Good basic functionality but missing features Caldwell has pictures group size finder etc There are two kinds of Chrony owners those that have shot their chronograph and those that will someday If I join the first group I ll get a different one             Good but not competitive rkhyp1

I ve used this app to chronograph pistol and rifle loads works great esp when using the iPad app and Bluetooth                     Works great with Bluetooth for pistol and rifle JTfam

This app works exactly as intended and it is nice to have nearly unlimited shot data in my pocket at all times to reference wherever I go and whenever I want If I have nothing else on me I will always have my phone Plus It really beats having to go through the shots and manually write them down The various data calculations it produces makes determining load effectiveness fun and easy and it will save you hours of calculating What I would change or add to the app 1 Allow the user to group shot data sets by gun caliber load type etc This would be a huge improvement as currently there is no way to digitally organize the data which is needed for a completely independent digital data source 2 Allow user to undelete a shot or manually add a shot velocity 3 Allow the user to scroll through data sets by swiping across the screen rather than going back to the menu and clicking the next data set No big deal just a small convenience improvement That being said these are some small issues and I am still rating it 5 stars This current chrono setup is very easy and was not all that expensive Great value                     Does what it should perfectly but needs a little more Bhdnjgdgh

I upgraded my iPhone to IOS10 on the day it was released only to find that this app no longer worked I contacted Competition Electronics on September 14 They had an update ready by the 16th and it was delivered today the 19th The Digital Link app works exactly as advertised and CE s customer support is stellar                     App works as designed great support jcuccia

I don t write many reviews This is a well functioning and thoughtfully designed app It s well rounded to with functionality in the right places including exporting options One thing I would like to see is the ability to save specific rounds in a customized preset list The app currently lets you duplicate for additional strings but a saved preset would be great for shooting on different days and quick recall instead of hunting pecking Great Job                     Exceeded Expectations LIVE player

Nice app works well Couple recommendations to enhance the app First allow the screen to rotate to either axis Second add some additional fields in the list Bullet type bullet manufacturer powder type and number of grains of powder used primer type brass type OAL gun description Or just make an option for user to create additional fields Great job keep up the good work                 Very good app rottnchi

I have heard for years about chronographs being so cantankerous However the Competition Electronics Pro Chrono has proven to be very easy to use and very reliable What could make this better This great app to interface it with my iPhone It has worked amazingly well with the optional Bluetooth Digital Link adapter I also bought This was the entire reason I opted to buy these units and they did not let me down The app has been very easy to use and very easy to read at the range thanks to some smart screen color options The available voice reading the velocities has also proven to be useful in bright sunlight Getting the data out has numerous options including text messaging and email which is made sharing them and getting them back to the computer quite simple Something as simple as being able to rotate the phone to either enlarge the last shot velocity in landscape or see the entire shot string in upright portrait is exactly the kind of intelligent choice I would expect of the merging software developers and actual users The development team has created a really impressive addition to Competition Electronics product and I can recommend the combination of their hardware and this software highly Great job                     Improves an already great product MNinAZ

UPDATE 3 Jan 2016 Won t SAVE the decimal point for bullet weight in grains for new shot string iPhone 6 Thank you for adding a decimal but it won t save after I ve entered 14 66 it only saves as 14 Please alow SAVING decimal point in bullet weight Decimal point is missing after saving I was able to put 14 3 and 14 66 grains But it only saved 14 Please fix asap I don t want to rate yet but I have too bummer I guess I will give two stars until this is fixed then 5 stars UPDATE I left a voicemail at competition electronics about this issue for air gun pellet grains and a very nice gentleman called me back Maybe I was a little too hasty with the two stars I never wanted to rate it then anyway Anyways he basically said that with bullet weight grains in the fractions with Firearms were not either common or just weren t I don t shoot I firearm so I don t know but I basically told him that air gun Pellets are most commonly fractional and they are see Pyramyd Air website I also mentioned that firearm owners who make their own custom ammo rounds and want to test them could very well create fractional firearm bullets these people need to chrony them to test their creations for absolute FPE etc I sincerely believe he understood that a small programming change to the mathematical calculator or to the key pad to add at least two decimal places would be a good idea and not exclude the whole air gun community or the custom ammunition community He said that he would tell the programmers and now I am anxiously awaiting an update to this awesome application I think 3 stars is definitely in order at this point and as I said before I think I m going to give it 5 stars after the update Cheers UPDATE 2 July Apparently Competition Electronics has a lot on their plate at the moment 7 15 2015 Earlier in this review I assured the CUSTOM GRAIN AMMUNITION LOAD and the FIELD TARGET ASSOCIATION and the PELLET GUN or PELLET RIFLE and or PAINT BALL Crowd that CE otherwise known as COMPETITION ELECTRONICS would update this app for custom grains or should I say bullet weight with a decimal point in the keyboard or keypad and a slight programming change in the applications code to calculate the exact FPE or foot pound energy I sincerely believed CE so I m a bit baffled the update did not make it into this iteration or version Suffice to say they must have much on their plate however it s a little baffling because on the box of the digital pro chronograph it specifically mentioned that this chrony was used in a MAJOR international field target competition as their official chronograph I believe Anyways it s a bit confusing to me And I m not sure if I should feel neglected or cut them some slack I really want to cut them some slack it s summer for goodness sake and maybe many of their crew is on vacation or maybe it s a non issue because of the light weight of pellets but what about the true firearms crowd who create custom rifle rounds with black powder to this I can only speculate HONESTLY I really just don t know I AM NEW TO PELLET GUNS so I can t really say that I really know what I m talking about but I feel sure that they must be missing a few important target demographics I E the custom ammunition crowd and the pellet gun crowd What I do know is that PYRAMYD AIR has almost a hundred if not more varieties of pellets and many many of them are not in the whole number of grains but instead they are for example in 14 66 grains and 14 3 grains and 18 1 grains and 21 7 grains etcetera etc Which it would seem important but not necessarily so So my fellow chronographers we are in a state of confusion at the moment chime in and check back frequently to see more updates in this saga and please let me know if I m out of line for calling CE out on this I d be interested to know Honestly I m just looking for the real deal and want competition electronics to be the industry leaders they are and continue to be in the new Bluetooth technology age sure I m giving them a push but honestly it s because I like them and don t want to see them replaced Companies come and go in this new technology era and I ve invested in them and I just want to see them overcome the competition after all they are competition electronics and they rock in chronographs let s help them together chime in and offer your opinions PLEASE Also the Biometric pressure has the decimal point so what gives Thank you and be sure to tell competition electronics that you fully support their mission as well If I m wrong I will quickly and wholeheartedly admit it but more importantly I will write up a glowing review to attest to their OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SUPPORT Please help clarify Thank you             Won t save the decimal for bullet weight in grains Please correct this issue.
