Finding my Shine wasn t quite as easy as it has been for others First it was my fault for putting it in the original 5 year old rubber bracelet which has stiffened and stretched over time I don t know what I was thinking because that s how I lost the Shine in my house a couple of years ago The free app I had used then is no longer available I noticed the Shine missing while grocery shopping retraced my steps left my name numberand description of the device at the service counter Then I swallowed my cheapness and purchased this app I retraced my steps again and the Shine showed up but I never got any more than a weak signal Got in the car and Bingo The signal jumped So this app or the wi fi or bluetooth or whatever has quite a range I had picked up the signal from my car while inside the supermarket I searched front seat and floor with no success Eventually discovered on the floor behind the driver s seat I have an Apple Watch which does what the Shine does and more but frankly I m fond of the design the sleep tracker and the several months batter life I can t say I would purchase a replacement if it were really gone forever but as long as I have it I ll keep wearing it every night and day I wish either the app or the Shine would make a noise That would make it a whole lot easier Still gets five stars because it works and lots of others don t                     Best Bluetooth Tracker Osborne01

I realized I d lost my Shine in a Steinmart after an afternoon of trying on dresses After an hour of scouring the floor and the changing rooms I finally conceded defeat and went home I was so upset Then I got the great idea to look for a locator app and I found this app BEST five bucks I ever spent I went back to Steinmart and used the app not knowing how it works Helpful info NO you don t need to have this app before you lose your device It will show you all Bluetooth devices Once you see your device it will show up as Shine then you just walk around until the signal gets stronger the lower the number the stronger the signal A lot of the time it says no signal but that s because you re far from it You need to be within a yard or two to get the medium signal and you don t have to wait 20 seconds each time Once the device shows up on the list it s just a matter of tracking it down and it s pretty much real time Where was it Between the slip outer shell of a dress I d tried on and had patted down in my search It was in a fold of the dress and because of the magnet I have on it was sticking to the bar of the go back rack it was hanging on It would have NEVER been found Someone most likely would have bought the dress and thought it was a security device                     Get this ever AFTER you lose it ShellsBells66

Saved me the replacement cost I d almost given up searching Took a bit of work to get the signal necessary to repeatedly sync through Misfit force close the Misfit app forget the device in BT settings and perform the search After the third cycle the signal appeared I was able to locate my Flash Oddly the app picked up the signal more strongly from another non Misfit BT device a Lumo Lift                 Found my Flash c5nest

I never write app reviews but I had to for this one It works great I lost my Misfit Shine2 and couldn t find it anywhere in the house After downloading this app I was able to track it down to a particular area in the house and by moving my iPad up and down in that area I found my quarter sized device buried under some things in a basic on top of a shelf Well worth 3 99                     Awesome App MsFitz12

Apparently the glowing reviews are bogus In testing this app with a Misfit Shine I found it to not perform as advertised The tracker indicates the proximity of your device in three ways by use of minus numbers supposed indicating Blue Tooth strength the use of words such as medium or strong and through use of a graph again indicating the same as the other two redundant proximity methods By holding my phone on top of the Misfit the app show a strong reading Hurray But by moving it only 12 inches away that reading drops to medium At 30 feet with an unobstructed view it cannot find any signal at all All this with a full charged phone and a brad new battery in the Misfit It would seem that the only thing this app can find is you wallet     Save your money driftless in WI

Follow the ultra simple instructions right on screen I used both my ipad and my iphone leaving each in a room for at least 20 seconds per instructions I went through the whole house It found my FitBit right in the charger where I knew it was Finally in the kitchen the iphone found it somewhere So I started moving both the iphone and ipad to various places to triangulate by the strongest signal Ultimately the was the Shine stuck to the underside of a black cast iron trivet no wonder we couldn t find it Thanks                     It DOES Work Even for FitBit dtaylor2

I have only had my Misfit Shine a week and it has fell out of the wrist strap twice I used this app to find it both times The directions are poorly written and it is hard to know if the app is actually looking for device but it definitely works It has saved me 69 00 twice Highly recommend                 Very Valuable App Someonewhowantstospeak
