Environmental Working Group's Dirty Dozen application gives you a handy guide to the fruits and vegetables with the most and least pesticide residue. When your budget is tight or organic s not available, you ...
I loved the previous version but I just updated to the new version today and now the app wont open           Update messed up the app
Thank you for creating such a helpful guide to buying the important organic foods Much appreciated                 Very helpful
This app was designed to be a shopping resource to take to the store nothing more For that purpose it does its job The EWG has tons of information and states their methodology on their website anyone wanting to know that info can click the little EWG button at the bottom of the app screen then follow the link to their website It doesnt take you directly to the methodology page but its not hard to find once you get there                 Great resource
I can never remember what the cleandirty fruits and veggies are I have to balance my health concerns with the cost of produce why are some organic items five times the cost per pound of the regular option that is just ridiculous This app along with my EWG dirty dozen shopping list pad and the dirty dozen website all help keep me straight on what I can buy nonorganic the clean fifteen and what I need to spend the extra money on to get organic the dirty dozen                 I love this app
Please come out with a guide for Canadian produce              Very helpful
Very helpful app but also upside down for me with orientation locked              Upside down
I am a very health conscience person so this app goes with me every time I go to the store                 Love it
Bad     Bad
boring     Gccgy
Thank you This is so helpful at farmers market and grocery store Well washed and organic doesnt mean safe                 We need the REAL info
The problem with their app and many others is on Apples side Im sure the developer will fix the new version soon                 Chill out
Love this app but would love to see something similar with seafood What to buy from which region Farmed vs wild caught endangered mercury levels etc                 Suggested addition
The prior display version was much more ergonomic convenient font size compact and efficient no excessive scrolling needed to navigate the lists Your typical user wants to do a quick lookup while shopping the grocery aisles Having to scroll through large font and a large picture of each item apple banana is very annoying Consider also that for some of us using a cellphone iPhone 5 or 6 the overall display is simply too big And what purpose is served by those large pictures of common foods For the user who might want larger font could you make that a selectable option           Display no longer ergonomic
While the application works well Im not convinced a bookmark in my web browser would be any less effective              Does what it claims to
Good concept but would be more useful if there was a search option for a particular food or the ability to sort the list alphabetically Also be careful of clicking links in the app or it gets stuck in the browser and you cant get back to the list           Good idea needs improvement
Boring but update is better than the last version The substance of the app is important and necessary But this is 2013 abd people including me have the attention span of knats Substance alone does not fly Why not get some young volunteers to redesign your app to make it sexy Yes sexy If you want to influence the world with this incredibly needed information take your app up a notch in style If you wont do it pass it on to someone who can Also it could be expanded in so many ways Just review your many reviewer comments I mean the wellmeaning ones This app could be the most important thing the Environmental Working Group does in terms of public outreach Instead it is mediocre at best Sorry to be blunt Im trying to get someones attention Its frustrating that this information is presented in such an uncreative bland visually unstimulating and somewhat confusing manner 5 stars for good intentions Dont get me started on the EWGs sunscreen buyers app Its a freaking disaster compared to this even Sex it up so that more people can and will use this app Or do you want to make it so inaccessible that few will get the information                 Could be so much more
This app nor the EWG website is not very iPad functional in that it will not rotate or magnify which is nice if your eyesight is not the best In addition there is no information on the specific chemicals or amount found in the various foods I suppose the worst to best list is handy for quick reference and that may be its main intent but if they went to all that work of testing why isnt the data accessible Facts without documentation is fiction and why is it so hard to enter the star rating hmmm maybe my iPad is barometric sensitive And with over 1100 downloads you would think there would be at least one rating so I guess that doesnt work either           EWG Dirty Dozen Too Condensed
I agree with the others here I love having access to this important information but this app doesnt actually do anything except provide a list A bookmark to EWGs web page would do the same thing It would be great to see a searchable more interactive version of this app Of course that requires funding        Great idea but boring
This is normally a great app to use but with todays update 32715 its upside down LOL              Upside down with latest update
Does what it says Very helpful resource when shopping                 Helpful
This app does exactly what it advertisesgive you a list of the most and leastlikely fruits and vegetables to be treated with pesticides I like it because it gives you a guideline on what to buy organic rather than feeling like you should buy EVERYTHING organic which just doesnt fit into most peoples budget              Educational
The new update has several glaring errors The full list is not consistent with the short list There are different items in different orders Also there is a glaring typo sweat peas rather than sweet peas Please fix and reissue        Mistakes in update
EWG make more or add more PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a SkinDeep app                 Fantastic need MORE
Excellent app exactly what I was looking for from the foremost authority on pesticides and organic produce Simple and to the point                 perfect
i have deleted and relaoded but it is alway blank on my phone and pad     empty app
I always use this when I hit the local markets Helps me save money when I cant always buy organic                 Great app surprising info
All good the lists look great maybe edit the text on the homepage to be a little less technical language                 Super important info
The app is upside down on my iPhone 5 Can you fix it please        The app is upside down
EWG is such a great website so much info why the lame app cmon put more into it QR and barcode reading and access to product info and reviews were using iphones and ipads get a clue Nov 6 2013     these two lists hardly warrant an app
We need the 2015 list update please              Update needed
It was an Apple bug that affected several apps and is now fixed Just delete and reinstall the app Works great again                 2012 update is now fixed
This app is a nice and easy guide that simply lists the dirty dozen and the clean fifteen It does provide a limited amount of info on the pesticide study with a list of references and some links to their website for more info It is NOT an indepth guide to each and every pesticide and why its bad ect Just a nicely built smooth working FREE app I liked the app so much that within 2 min of opening it I ended up donating and ordering the physical version of the guide which includes a shoppers quick reference Yay                 Excellent Quick Reference
And they update the results every yeargreat for the healthy shopper                 Great reference tool
Wonderful app                 Thank you
I always forget which ones i must buy at farmers market and which are ok at grocery store This is a must for me                 Take it shopping
The app shows as upside down     Upside down Boy you turn me inside out
This is great information with a pretty darn poor user interface First please somehow include pesticide as a keyword when searching for it on App store or on my phone Youll get a lot more users Id bet Second please for Gods sake however you choose to believe in himheritor not allow the list to be sorted alphabetically Most people using this on mobile devices are using it in a store to look up a particular fruitvegetable Looking through the whole list for it is not fun           Alphabetical sorting please
Its very inconvenient to read when youre shopping Please fix           UPSIDE DOWN
Awesome i love it                 Wow what a fantastic app
Amazing app Very useful                 Amazing
Please add GMO genetically modified products Otherwise a good app to have           Nice App
Im so pleased to have this resource right on my phone No more wondering or worrying if Im buying the right or wrong thing                 Fantastic and convenient
Not much to say it does what it promises and is helpful beyond belief Thanks                 Useful practical knowledge
Just want you to know that if you open the updated version in iPhone with the phones portrait orientation lock on The app is upside down Also the size of the font is too huge I liked being able to see almost the whole list at a glance before Now a lot of scrolling for no good reason Id guess youve had feedback saying the other previous text was too small But you can expand that on a phone Cant shrink this Just my 2           For the Developers
I can never remember the dirty dozen when Im grocery shopping so this is perfect Thanks                 So handy
I liked this app before great info after update it will not launch           Liked b4 crashes with update
Great                 thanks
This is great Now i dont need to go to a web site to check this list any more thanks                 How convenient
A great app with priceless information about conventionallygrown produce safety Be informed so you can make wise decisions while shopping in the grocers produce aisle App working fine on iPhone 5                 A must have app for critical information
Make the skin deep cosmetics guide into an app                 Skin Deep
