I agree w the critcs it has potential but does not live up to it It is buggy and has a clumsy interface compared to navigon When playing music from ipod or pandora in background the voice comes on and reduces the music volume but when its finished it leaves the volume reduced until the app is closed w task manager It also tried to send me through a residential neighborhood to get onto a freeway where i was right next to the onramp while leaving a truck stop If only the navigon guys could team up w pc miler navigon is a much more polished product 150 is too much for this        Let down

After the new update its been worthless and this is the only app Ive paid for     Updates

I cant string together enough four letter hyphenated words to describe the unacceptably horrible job ticket system for what had been such A FANTASTIC PRODUCT for the last 6 years     Horrible HATEFUL Support system

Clearturn is good when its available There are too many confusing highway splits that have no indication of where to go in detail There is no volume control to adjust the voice in relation to the music You can set the music to dim when the voice comes on but the voice is way too loud According to the manual there is supposed to be a volume control but there is not Also according to the manual I should be able to see details about traffic problems All I can find is a map I do like that I can set different preferences for specific types of roads That makes the app pick roads more as I would Being that this is the only truck GPS app out there the benefits far out way the few issues I stated here But I hope they fix these BTW I wish they would make a female text to speech voice           Not bad but could use a few improvements

Spend alittle more and get a cobra stand alone unit This app looses sat signal constantly and is eternaly determining location I deeply reget flushing 150 down the toliet     Driver

I seriously regret spending 150 dollars for this app which is worth 20 IMO I haul alot of wide and oversize loads and when I put a size in there it doesnt avoid low bridges and stuff one more thing I hate about it you cant browse the map like other apps I dont trust it Do not buy it        Disapointed

This is the first truck specific GPS I have used I find it adequate at best Its only a tool and if used properly it is very useful If you rely on this as your only way of getting somewhere without doing research youre a tool It is definitely better than a car GPS program as it is less likely to send you into a restricted area but my other GPS program Navigon is a better app in many ways That being said I still use CoPilot Truck at work in my car I use Navigon There needs to be an easier way to send info to ALK concerning problems in their routing Some of it needs updating due to new construction or restrictions Maybe an everpresent button on the screen to save a snapshot of the problem area so you can find it again at the end of the day and send a message to ALK then It needs to be able to find the correct sunsetsunrise times so it can switch from day to night view Right now on automatic setting it changes from day to night at the same time everyday regardless of season I end up just changing it manually Navigon finds sunrisesunset times and switches automatically Another feature that Navigon has that this doesnt is that it knows the local speed limits en route This gives much more accurate ETAs and can also save you from a ticket actually has an alarm which can be enabled Co Pilot has you set speed limits for certain types of roads and the areas they are in If your route takes you on a lot of rural two lanes your ETA wont be close For some reason it takes longer to acquire a GPS signal than Navigon and loses it a little easier So far it has not been a problem but since its just a different program using the same hardware iPhone 4 I dont understand why this is It takes a lot of space on the iPhone because it downloads ALL the maps Some people find this a disadvantage but I find it a plus I live in the pacific northwest and due to the terrain and remoteness of the areas I travel to this is a must for a GPS program Make sure you turn off data roaming if you go to Canada for US based drivers vice versa for Canadian drivers The program as do all GPS programs will constantly try to get new info off the internet One of my fellow drivers received a 1000US bill after using an iPhone with GPS program not this one running after a two day trip in Canada The program allows you to enter the weight and size of your truck and save the profile Very nice feature for someone like me who hauls extended weight loads and switches between Atrains Btrains and 4axle 53s I also switch from 80000 lb loads to 105000 lb loads all the time I have used ALKs other products for truck routing and have found them to be the best They are the same guys who made PC Miler and since a lot of companies calculate trip miles and your pay this in my opinion is the best option out there for company drivers It allows you to keep an eye on your companys payroll practices Warning Do not try to update without a WiFi signal If so the application will be unusable to you acquire one Updating directly to the iPhone takes a long time Youre much better off updating via iTunes on your computer and then syncing           oversize truck driver

It doesnt show restricted streets like no trucks over 4 tons no trucks etc     Not good

