Cook - The World`s Cook Book

Im girl who loves her food and loves to cook and when I saw this app I immediately downloaded it I love the idea and the overall interface of the app but the crashes are one thing that is really discouraging Love the app though           Excellent except for the crashes

This App needs further development to enable recipes to be imported automatically Double input is a waste of time and effort on the user side There is no chance I will use this App without that feature        Auto Import Needed

So overall I really love the idea I was wondering whether it would be possible to allow the individual recipes to be moved around in their own categories This would make the recipes more organized within their own categories Thanks for the time              Pretty Awesome

This is by far the best app to save recipes but I should be able to access my cookbook offline           Offline Access

Let me start by saying the application is absolutely awesome and I know its going to become one of the most used apps on my iPhone Couple things keep me from giving it five stars hope to see these in future updates 1 I need the ability to backup my recipe database I had an incident where some of my recipes vanished the support team was awesome and had them restored with in 2 hours of reporting the issue and that made me instantly want the ability to backup my stuff 2 Pinterest Sharing is a must for this app 3 Need to have a print recipe option Also a shopping list function 4 It would be great to be able to link this directly into a WordPress blog either with a PressThis option or better yet a WordPress plugin that can pull from the online database 5 There needs to be a wider range of tags available 6 There needs to be a better way to search recipes from other peoples cook books While I can easily search for a user I would like to be able to search for recipe key words as well 7 Recipes should have credit option Is it your recipe that you are posting or did you get it from somewhere else 8 If you are entering the directions for your recipe and click off the window but not on the check box the app will crash and you will lose the recipe you where working on This is overly annoying because if you have a long set of directions the check box remains at the top of the screen so it goes off page 9 Last but certainly not least when you like someone elses recipe they all go into a single section of likes I would like the ability to divide up where these go either by allowing multiple like cook books or preferably allowing me to integrate those recipes i like into my own sections              Great app but needs a bit of enhancement

I love this app I have downloaded my cookbooks but none like this Ive created my own cookbook of recipes I want to try or have tried and are keepers I can wait for more books to be added and shared                 Cooks cookbook

Cannot add 4 eggs to ingredient list It seems if it doesnt have a measurement like 4 cups ect it will not add For example I also just tried to add cooking spray and it would not let me Also when I emailed myself a recipe to see how it would show up to people without the app when I followed the link the it showed my recipe it looked great but the cook time was set to 0 and in the app it was 1 h 20mins Other than this e app is great Please fix        If bugs are fixed will be 5 stars

It needs more work to get everything straightened up I started with naming the page and then I decided to rename it a minute later It got stuck So I really dont know if the app is cool or not I had to delete it Sorry pal        Great Idea but

I like the app very much Took me a bit to pick up on a few of the details but I got it One little thing I would modify The serves note It only allows a single number and sometimes it is better to put something like serves 24 But hey thats me              One modification

I love the app and plan to share it with friends and family but it has crashed twice mid recipe The functionality is great for writing down recipes but recipes still take some time to write If the app keeps crashing well stop trying to write them Its a great concept and apps arent easy to do so keep up the good work and make this thing great           Great aside from the crashing

This app is trying to help you share recipes not just manage them so it may be understandable BUT lots of us would like to at least test out the app and the digital rendition of our recipes before sharing You cannot even try the interface without an account Save your privacy use something else     Account Required

Nice new feature but OFF LINE MODE and UNIVERSAL for all iOS devices would much useful I wouldnt mind paying for the add if you add such features        Very Nice but

I cant enjoy the recipes from different countries if I cant translate the language        Language

I really love this app as a place to document my family favorites as well as having a place to share recipes with my grown kids who live out of state I hope the bug that cause the app to close without saving my work gets fixed Big frustration I will remain optimistic              Cook App forced closure

Everytime it crashes it deletes my recipe book     Beautiful interface but crashing makes it useless

I think Im seeing things because I thought I saw that this is a Universal app Maybe it will be one day        OH SHUCKS

I am absolutely in love with the Cook app Wonderful design very easy to use great use of gestures It is not perfect or finished and still crashes on occasion I use a keyboard to type in my recipes and when I enter Ingredients it really does not like it when I use the Tab key crashes whenever I press Tab This would enable me to type them much faster After looking through a lot of the reviews I am concerned about the reliability of the app longterm The design is perfect but if it doesnt function properly then there is no point If my recipes disappear I will never use it again On iPad Mini with iOS 7           Great Design Lots of Force Closes

Again a beautiful app but it would be amazing if we could easily copy paste and organize the recipes into your personal cookbook              Lots of Potential

Thank you for this My only qualm is that I cant change what picture shows up in the background of my book Id like a little more customization options as far as book appearance goes but it really is so well done              Beautiful App

Love the app I started to create my first recipe but ran into issues adding ingredients The app wont save more than two ingredients in my recipe This needs to be fixed ASAP as it renders the app useless for custom recipes Still works for finding new stuff though           Great but buggy

