First of all the app itself while simple is very very cool if you re like me and you sit at a desk all day listening to music from iTunes and have Phillips Hue lights nearby But beyond the app I have to say I am seriously impressed with the support After using the app with no problems for a month or two it suddenly stopped working probably after a Hue bridge update or some OS updates not sure I contacted the developer and to my surprise he wrote back very quickly and we began to e mail back and forth trying to solve the problem I had no idea if the problem was with the app or with the Hue bridge or bulb hardware or the Hue software or an Apple software update or even something in my network configuration that had changed there are many possible points of failure with something like this and after a few rounds of e mails back and forth I think a lesser developer would have just given up and passed the blame on to one of those other possibilities Not Claus He kept in touch and even sent a new version of the app for me to test if I wanted rather than having to wait even longer for the update to be available in the App Store etc Definitely an app and developer worth supporting                     Great app fantastic support lucidhysteria

I love this app and would normally give it 5 stars but now that I mostly use Apple Music which always has album art Cover Lights says it can t find cover art Please fix this in an update soon         Doesn t work with Apple Music Markiem66

I have 13 Philips Hue bulbs in my office and wanted the ability to do EXACTLY what this app does The experience with the app is simple it s easy to setup and it lets you set the cover light positions uniquely for each album cover That s all very cool and it does that very well Here s what I d additionally like which would make this a 5 star app In Preferences I can t rename or renumber my bulbs so I have a post it note at my desk that says light 11 is over there light 6 is over here etc I know EXACTLY how I want my bulbs names and or numbered and there s already UI to display and enable disable bulbs Surely adding editability of names or numbers wouldn t be that hard I d like to be able to set the color that the app goes to on music stop Right now there s a single toggle button off leave the lights AS IS when the music stops and on go to bright white Given the number of bulbs I have in a small area bright white is BLINDING It would be really awesome if you could set the sliders on both the cover default and per song When you play a whole album the lights are static There are specific songs where it would be great to specifically change the mood of the room Going one step further it would be nice to have a generic HSV image when you override so I can say for this SONG I want these colors Lastly you used SQLite instead of plists Had you used plists I could have built all of these features myself by simply editing my plist file Please keep working on this app It s definitely heading in the right direction and can really only get better                 Meets my needs but could be a LOT more Word Buff USA

Does what it says Not bad Not bad at all Simple yet a fun way to spice things up at an intimate smaller party at home Very cool idea Developer I think you are on to something now if you could change that horrible app icon you d really grab peoples attention Seriously though change that hideous app icon                     Interesting for party use strangeday

Updated my review to 5 stars thanks for the option to disable the bright white on iTunes stop Cover Lights is a great iTunes companion When the iTunes track changes my 17 Hue bulbs adjust the lighting to match the album cover Usually iTunes is playing through my AppleTV and to have ambient lighting in sync with the cover art on the big screen is very cool                     Thanks for the update RickH100

I am extremely impressed with this app Simple set up and an easy to use interface Does a fantastic job finding all the colors on the album and setting them right Worth more than the price they are charging                     Impressed Incredibly Clean Easy ch154380

It does what it says it ll do My only omplaint is that properties is a throwback to windows If it s Mac software that should be called Preferences Semantics but it is the Mac App store no the Windows app store It s fun watching the lights change when the songs change                 Nice and Simple Pumasalad

Every song change required me to open the menu at the top before the lights would change from white to the album colors even when the album did not change not very user friendly definitely not worth even 1 99 at this point in their progress     did not work w o manual intervention ktiedt

Blue is white Green is white Only color that works is red and everything is bright no matter how dark the color that is selected Extremely disappointing as these seem like basic things         Not what it should do JDMATCH

I like the change per album cover Subtle Interesting Works well in the background If you don t like the auto selection for the cover you can change it No need for the disco effect here Really enjoy it                     A nice simple way to change the lights Just a guy who can't think of a nickname