Ive been using this as my sole GPS on an iPhone 4 and now an iPhone 5 The screen is not setup for iPhone 5 yet The app sometimes has glitches and hangs when trying to view show on map a simple restart is all they is required to fix that The database is not as good as Google maps so sometimes the address is a bit off Other than that the gps functions well on both iPhone 4 and 5 I never worry about not having a gps signal The app is expensive but since version 9 it has never found me a low bridge and I have come to rely on the traffic feature by Inrix which is wonderful if you spend as much time as I do in the NYC boros              North East Wood Hauler

Still needs tweets here and there but user input would fix a lot like missing addresses Love that I can finally backup my favorites 2 thumbs you                 Finally iCloud backup for Favorites

I like it for a truck program its inexpensive so far so good traffic by Inrix is the best you can get highly recomended                 Well worth the money

Why does the voice navigation keep going out and making me miss turns     Voice

I spent 150 for no reason This app always give me a wrong direction This app not for my iPhone 5 Its only for iPhone 4 or 4s     Bad app

First and foremost annoyance is the lack of a way to turn this app OFF without rebooting your phone If you no longer need the app loaded or if you just want it to shut up while you make a phone call you cant turn it off once you load it How stupid can something be As far as its navigation abilities it does a good job for me There does need to be more frequent updates to the database because it often does not know about a given street Im trying to enter as my destination MotionX can find it why cant this app which cost me a hell of a lot more than MotionX did by the way They need to make a lot of improvements on this one        It has potential but also some problems

Most recent update said it was compatible with iPhone 6 and 6 which would strongly suggest that it would be optimized for the higher resolution displays IT IS NOT Knocking a star off I bought this app almost two years ago and the improvements it has experienced in that time make it in my opinion one of the most customizable and flexible GPS apps PERIOD Any driver looking for a set it and forget it solution is not the kind of truck driver I want to share the road with Maybe this is why I am so happy with this app I have reconciled myself to the notion that it is going to be a LONG time before such a navigation solution for professional drivers exists Any good driver checks their routing before going in With multiple sources including the receiver or shipper themselves This app helps me efficiently plan my route and make sure I stick to it The Inrix traffic service though optional is not 100 accurate all the time but is at least 95 of the time which makes it worth something I could go on but after two years of owning this app and seeing how it works in all areas of the country I highly recommend it and would say it is worth it to the true professional              Dont knock it

Finally updated and whats new Not much Updated interface Good job but thats not what users are want to see in update The app still doesnt know the speed limit on freeways highways and city streets You have to input it in settings Distance left to destination is air miles are you kidding me Why do I even need to know how many AIR MILES to my destination Still not good Still 1 star until improved     Not worth 150

I used this app 80 on all my trips I works fine for me except the hazmat Featurebut I heard that there is an update coming soonthen it will be great and please put the speed limit for every state like garmin does Then Ill give this app 5 stars Other issue I have is when show a traffic jam a popup window comes out And then it covers the 60 of you iphone litle screenuntil you take one hand of the wheel and hit that litle x to closed that popsout window But overall us a great app for OTR My experience 15 year profdriver And certified computer technician 5 stars if hazmat route 3 stars ASIs           Cool app but could be even ever

Ive had this app for almost 2 years and its very good As long as people keep sending in info about changes because of construction and road repairs nobody will be able to compete with it Its a tool use it as suchyou dont become dumber because of it it helps you Need to be able to transfer gps points to new phone instead of losing them              One happy customer

Wish they would say use the computer to install instead of wifi Been logged onto wifi for 1hr and 40mins and just saw a hint of blue bar show up More to come once installed DO NOT USE WIFI TO INSTALL     Wished it would download

This app is the most accurate Ive ever seen and Ive seen a lot Got me through NYC and Chicago without a single glitch However since downloading the update it no longer has HAZMAT routing and the state mileage logs are gone Tech support was responsive but could only say that they are aware of the problem and will fix it on the next update Until then BE CAREFUL IF YOU RUN HAZMAT It tried to take me through downtown Cleveland with HAZMAT good thing I was paying attention And if you run your own IFTA youll need to still write down your mileage If they fix the HAZMAT routing problem on the next update even without the mileage logs it will be the best 3 stars for now 5 stars after they fix the HAZMAT routing The developers shouldve tested it before they released the update           SUPER until update
