My almost3yearold little boy LOVES this app It feels more like a console game than a puzzle app but the basic game play involves plugging sea animals into their empty puzzle spots Its the framework thats so surprisingly engaging though a baby puffer fish shes SO cute my toddler repeats with the voiceover every time is looking for other little baby sea creatures to play with and arrows let you explore the sea at different depths while searching for a particular set of creatures each round The female voiceover itself has a pronounced accent but this turns out to be more endearing than problematic for little ears still learning English words and theres some jumbled overlap when more than one voiceover activates at once it would be helpful to have only one at a time One feature thats both random and adorable is what the baby puffer fish says when you touch her midgame quotes from William Shakespeare George Bernard Shaw and the like Its not on toddler level to be sure but its also rather lovely that actual art and wisdom are included in the mix and no complaints from my little boy who just likes to listen to Dolo the baby puffer fish I only dont give it 5 stars because the puzzles shapes can be a little on the small side and the shape of the sea snail is confusingly similar to the shape of an octopus One of my toddlers top favorite apps
