ChemDraw app has been update to version 1.0 with several major changes and improvements. App release that improves performance, provides several new options.

If you are iPad owner,you now can download ChemDraw for $9.99 from Apple Store. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 34.4 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0 has been released on 2014-11-25. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Outstanding Best drawing app for iPad A text box would be nice for future versions chem draw

Okay this is a complete revision of my review Been using this program for a while and now rate it 5 stars Its well done Perkin Elmer please please add a grid line option so that users can carefully line up arrows and other shapes Rotation of arrows and other objects should snap to for example 10 degree angles Also transforming molecules to ball and stick form or other 3D views would be very useful Otherwise thanks for a very useful app Good but

Great to finally have an easy and robust chemical drawing program for the iPad I found it intuitive to use and easy to produce good chemical structures I would give it five stars if it 1 allowed text editing of atom labels and the insertion of captions 2 had an easy way to export the drawings to note taking programs like Notability or OneNote and 3 allowed a folder system for saving drawings Drawing is easy and intuitive though looks great and is easy to share out to my desktop or to others Great addition to my iPad

I did not expect this to have every feature of the desktop program but this is much much too limited to justify the name Chemdraw for iPad This is not chemdraw It doesnt even have Convert Name to Structure You can draw a structure line by line and thats about it The drawing is NOT optimized for touchscreen Less convenient than desktop with about 001 the functionally The description is very deliberately vague about just how few Chemdraw features this actually has Again this is not Chemdraw for iPad Not hardly They couldve called this ChemdrawR iSketchpad or something similar and at least been honest about what they are selling Not remotely worth even half its price Dont bother Big disappointment

This application is incredibly intuitive and easy to use on an iPad the structures look perfect and can be easily edited I wanted to use this program for preparing formal reports on laboratory work mechanisms synthesis analysis etc and this application has fulfilled those desires while handing me a gorgeous layout and format for use on my iPad Air I would have paid way more than 999 for this application so this is a great deal for any chemist or colleague in research Thank you PerkinElmer you have seriously made my day Unbelievable

Missing NMR feature name to structure feature and structure to name feature among others Not very useful Missing features

Just upgraded wish I hadnt Its now just a 10 brick of code in my iPads memory Crashes on startup Please fix Crashes on iOS7 spring 2012 ipad

Why not add the function to predict NMRs convert name to structure structure to name etc like the desktop version That would be so much better Can be Better

I echo many of the other reviews intuitive and convenient drawing program A couple of things that would make this a 5star app Dropbox or other cloud support I want to use this as a complement to the desktop version Email is a bit clunky Having an arrow capped pen tool would be very nice for drawing arrow pushing mechanisms The real retrosynthetic arrow Good start hope for a few more features

The good it is very easy to use to draw chemical structures with this app The use of the touch screen on the iPad has actually made it easy and fast to draw structures The user interface is pretty straight forward and similar to what you would see in the PCM version of chem draw just simplified a bit The bad the one thing in my opinion that keeps his from being a very useful app is the lack of the ability to open a text box and annotate any chemical equation you draw Not bad but room for improvement

This app makes learning structures fun It is easy to use and intuitive It currently does not name the structures as far as I can see Very happy with this purchase Great App

Ive used ChemDraw for years but this version for my iPad is a completely new experience I can sketch out ideas and reaction pathways anywhere and at anytime Brilliant Ultimate convenience

The chemical intelligence and ease of drawing are impressive It needs more ways of sharing your drawings though Works well

This app is the best in its class I tried ChirysDraw and Doodle It allows to draw schemes mechanisms annotate molecules just about anything I used to have on my computer It was imperfect a year ago after I downloaded it for the first time but eventually it improve such that there are no more complains I can post Very good

I thought this will be useful since I have used the same application for the mac But I am disappointed this application doesnt even work well If you will try to give a subscript on any chemical formula you would not be able to do that They say Its perfect but its not Very poor editing options Doesnt satisfy th important needs The mac application is better where at least you can draw the entire equation as you want But thats too costlyI mean really Editong

Very great app easy to use I would like to have a nudge tool to fine tune placement of objects Also I had trouble adding multiple lone pairs to a central atom It would be nice to be able to add three lps around a halogen by just tapping the atom and dragging the lps around the atom Great app

Brilliant resource for opening chemdraw documents on your iPad Ive been waiting for this since 2010 Very easy and intuitive to use Highly recommended Finally
