The Chem3D is now available as a free download on Apple Store for iPad owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 19.7 MB to download. The new Chem3D app version 1.0 has been updated on 2014-11-20. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Best 3D molecular viewer Ive seen especially the extra properties versus other apps The different views ball and stick cartoon are really useful for rendering an area of interest in different ways And I love the rocker button The possibilities offered by FlickToShare are intriguing I think we will see this evolve into a way of building communities for different research projects Beautiful rendering

Great structure viewer Does not have any of the features of Chem3D If you want to view pdb files works well You can not easily bring in your own structures If you do the structure as a pdb can not be minimized There are other free viewers that have many useful features besides just viewing Ok as free program but lacks functionality of Chem3D Really should be called Chem3D viewer because that is all this is 3D viewer
Not for basic ochem level It might be useful for a more advance ochem student or a biochem student Impressive app
