On the website there is a filter for radius around a location On the app there is not This is the most important feature in searching for me I do not want those who are 50 km from where I would like to be to populate in my search Here are other missing features from the desktop version but this is the main one Filter Improvement

It really lacks basic functionality of the website Used to be better I really want to see the forms for each city and if it is there its not clearly displayed I want to see if my ride share post has been answered Keep at it guys I love Couchsurfing Could be more functional
This review is coming from someone who never writes reviews THAT is how horrible this app is I might as well delete it since I cant search for hosts read messages or respond to surfers I always have to get on my laptop or the website through safari to get anything done Definitely needs work Please fix it Dont bother
I dont know what everyone is talking about the app works great I have had 0 problems with it Works great
Since the creators of Couchsurfing sold the website to private interests it has steadily been deteriorating in quality The app cant seem to locate you or perform accurate searches The developers seem to be in over their heads When I search local events the app website and email always show me hometown events even though the banner above them says that they are occurring in the place that Im traveling in CS has apparently been trying to fix this for at least a year now Love the concept App seems to be progressively worsening in functionality as it gets updated

the website is better than the app its very buggy i use it to read messages but writing or accepting request sometimes accepts to the wrong profile very annoying needs fix the couchsurfing experience however is great app ok

Couchsurfing and particularly the meet ups and events are great but there are some things on the app that can hinder interaction At times Ive noticed that using desktop version is a lot easier The issues Ive had have been with deleting messages Im not able to so then it becomes hard to keep tabs of what messages are new adding or searching for friends I had someone add me but then I had to use the desktop version in order to add the person so I only knew that someone had added me due to email notification lastly its a bit cumbersome to post events Overall I like the idea of this app and how it facilitates meeting up Love the concept and product but app is hard to use
Couch surfing could be a great service with a large community but unfortunately both this app and the website have seemingly been forgotten about and never get updated Nothing works everything is glitchy no notifications nothing All of this makes actually utilizing this potentially great service impossible Please give a little bit of time to the app and the website and the functionality of both It could be great Crashes Could be a great service
Hey guys Ive noticed lately that Im having trouble replying to requests for people to stay with me and a couple people who have confirmed stays arent showing up on my calendar Please fix for 5 stars Calendar bug but otherwise great
Ive recently restarted using Couchsurfing and this app has made responding to other uses much easier However it is somewhat inconvenient to not be able to easily message upcoming guests as I try to figure out their itineraries It would be nice if I didnt have to go to my inbox and scroll back several pages but could instead continue our conversation just by clicking on them in the Upcoming Guests area of the app Good app
Im so happy about the current state of the CS app Its super straight forward to use and pleasing on the eyes I find that I can browse through profiles faster than I can on the site Beautifully redesigned

I have the app so I stop checking in my computer I didnt have request in a while so I check in my computer and I has a bunch my replay average went from 95 to 20 because the app never refresh the email or send me a notification This app doesnt work

I love couchsurfing I hate this app Pictures dont load and its poorly designed Things that are easy to do on the web browser are difficult or inaccessible on the app I gave it two stars because it does send you notifications right after you receive a message or request which is nice some apps take forever for the notifications to actually notify you Poor functionality
When Im at home I use this to talk to surfers and look at events Its also helpful when Im traveling and need to stay in touch with a host Useful

App is good but with the latest version I stopped getting notifications Tried uninstalling and installing again few days later it doesnt ask for push notifications and it doesnt appear in the Notification Center Couchsurfer
This new version simply isnt as good as the old When you do a search you can no longer filter search by last login important for finding an active couchsurfer More importantly when you go to your inbox you can no longer filter your CS messages sent out by yes maybe no and unanswered requests Instead you have to go through all the requests you have sent out Now they have a very confusing color system as well They show up as green if the person accepts or red if they dont accept Unfortunately pending requests show up as both red and green and there is no color for yellow Furthermore when are we going to be able to CREATE a new photo album Bichos
Please please PLEASE someone do some work on this app I love couchsurfing and love the idea but this app needs some MAJOR tlc 1st You can can only search your current location and not a city you are going to go to in the future 2nd You cant write a review in the app FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
