Cracked.com for iPad

While I am a huge Cracked fan this app is just awful It crashes almost always When an add pops up it crashes The content is still great unlike what some reviewers have claimed but the amount of bugs in this app is a shame If someone set out to properly fix them itd be great because the content app layout is all good it just doesnt work for more than the length of a single article Come on Cracked Get your crap together        Bad app

Cracked we like your content Its fun its generally well written it keeps us coming back But this app is so pitiful its become insulting In the course of reading one article it froze six times and had to be rebooted and it redirected me to the App Store five times each time advertising the same game You havent updated this app in almost a year Please fix it     Please Im asking politely

Im a long time reader and user of this app But I cant use it anymore The ads in the app redirects to the App Store from the second I open it I cant even read the article titles before being redirected        Redirects constantly

The app now only stays open for about 5 minutes before an ad tries to open covers the whole screen but displays nothing wont go away then crashes the app FIX     Something changed

Cant even finish an article with the App Store popping open every five seconds     Constantly opens App Store

I love Cracked and read at least 23 of the new articles every day This App may be the worst possible way to do so ranking in just worse than wearing a blindfold and asking your dog to read the articles to you Frequent crashes randomly exiting articles back to the front menu and by far the worst very intrusive ads that frequently take you out of the app and into the App Store ruining the reading experience     Disgrace to the name

The app hasnt updated in a couple of MONTHS I give up Fire whoever is responsible for this fiasco of an app and start over Apple shouldnt even allow this app in its App Store     Broken app

And I dont know why but I literally wont even touch the screen and miraculously an ad will open up my App Store and try and get me to buy it or download it I cant even read an article Hardly a sentence before it opens up another one Fix it please     Ads are the devil

I love Cracked and Ive never had problems with lag time or anything elseuntil today Whats with the ads They pop up and then when you X them out you have to scroll back through the article Really disrupts the flow of reading And theyre insistent Just keep interrupting me with the same Toyota ad Not buying a Toyota because of it I already buy the occasional t shirt and book that Cracked is shilling Im going with the idea that this is some social experiment to see how loyal those of us addicted to trivial information presented in a snarky way will remain hooked on CrackEd              Its probably some sort of social experiment

I have been painfully using this app loyalty for years in the deluded hope they would eventually update it A short list of some of its problems Gifs work in articlessome of the time Gifs NEVER work in photoplasty Crashes my iPad unless I close all other apps even then it will crash randomly just for fun Hangs and doesnt scroll then shoots you to the bottom of the page and you cant scroll back up Final straw its using 17G No wonder my iPad is running out of storage Thats more than all my pictures books and messages combined This isnt a graphics intense game and its the biggest thing on my iPad After reading through the comments I see Im not the only one with these problems so I can only assume Cracked doesnt care or actually want people to use their app Maybe someone should write an article about Apps that basically give their users the equivalent of the middle finger by not updating and fixing their buggy behemoth steamy pile of an app     Favorite worst app EVER

Freezes the iPad almost every time I open the app Without touching my screen it will open up the App Store like a popup ad to suggest I purchase any number of apps     Freezes better than Frozone

I hate how it automatically goes to the App Store even when I do not press an ad It makes me feel like this is adware and makes me like cracked way less than I would if they had not used sneaky methods to get ad revenue Also the app is just plain glitchy and bad Pls try again     Forced App Store ads

I really like the Cracked website and think they write some really good content This app is close to useless The latest problem for me is while viewing an article It takes me out to the App Store for some other random game At first I thought it might be me inadvertently touching the screen but I kept my hands off and 30 seconds later it jumped to the App Store I know they need to monetize their content but if you cant enjoy the content then whats the point Ill stick with the website until they get this app sorted     Buggy money grab

I used to read the articles on my phone and im shocked at how many ads pop up during one article on the iPad Seriously thats just ludicrous not even worth having the app it maddening enough to drive away the most loyal fans     The relentless and intrusive ads are maddening

Please fix your app guys Seriously I can rarely get it to work for more than 5 minutes        Crashes a lot

