Cessna iFlite

The description says the 99c purchase allows you to purchase and view POHs It should say purchase and THEN view because you cant view anything without making a 40 purchase For new and student pilots ostensibly the target of an app like this being able to view various POHs perhaps for a limited time or only when connected to the internet would be valuable As is this is a worthless app and I wish I had my dollar back     Misleading description

Ive used iFlite since last November Amazing application Once the updates shown at AOPA last November due any day now I hear come out Ill let my other Aviation subscription go At the moment the only thing I use it for is Nexrad weather while on the ground iFlite is just so much better in the air WB for My Corvalis 400TT for preflight planning Performance for take off landing based on my WB is amazing Ability to get ETA speed Temps at all flight levels not just the one Im planning Taxi diagrams that show where my plane is on the field moves with mebetter than my G1000 For 99 more I can have moving plane on approach plates just like on Jepp plates Much more than I can write here I also heard that with the latest release that theyll give 30 days to the full application to try it out Best Buy for my aviaiton dollars                 Best iPad planning app

Bought it for the Aopa directory cant use anything without buying more stuff     Dont buy

Purchased 172S POH but it doesnt tell you its for NAVIII G1000 I have NAVII 172S 2001 There went my 3999 IN APP purchase dollars Other features seem to be useful Would like IFR charts to center on screen in full page A zoom out for VFR charts would be nice too        Could be better

Another way Cessna finds to get more money out of you Use Wx from Hilton Software Its the same thing and 40 less I dont know how Cessna can use another companies software and then charge the customer an extra 40 for something they didnt even write And charge 10 for AOPA database that is FREE from AOPA just to download the applicationand I own a Cessna     Dont waste you money

Update Only out a few weeks and already an update with new functions I cant wait to see whats next Love the sectional view for the TFR views Great Addition Previous review Give it a chance The other reviews have not actually reviewed the full program once the subscription has been activated I have purchased Hiltonsoftware products for the past 7 years and each version is better than the last With everything activated you get A GPS moving map with route information including actual weather and always current approach charts all on one page at the same time The plates even have the ability to show where your aircraft is on the specific approach plate while flying it It has airport diagrams for every airport set to display when departing and arriving on your flight The map displays airspace dimensions with a mere tap With the Cessna integration select the aircraft model departure and arrival airports and Iflite will calculate the required take off and landing distances for all the runways using REAL numbers You can get the weight and balance in less than 20 SECONDS Purchase an ePOH for your plane to have all your aircraft information in one place I have yet to find another product come even close to being able to do everything this does Not to mention weather text images FARs and much more Take a chance You wont regret it                 Give it a Chance You wont regret it

Just a knock off of Wings X Nothing to see here move on and keep your Foreflight     Just a copy of Wings X and just as poor

Even if you can get by the fact this thing doesnt remotely feel like an iOS application it isnt usable Instead of trying to do a few things well it does a bunch of things quite frankly halfbaked Between the completely unworkable UI these guys do get that a splash screen inside your application is not standard iOS UI right which has you bobbing in and out of workflows to find functions awkwardlyconfigured and nonperformant downloads when they work and a design that makes you wonder if the people that wrote actually fly airplanes you have to ask yourself if there are other options The socalled POH they sell isnt close to the guide you get with your aircraft I have a 2010 Turbo Skylane and the one I purchased inapp was a complete ripoff It is missing most of the appendices that come with standard production airplanes and contacting the support function if you want to call them that yields a response of we simply provide what Cessna gives us translation Not my problem Since the support department never chose to respond to my communications what Im looking for is something that remotely resembles the POH in terms of content as opposed to just bits of it What they provide in the application is LESS than what you can get by simply downloading the PDF of the PIM off of Cessnas web site FOR FREE Do yourself a favor if youre looking for an alternative grab the PIM for cessnacom for FREE install it in iBooks and try something like ForeFlight HD Youll be glad you did and youll save a few bucks too not to mention the headaches     A ripoff of the worst magnitude Look for alternatives

Doesnt allow viewing of AFD or AOPA info as claimed in the description     Fraud

Really like this app Needs some older POH like the Cessna 172N              Getting Better

Update for new version previous review below So now theyve added E6B functionality which I guess is probably worth the buck if you have no other tool for this But nothing else without a paid subscription so still big points off for not being clear about what features you get wo subscribing in the app description If a radio frequency guide for airports and an E6B are worth a buck to you get it but dont expect anything else without the annual subscription Why does something like the DUAT access button require a subscription to this apps data service DUAT is a free service How about just explaining in the app description that the vast majority of functions described require the annual subscription Still a rip off from that perspective Previous review There were no reviews available so I took a chance with my 99 cents based on the apparent fact that this is a Cessnabranded product and might be worth trying Be advised the only thing in this app that works without a subscription is the Airport information button which brings up a list of radio frequencies for the airport you search on Nothing else in the app works all the other buttons are grayedout From the developers description you would think that everything but the approach plates and the POHs for specific aircraft came would work without a subscription but thats not the case Theres no way I would cough up the 150year subscription price after this initial experience I strongly suspect this is just a rebranding of another product from the same developer because the inapp help menus all refer to the app as WingX Theres another product by that name in the iTunes store and it does not have a very high average reviewer rating Makes me wonder if Cessna even knows about this product Summary dont waste your 99 like I did        Rip off

Downloaded the App and began setting it up I purchased and downloaded one POH and then tried to purchase and download a second POH It stated that My payment method was declined I verified all was correct in the iTunes Store should be since it already allowed me to purchase the app and one POH I checked with American Express who saw the purchases but said there was no subsequent charge requests from the Apple Store and no declines Waited overnight to try again in case the ITunes Store wanted to see a time delay since my original purchases because of the amount The next day same process with the same results Since American Express was not seeing the charges and not declining the problem had to be Apple or the app Its was an in App purchase so I figure its the Cessna iFlite app I check everywhere in the app and in the App Store and theres no way to contact the developer and report the problem This is not good Hilton Software is not providing good support and if they have an issue they need to know Other App developers have been easier to communicate with when I needed           Cessna iFlite

Agree with the other reviewers This app is actually WX in a different package Costs additional money to make it do almost everything App does NOT include the full AFD just airport information POHs available for sale are very limited not many Cessna aircraft available only the newest models     Misleading

This is exact same app as WingX Pro 7 After spending 400 plus for all subscriptions for WingX Pro 7 one would think they should be able to use same ID and password for this app as WingX Pro 7 Waste of 100 plus tax     Seriously
