ChatSecure is supposed to send a warning after 9 minutes that you ll be disconnected unless you open it within a minute but it doesn t send it to me There s a push notification issue that the app recognizes but then just links me to some long documentation on XEP 0357 and doesn t explain how to make it work So the app is effectively useless for me     XEP 0357 shannontyler89

The app initially will connect to the hipchat server but after closing and reopening the connection always fails with a xml syntax validation failure for the connection that was just working Additionally it does not support groups rooms and will only work he first time it connects to send 1 1 messages     Not a good hipchat XMPP replacement Wired333

A little too secure maybe It keeps timing out faster than you can think App works well but needs a few feature changes to make it super usable As it is designed now you have to use an out of band method to agree to chat in advance you can t simply leave the app open waiting for incoming chats This is the app s HUGE disadvantage While yes it makes it HIGHLY secure it also makes it difficult to use There SERIOUSLY needs to be an option to adjust how long to stay open in the background including forever This would make the communications over the air secure what most people are really concerned about while leaving the phone potentially a target I use the app a lot for secure communications when I can t get a VPN to be stable but a few tweaks would make the app A LOT more usable and it would become my sole XMPP app                     Best OTR Chat App JRK1231

I really wanted this app to work I love the idea of an open source secure chat client I have not been able to get this app to connect to two different xmpp chat servers on my iPhone 6 Plus Constantly hangs on logging in and then crashes Hoping an update will bring a fix     one star has potential tsbartle