Cracked is a great web site but the iPod app does not do it justice Slim pickings compared to Adroid app I cannot sign in to update Favorites Keep trying        Needs Work

I continued to use this app through the entire period of time when it would crash sporadically every few minutes After the last update it continues to crash but now also redirects to the app store every few seconds This is flagrantly ridiculous        Somehow Worse Than Before

Love the content The iPhone app is great The iPad app is miserable because suggested appsads that open in the App Store hijack every article Ive tried to read on the iPad app within 30 seconds of opening an article After I close the App Store another App Store suggested appad hijacks the app within 5 seconds repeat this over over which renders the iPad Cracked app absolutely useless for articles I dont recall this happening in photoplasty but the gifs dont work so thats a bust most of the time too        iPad app hijacked by ads ALL THE TIME

I wish I could get through one article without it locking up     Fix it

This app is great When it doesnt freeze fail to load gifs crash or my favorite constantly interrupt your reading pleasure with advertisements Not once or twice mind you I decided to write this review after having the same add pushed in my face for the FIFTH TIME while reading ONE article Please Cracked I love you but we cant go on like this     Love Cracked HATE their app

Ive loved Cracked for years Fantastic website entertaining edifying amusing articles columns etc I love Photoplasty If the app were as brilliant as the website Id be in paradise Alas its not It quits working and shuts down randomly I cant watch videos through the app The Photoplasty with gifs doesnt work The article listed on the far right of the main screen never opens up Frustrating        I love Cracked I hate the app

Enjoy scrolling halfway through an article to find that the scroll has locked and wont budge This us the app for you Not satisfied to merely crash the app locks your iPad up too for good measure yay     Good content terrible app

I love Cracked the website But as many other reviewers have said This app simply doesnt work No its not version dependent its not device dependent it just doesnt work It crashes it stops responding it doesnt load GIF files or videos But there is good news their WEBSITE works just fine So until this app gets fixed go enjoy everything cracked has to offer this app certainly wont help you do that     Just Use Safari Broken App

Pay you writers and editors more fire your app development team You might as well not have an app Tell everyone just go to web page It would be less of a hassle than using the app     Fire your app developer

I really enjoy the content but its nearly impossible to use the iPad app without it constantly automatically opening the App Store to try to get you to buy something Annoying Then half the time it crashes when you try to get back to the app        Frustrating

Even the few poorly written articles make me chuckle Their best is among the best and most entertaining on the web Please make your app match the quality of your work Just upgraded my iPad from 1st gen to Air Rushed to download your app so the crashes would stop Gone from 90 crash to 80 Need a permanent setting for larger font Youll get there and I will wait Also suggestionopen a political section and make it like a gladiator wing of the site Update Still give the content a solid A but the app is frustrating Locks up constantly Not overly user friendly Seems to have problems with video and photos Not the easiest to navigate Shouldnt be having these problems with the basics Update to the update 6 months later Unsolicited advice Pay the money to get your app fixed You have great content in a seriously crappy app which results in bad execution This is easy stuff but your current developer is unable to carry the load Time to trade up before you lose customers and harm your rep     Content is awesome You need to hire a world class company to fix your app

Every single time Full ad that crashes the app and pop up in the middle of me reading something I have to cheat a little by keeping a finger on the screen and scrolling slightly to keep the stupid ads from causing a crash At least give me an option to pay to remove them     Itd be great if the ads didnt crash the app

If you want to read a Cracked article and love constant redirects to the App Store to buy Game of War or if you want an app that doesnt work at all then look no further You will never get an article to open without freezing or photoplasty for that matter My personal favorite is when I am in the middle of an article when its about to get good and I get a random pop up that crashes the app and will not open after that So if you like Cracked but only want to read a paragraph a day then get this app now     Redirects and Crashes

Certainly better than using Safari to read Cracked on the web The popup ads in Safari make Cracked impossible to enjoy Unfortunately this app has severe memory issues and it either doesnt load the articles for whatever reason and then later does or it occasionally stops working and needs to be removed completely and reinstalled Quite frankly Adblocker loads the Cracked website the best        Workswhen it works

