If you are iPhone and iPad owner,you now can download Code Reader for free from Apple Store. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 3.3 MB to download. The new Code Reader app version 2.0 has been updated on 2014-11-25. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I just needed to read some bar codes and see what it translated into I also needed to determine what type of bar codes these were I need to duplicate these items in a word document and this little piece of software is perfect for that role It is able to grab a barcode even with an unsteady hand in regular office light Again I am not sure that other reviewers are looking for but for my simple purpose this is ideal I could not get the google search feature to work I kept getting the can not connect to Internet error but again I did not require this feature Works well for scanning barcodes
I am iPhone 4 user with iOS 43 and this application NEVER ever crashed to me I dont know what people are talking about I love the fact this app supports many types of codes so I can read a lot if different types of codes just for fun While there is not much practical use to read say my drivers license number from the barcode I have on the other side of it or to read my utility account from my utility bill I just have some fun that I am able to decode that stuff If course when you scan a typical UPC code then you will get a product name and price I wish it could decode 2d codes so when scanning my drivers license I could read my name and address and the other stuff they decided it there In Illinois you have three barcodes one if them is 1d alpha numeric with ID number and the other one 2d with all front informations and the 3rd one is inventory number that you can actually decode too Thank you for the nice free app and I hope the developer will add more types of barecodes in the future Very pleased

Crashes Have rebooted Go somewhere else for a barcode scanner Would give 0 stars if possible until it is fixed Waste of time
This was the first barcode app Ive used that actually read my library card and the databar code from coupons Redlaser neoscanner bakido and scanlife could not read these The UI looks messy and incomplete with labels like BTN from CAMERA but it works I wish it would save an image of the scanned code but just being able to read a databar coupon code is great Not many bells and whistle but it works
