CHICAGO L RAPID TRANSIT 3.0 VERSION IS AVAILABLE The new version of Chicago L Rapid Transit application takes advantage of iPhone / iPod Touch OS 3.0 features. - The application is fully compatible with Google Map. It ...
The locate function did NOT work at all I had better luck pulling up the Maps app to scroll and zoom around to determine the closest stop If I didnt have a knowledge of the CTA subway system from living there I could not have relied on this app to navigate Disappointed     Buggy
I should have listened to the other reviews Worthless     Horrible
The app is really not helpfully it does not allow you to zoom in an get street names     Not worth having
What good is an app to help you plan your trip if it doesnt include the train schedules and departure times I feel like I want my money back even though I only paid 099 Also the user interface is poorly designed It doesnt meet the expectations of iPhone users Here are examples 1 The main view is the map You can scroll left right up down but you cant zoom to see an overview and its not obvious where the downtown loop detail is There is a box on the map that says see detail for downtown I tried to tap it but it did nothing I had to scroll to the lower left part of the map to see it Thats not obvious Also you cannot tap on a station to see the train arrival times I was very disappointed to learn that there are no train scheules whatsoever in this app 2 The Lines view lists allt the different colored lines Great But I tried to tap one of the lines to see a list of stations or something but nothing happened Its just a stupid list of colors And believe it or not the developers had the audacity to build a search function to seach the list of colors that you can easily see on screen Is this a joke 3 There is a very long list of stations that you can tap and it will show the station on the map Yawn 4 The locate nearest station using my location didnt work for me I live a mile away from a station and it could find any stations near me Yes I adjusted the settings to increase the search radius It doesnt work Bug Broken 5 The route planner is rather awkward to use The user interface is not as intuitive as the built in Google maps app Instead of selecting your start and end stations on a single screen you have to move from one screen to another like a Windows wizard It gives you the estimated travel time which is how this app earned the star I gave it But it doesnt tell you the departure and arrival times which I feel is more important Overall the only thing this app is good for is to have an electronic version of the CTA map on your phone But you can get that for free from the CTA web site If I were the CTA then I would not authorize this app as the developers said they did in the app store The user experience and features falls short of even the most basic expectations like giving you a train schedule Google already has nice trip planning on their maps web site Hopefully they will bring justice by writing or updating their iPhone app to include bus and train scheduled for major metropolitan cities     What No train schedule times
I bought the app and it looked impressive However the google maps on the iPhone already do this and better Search on your google map for your destination and use your current location to determine directions When your directions pop up click the icon at the top that looks like a bus train Boom it will tell you which line to take and even give you the estimated arrivals of each train It also tells you where to walk after getting off the train Save your 99 cents since the phone can already do this     Pointless
I keep getting a message that the station status can only be used on iPhone I AM using it on an iPhone4 It will not display any information about the lines except to list them On my NYC Subway app there is a secondary menu for each station I am disappointed in the Chicago app because I am planning a trip there soon and am not sure it will be of much help Thank goodness it didnt cost much        Chicago L
Needs schedules and an actual map not the weakness they have up     So weak
I give this app one star because you cannot access the Loop detail on the map while browsing     No access to Loop detail
I wish this had realtime arrivals When will the upgrade with bus tracker be added Only good thing about it is to have a map handy        Okay but wish it had a bus tracker
This app is worthless I cant believe I paid 99 cents for it     Horrible
This app is a glorified CTA map thats it It cant find a lot of common addresses in searches and who wants to scroll through a list of 100s of CTA stations HopStop has much better integration of maps addresses and the transit system all in one place Even though this was only 99 cents Im annoyed that I paid for Chicago Rapid Transit     Get HopStop instead better functionality for free
How can an app describe services that are not provided How do I get my money back Its the principle     Are you kidding me
Worthless Says only works with iPhone when I use steer clear iPhone4 users     Bad
If the designer of this app reads this you owe me 99 This app doesnt work at all Im surprised Apple even let it be sold Far far below Apples standards     Worst app I have ever downloaded
Touch screen freezes constantly unusable Deleted the day I bought it     No Good
Does nothing but show a copy of the cities L map     Wasted money
Its little more than a copy and paste of the website for CTS If you dont already know the city its USELESS Deleted same day as purchased     Dont bother
You get what you pay for     Crashtastic
