This is a terrible app It is possible that a photo of a bar code taken in a light box with the iPhone on a tripod might scan correctly but I am not going to devote the time to discover that Otherwise it does not do what it purports to do     Useless

Almost everything that I used it on worked fine Just dont get too close                 It works pretty well

The 3G cannot focus close enough to get a bar code They should have noted that it only works well with the 3GS     Doesnt work with my 3G

Did not expect this to work but it does just what it says Gave me a good WOW moment Very cool                 Works awesome

So far everything Ive scanned has been accuratly translated from the barcode to what seems to be the correct number Too bad it doesnt look up these numbers on the Internet Pretty useless this way           Accurate scanning no titles

At first like other reviewers below I could not get this app to successfully scan any codes Then I tried taking the picture in portrait rather than landscape and all of a sudden barcodes that wouldnt register were now scanning just fine I suspect for most like me the rectangular shape of a UPC code suggests the photo should be done with the iPhone turned sideways Not so This software seems to only register when you shoot the code with the phone in a vertical orientation My suggestion to the developer add some documentationa short tutorial or just a simple prompt of some sort I was just about to delete this app and leave another negative review until I stumbled upon the problem Since then every code that Ive tried has scanned just fine           Capture in portrait Landscape wont work

Tried different barcodes and it would not read any of them     Did not work

For starters when it doesnt recognize something the scan just goes poof No explanation or a brief popup that lasts 22 nanoseconds That behavior along makes it worthless Think the scan needs to be rotated Good luck with that feature I had no luck with it Then theres the speed or lack thereof Even when the app does work and that is only in the best of conditions it would be MUCH faster to just type in the numerals below the barcode Much faster     Worthless yes even with a 3GS

Way better than pic 2 shop Dont need to put the code in a specific spot Just shoot and view your product Hurrah              Best for 3gs

People who say this doesnt work obviously have problems taking good photos of the barcode Works every time for me Awesome app                 Works well

It recognized ALL of my electronic stuffWii GH 32 LCD etcbut regular household items were not being recognized              Its a good start

When I needed it it didnt search jack     Didnt work

This app really does what it says I got 1010 scans MUST HAVE A iPhone 3gs for it to work                 Works Great

Tried many different applications for 2 days None was read     Barcode App

It would be so bad if it didnt work Instead it scans some of the time and retrieves false info when it does scan like childrens book when youre holding an r rated movie     Worse than useless

I downloaded this app to scan barcodes from books and check prices on Amazon The app will scan the barcode but it does not pull up a book title pricing guide or any other information from Amazon I am left with a useless list of numbers I tried to email Cyclops customer support but the email address is invalid Do NOT waste your money on this app One star rating because the review would not accept zero stars     Cyclops app does not work

I bought the app 1 It did not work on my Verizon iPhone I told Deep Prose in two emails Heshe finally admitted that it wouldnt work with Verizon iPhone BUT that is NOT what the 143v comment says HENCE the update Does it NOW work with the 426 Verizon iPhone Now they want me to SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR to get the updated version Crap RedLaser is better anyway     Terrible Support

This is so cool It works every time The prices are a little off but other than that Great app The future is here        Awesome

Cyclops recognized most of the items I scanned even round items Making sure that the photo has good contrast and no shadows seemed to help insure a good scan              It works pretty well with my 3GS

Ive tried to use it many times but it just wont work for me Its frustrating and disappointing Over the last five months of having this app its only scanned a Johnson Johnson baby wash Thats it Im way too patient at times Someone suggested using it on WiFi only if its avail if not Im trashing this app     Doesnt Work

Bought this while in a bookstore scanned in 3 titles up close with the 3G S all came up 100 then read reviews online Bought the travel book with the best ratings Cool              Worked perfect first time

Takes forever to finally read a bar code When it does it doesnt return any information Supposedly I was going to be able to click through to see the item on Amazon I need this feature I need to be able to get the pure url for the page on Amazon Id pay 100 for an app that does what yours claims it can do Fix your app and youre sitting on a goldmine of a niche market     I want my dollar back

But does little else waste of time and energy     Does read bar codes

Just tried and it worked great on a 3gs              Seems fine

Scans fine in portrait but occasionaly pulls wrong data and frequently crashes if scanned list becomes too long Finally reaches the point when the app will no longer open     Crashes

Had it for a month and has never worked I have actually tried popular items too like lost season 3 and modern warfare 2 Wont even read numbers or save a pic for later use Basically a rip off     Never works

It works as long as you dont get too close Just do it like in the example they give you Simple as that                 You cant get too close

I have about 100 apps and have never been interested in posting a review This app pushed me over the edge It is completely worthless Not only is it unattractive in its design it is slow to respond crashes oh and by the way dosent work     I want to poke this apps eye out

Good app but the icon is terrible Putting a border on it would make it much more attactive on the iPhone I actually deleted it because it looked nonelegant on my screen           Good app

Accurate barcode reading and neat layout You have to try it and compare it to others to see for yourself the difference Personally I compared it to Redlaser and it clearly more accurate           Accurate

It works part of the time It correctly identified some books and a box of crackers but not pop tarts Its good for a 10 and free app Its better than red laser           Works part of the time

In normal lighting conditions if youre able to hold your hand steady enough to get a clear picture this piece of software works exellently at identifying the product from the barcode Sweet app     Works extremely well

Dont even bother using this on the 3G since the camera wont focus on anything close up enough to get a clean shot of a bar code I guess this only works on the 3GS     Doesnt work with 3G camera