I love cracked but this app is terrible It only loads maybe half the time without crashing and it has ads which without you clicking on them close out of the app and take you to the app store This happens about twice per article you try and read Also the photoplasty on the website started using GIFs long ago but this app doesnt show you them Its just horrible Dont download it its much easier to use a web browser and go to the website Cracked really dropped the ball here     Slow buggy constant ads

Cracked might have some funny articles and lists but dont try to read them from this app It constantly locks the story you are reading to switch you to the App Store and show you some ad for a free to play trash game Then when you switch back it still wont work Complete trash     Ad forwarding garbage

I love Crackeds content and it seems fine on my iPhone but freezes up my whole iPad It used to happen rarely but now its unusable I have iPad Air        Great app but it freezes constantly now

Since the most recent update this app crashes like no other I cant view gifs and scrolling through an article takes 10 minutes because the app freezes     freezes and crashes

What the hell Cracked I love your site but this app is hit or miss Sometimes it works no problem Other times I constantly get ads popping up when I never touched them or get redirected to the app store when there wasnt even an ad being shown If I try to close an ad half the time it just crashes the whole app Im writing this review after having an ad pop up three times in a row after closing it and not even touching my screen I close the ad 2 seconds later its back I close the ad and set my iPad down and 2 seconds later the ad is back up and Im not even touching my iPad At this rate youre better off just going to their site from your browser app This app will frustrate you no matter how loyal of a fan you are        Long time reader first time review writer

Please if you do nothing else like a much needed update to get rid of all the bugs get rid of the MapQuest ads They either endlessly create popup ads throw up a blank window that freezes the app andor crash the app I love Cracked and the former ease of this app but this is getting redonkulous        not worth it anymore

I love cracked articles but having the ads pop up without touching anything to the App Store is unbelievably frustrating When I try to go back to the app most of the time the app opens to the home page taking me out of the article Please fix this     Frustrated reader

Sadly Im giving this app 2 stars 5 stars for content minus 1 star for performance minus 2 stars for the infuriatingly intrusive ads Performance of the app is far superior to previous versions Never the less issues still remain with GIFs not working videos failing to load and the occasional but far less frequent crashes Good work on the improvements so far but youve got a ways to go You can do it We believe in you Now for the ads Why I understand the need to make money off the app especially since its free Thank you Cracked However I would gladly pay for an adfree version Understandably every article comes equipped with its very own bannerad accessories Fine no problem However when the app automatically closes and directs you to the App Store Seems a little too desperate Rarely can I enjoy uninterrupted reading pleasure for one whole article I usually get hit with the App Store redirect at least once per page Sometimes I cant get through a single paragraph without two or sometimes three redirects to the App Store At this point I want to smash my iPad against the wall go out and buy a new iPad and immediately download the Cracked app That is how much I would be willing to pay for an adfree version The cost of dozens of iPads smashed in adinduced madness Thanks dear Cracked people Slightly hyperbolic statement        App Runs on Loyalty and Patience

Every 30 seconds to 1 minute this app exits you out of Cracked and actually opens your App Store to showcase what I assume is a sponsors app they want you to download Its incredibly frustrating and Im hoping its just a glitch of some sort They cant possibly expect people to enjoy this app otherwise Doesnt occur on my iPhone or my iPads browser Just the iPad app     Not Worth the Download

If youre going to run ads be upfront about it Randomly bouncing over to the App Store to the Draft Kings page is beyond annoying     Buggy

Hasnt been updated in literally nearly a year Photoplasty that involve gifs simply dont workplay Audio when viewing videos drifts in and out of sync making most videos all but unwatchable unless youre a fan of ancient Godzillastyle dubbing And finally ads are ridiculous Simply viewing photoplasty pulls ads that dont even popup but just take you straight out of the app at any given moment without even the slightest indication that its about to happen Really sad seeing as how I am a fan of Cracked but being unable to access nearly half of their media through their own provided app is pretty weak     Washed up
