This is the most AMAZING app and the most effective Chinese studying app I have on my phone You can study anywhere I love that what you know or don t know is color coded on each card I also like that it can be a competition between your friends I don t have any friends but I would imagine it would be fun If you re in doubt of purchasing this do it you won t regret it                     Best Chinese Flashcard App Sodaman32

I love this app I am learning Chinese on it It is very convenient and fits to your learning level The only thing is that I wish it could do Hebrew i m not fluent but I know a lot of Hebrew I use a different app for Hebrew and I think I can learn it faster if this app did Hebrew                     Great Learning experience Abumifu

Thanks to this app I have been able to learn many characters I would like it more if it had a way to play flashcards automatically with chinese pronunciation and meaning in english so you could listen to it while you are on the go                     Great app but would it be to much if I ask for a way to play flashcards automatically Clandestino1989

It s great to whip it out in a moment of boredom and learn a few Like standing in line at the DMV It works too Example sentences would be nice because it s not always clear which meaning of a word is meant For example the word each When that happens I switch to the excellent Pleco dictionary to get full meanings with examples I only have to do that once when I see a new word though The flash card frequency is great for reminding to make it stick The hardest part is making learnt words stick and not slip away Brainscape does it well Another reviewer said the word for want and think were conflated The trouble is that a single Chinese word can mean either Many Chinese words have no precise meaning on their own and only get their precise meaning in combination with another word Actually the same is true in English but to a lesser extent Take the words up and down Now combine them with the words go shut and throw and see what you get The whole Chinese language is like that Mostly                     Easy to use Paodequai

I have been taking Mandarin Chinese for 4 years now and I got this app because I wanted away to review and freshen up on old material on the go I was severely disappointed by the inaccuracy of the definitions as many of them were far from what I d been taught by my teacher a native Chinese speaker for example the Chinese word for want was translated to think and their definition for excuse me was way off The study techniques may work for some people but the translations are far from accurate I would not recommend this app     Inaccurate translations Becca666666

I think the greatest thing about the app is the system of learning I have come to solely use this app for flashcards There are a few problems I must address for the app Limitations in making flashcards on the app Very few available subjects to study Some are good but expensive No sharing of cards from other users this means that you either pay for it or make them yourself Overall a great app for the already made flashcards                 Next Generation Flashcards Rawrgamer

I ve been living in China for about four months and I ve been taking Mandarin classes twice a week in the evening after work It s a very difficult language to learn and I found this app very helpful for review I can check it out when riding the bus metro or whenever I have free time It s definitely worth paying the full price to get all the cards I plan to be in China for several years and I will learn this language                     Good App Jon Poblador

Loved how China brain scape works but my tutor has specific words I need to be learning so I would search add his words To my surprise words like China and call I can t find There were more Really Come on Maybe the words are in there but it s no intuitive I even paid for the full blown version figuring I had to pay to unlock extra words I feel like a big sucker     Really ikyysyd

Sprung for Rosetta Stone and got nowhere but in terms of Mandarin just a way lighter wallet Brainscape works and is much easier to use with out a teacher or other support It s significantly helping the rate at which I pick up vocabulary To be fair Rosetta Stone was useful when I was paired with an instructor and was good as a supplement to my teacher Brainscape is cool because we use the website and create custom cards for the week just haven t figured out how to integrate them with my iPad yet                 Way better than Rosetta Stone at a way fairer price Kaiserja

Honestly I can say it s smart the way the flash card system is setup I ve heard a lot of people don t like flash cards but I ve never tried them till this app and I gotta day well done It s definitely worth the 19 99 for sure Over 5700 flash cards to learn from I can t wait to master them I like how the beginning shows you many words and then starts to sentences So basically you can start to make simple sentences quickly especially if you already know some Chinese                     Excellent Ma Lin 520 Wei

I like the general UI of the app but it s lacking a few things audio is low quality or even cut off for some words audio is completely missing for some sections lack of configuration ability It d be cool to be able to set how many new words you want to see per day and whether or not you want the pinyin or not etc If configuration and audio were solid this would be 5 stars Audio is critical for learning mandarin         Missing low quality audio ErnieATX
