that it would run in the background with Do Not Disturb on I found a work around in that I set DND to silent always change allow calls to no one and then change my auto lock to never This keeps the app open the entire time of my sit without interruption but its a lot of steps to take to make sure Im not disturbed before and then I have to go back and change it all after Not a big deal it would just be nice if I didnt have to take all those steps Other than that I love it and Im very glad I found it Love this app

This is a really helpful tool to assist prayer It helps one to focus takes away the time distraction and has helpful beginnings and closing to the formal prayer time I would like to see options to some type of meditative music that does help some folks to focus Helpful tool

Just set up your preferences and from then on all you need to do is tap the begin prompt in the upper right corner After the opening sound the app moves through your settings with no more input from you Its perfect for my practice and the web resources are outstanding Seamless Doesnt Intrude
