It s one of the best apps you are going to find free on Appstore Gives you the ram average status temperature and almost all the information A CPU Reading will give on a PC Is pretty good for things like gaming editing reproducing video or running many programs at a time I highly recommend this app for user that give an extencive usage to their Macs I will recommend to downoladed if you are not going to be almost always in full screen or if you have a second monitor because once you go to Full Screen the bar will desapear and you ll not see the support unless you have a Second monitor                     Great App 4lex_Gam3r_

As a audio engineer CPU usage is one of the most important things you need to manage when recording or mixing Certian audio plugins can use alot of CPU and this app helps us to choose what to use sometimes using a very CPU intensiive plugin might not be the right choice so you watch CPU LED and then choose an alternative that is suitable I have never had an issue with this app and I like how it shows all threads of the CPU depending on what Mac you have I own 3 different Macs and each with different CPU configurations Xeon 8 core Mac Pro it shows 16 bars one for each thread and Dual core i5 Mac Mini it shows 4 bars for 4 threads and a 15 inch Macbook Pro with an i7 quad core and CPU LED shows all 8 threads this is a great feature but I have to say 16 little Bars on the 8 core Mac Pro forces you to use the more narrow icon sets because it takes up so much space in the toolbar I just wish There were more in app purchasable icon sets Even though there is alot of icon sets I would like to see some for the larger cpu sets like guys with Quad i7 s and Xeon Cpu s Image the 12 core mac pro with 24 bars on the toolbar you would have no room for anything else or other utility add on apps                     Perfect for Pro who need CPU info Music Factory Studios

This app doesn t offer anything that you can t find on the Mac itself but I think it s worth the 2 to have that monitor up top to know where you stand in terms of memory and CPU                     Simple app does what it s supposed to do iNathan

I bought it based on the few reviews but it s obvious that the people reviewing it don t do any intensive work on their computers and just like little fancy LED s because this thing does nothing I have a CPU core display on my DAW and it was pegging more than 50 and this little CPU LED app displayed absolutely nothing It s a useless joke geared to sell you their other add ons Pass on it     Disappointment Andy Kotz/ AKMusic Productions

After buying the basic app I did go ahead and pick up the extra modules I like the look of the indicators in the status line What I am not happy about is the non informative nature of the CPU indicators They do not seem to communicate a sense of the percentage of CPU capacity in use Mine just sit there and look pretty bugt they in no oway animate so I get no feedback on the loading of any particular core Another odd thing is that I have a quad core machine and the display is showing eight indicators I interpret this to mean each indicator represents a hardware thread which I guess in the Intel Core i7 is two h w threads per hardware code I hope we eventually get a free update that will emeliorate this problem As it is today I would NOT recommend this to anyone             Not as responsive as I hoped or as useful douglas_goodall

I have been using this app for about 9 months Most of the time my MBP13 is happily doing very little Occasionly I do tasks which are very intensive The app gives me feel for how hard my machine is working                 Provides a comfort level deroadie

I can t comment about whether it is super accurate or not but it does give me some idea that CPU is usually not overtaxed shows me when something really pushes it usually just briefly but most importantly when something strange is going on Occasionally I ll see a regular rhythm of red spikes or one or more all locked up in red Sometimes but sometimes not my computer well act strangely at the same time being slow locked up some app not responsive background process or even non focused app not responsive It gives me a useful flag to check further Often a restrat fixes it The quick link to activity monitor helps gives more detail Nice free app                     Works w Yosemite no problems Uncle Gum

It is nice to have a small utility that does exactly what it says and doesn t cause any problems I find that I look at it quite often at least 3 4 times per day I would guess It helps me understand when I ve pegged one core but the other are idle and also makes it really easy to see why my Mac has slowed down if they are all red                     Does what it says without complaint bestes-itunes

I can t praise the utility of this app enough I use it all the time it s basically become an indispensible tool that I look at habitually It does exactly what it s advertised to do and it helps in identifying runaway processes in a flash I love it My only concern is that this app ever since upgrading to Lion I think it was Lion it was some time ago has been singlehandedly responsible for slowing down the restart and shutdown processes of my MacBook Pros mid 2010 and Late 2013 Sure it s only by about several seconds but it feels like forever especially with SSDs thrown into the mix Rarely the message CPULed cancelled Restart appears but I haven t had that happen since I upgraded to Mavericks If the shutdown slowdown could someday be remedied then this would get the full 5 stars since it s otherwise a perfect little app for CPU visualization and at one point this issue was never an issue                 Great at What It Does But KNNSpeed

I use this on my 2009 Mac Pro I like to be able to see how hard my machine is working during various tasks Apple s supplied activity monitor and CPU usage bars does this but it s intrusive into my working space CPU LED sits up in the menubar and gives a great visual without getting in your way Useful customization options make this my number one choice for activity monitoring I haven t had any bugs or issues with it I used this on my work machine for over a year before finally installing it at home I highly recommend it I haven t had the issue some describe about it canceling shutdown or restart but as with any app YMMV                     Great little app ckurowic

This app cancels my shut down logs me out and won t let me quit it so i can t uninstall it But probaly not the app but apples constant updating that keeps things a matter of faith with everything OS X             Can t uninstall this app digiscene

After a recent update of CPULed OSX now shows a message during every shutdown stating that CPULed has aborted the shutdown The shutdown continues any way though I would have rated higher but glaring issues like this cut into a higher rating             CPULed causing strange shutdown message ghst_ridr

Such a simple solution without the need for opening Activity Monitor to monitor one s CPU It is so compact and it tells me exactly how much strain I m placing on my computer that I don t think I could install and not feel a little regret It s tiny if you want it to be and just sits in the menu bar being awesome                     Excellent and elegant SolarPrizm

It was nice at first but progressively glitches started happening First the shut down error popped up someone else in the reviews mentioned it happened to them as well Also when trying to look into my activity monitor WOULD NOT SHOW UP WHATSOEVER Couldnt even quit the application had to manually delete it from launchpad Fix the glitches and id be happy to reinstall this or even buy the other version             ehhhhh Bboy/DJ Psychedelic Skely