I had found this app because it was an Apple featured app for iOS 7 I downloaded it and used it to create a few recipes from scratch It seemed to work fine and wow it is beautiful Fast forward a few months and I go to add a recipe I found on a website I discovered that the app does a few things that now make it nearly worthless to use I was switching between apps and every time I switched back to the Cook app it would refresh and Id lose everything I had previously entered Ok So the work around is to copy a small section and save after each change yes annoying Then I find that the app crashes on simple things like tap and hold to bring up a context menu or when you press the hide keyboard button Now it crashes so much to the point that it becomes useless I will wait until the next update If this isnt fixed I guess it will be time to uninstall     Beautiful but useless

For starters let me say that it is always nice to see an app that has been built from the ground up for iPad This app makes use of the larger screen in a way that feels fresh and exciting Recipes submitted by users are automatically sorted into special cookbooks like baking so browsing is always super easy Cookbooks are presented on a carousel of sorts and opening them shows a delicious array of foods Subtle and beautiful visual effects abound and the elements of the app are so crisp it feels like you can touch them Its true it lacks some poweruser features its more like a cross between a full blown recipe manager and Pinterest but Id recommend this to anybody with an iPad and a penchant for making tasty treats                 Freshly Cooked

Im not inclined to put all my family recipes into this app There is no way of backing them up or exporting them I tried to share my recipes thinking it would give the step by step recipe but all it does is give you a website link to go to Im sorry but Im not going to wait for an issue to arise before I stop using this app Ill stop right now before I have too many recipes in here that Ill have to write down by hand as a backup     No backups

You have to manually type in EVERYTHING you cant just auto add recipes like other cookbook apps Just recently I found that you cant use it without an internet connection AT ALL not even to seeadd your own recipes Thats just absurd to me after that I decided to delete it     Liked it at first but

Should be called Food Porn rather than Cook because this app is all about making and sharing pretty recipes not about actually helping you cook If youre one of those creepers who takes pictures of their food in restaurants then this app might be for you Otherwise stay clear Another update and still no import function Just for kicks I decided to make a recipe for toast to test the utility of this app Biggest problem is I had to create everything from scratch because there is no import For toast this isnt terribly burdensome but for some of my recipes would be a major pain in the keister Just not interested in going there But then again the point is Food Porn not actually storing all your recipes to help with say meal planning or shopping lists Heavens no that would be useful Anyway anyone using my recipe will get burnt toast because the minimum cook time other than 0 is 5 minutes Beautiful recipe for toast though first picture of toast Ive ever taken     Misnamed

I cant do anything on the app Its a good app but it would help if I could get to my recipe book or be able to open anything     Broke

I downloaded this app and deleted it within 2 minutes The app forces you to use landscape orientation and I dont use landscape for anything but the handful of games I play Fix the app to use portrait and Ill consider using it     App forces landscape orientation

Whats the point I created an account however cant even begin to create my own cookbook No other options load up anything Zilch Its fair to say this is my very first app download that fails to do anything at all After sign it avoids connectivity like the plague Time wasted     Useless Why

Gorgeous design with massive online community Create your own cookbook with ease Its prefect though 1 picture per recipe and no backup Fix those and its a 5 star app for sure              Fantastic recipe sharing app

I had about 5 recipes in my book with photos and comments It took a while to type them all in and I threw away the written copies after doing so Then I opened the app to enter a recipe and all of my recipes were gone It is behaving as if I just opened the app for the first time I will not use or recommend the app if there is not a way to back up the book It is too much work to have to start over     App dumped all of my recipes

Most of the recipes I would be interested in are not in English Some of the books open and say they have whatever number of recipes and then I cant see them And the deal breaker for me is no print function I do not take my expensive iPad into the kitchen where it can be spilled on etc Would like to be able to print out recipes           Meh

Good app has crashed a few times while in the middle of writing a recipe so had to rewrite I recommend saving each section as you go Beautiful layout and great place to find new recipes The social media style following of other and liking others recipes needs some adjusting Hard to find other active people unless you really search Needs an IG style browsing function to make it more useful Also being a photographer I wish people would use their own photographs of their dishes instead of adding images that obviously came from the book Would make their recipes a little more them Just some thoughts              Good but room for improvement

The layout of the app is gorgeous and using it is extremely easy However after shutting me out several times the app erased ALL my recipes I had entered Total waste of time     Pretty But Useless

Ive been looking for something to put my favorite recipes in and this is great Plus you get others cookbooks as well Only downfall is it can be a little glitchy like when youre storing a recipe and you have to refer back to other infothen you go back to the app to add it and it just goes away Have to start all over again And I wish they had a version for the iPhone that would sync up That would be the best              Great App

I love this app but Im having issues with the application closing while Im in the middle of inputting a recipe It would be great to have access on a website to input my recipes so I dont have to worry about the app shutting down           Perfect for Recipes and Images
