This app is really fine It will delete virtually all of the critical materials that you want to delete The support is excellent When you email the company it resonds quickly and helpfully The complaint about the download problem is bogus The download is controlled by the App Store not the developers The remark about using CCleaner to solve problems is also a big problem Anyone who goes online to check out this app will discover that it will share info about your drive and its contents admitted by the developer of CCleaner to increase income to merchants as does Google and others It also has a major back door issue also demonstrated by several security companies This is public knowledge and not my imagination Disk Aid is totally compatible with High Sierra is quick and efficient If you do not have it buy it A wonderful utility for all Mac users                     Don t get ditracted by negative reviews Great Southern Bear🐻

I continued testing this for several months and concluded that it does miss many files I then use CCleaner to get files that were missed The app is run as root so there should be no reason for cookies to be left behind The data remains in cache in different directories for safari and firefox and in safari i have to delete objects directly through terminal then using sqlite3 to delete items left behind in databases Using latex MacOS and all up to date     Security and privacy is binary all or nothing this is nothing TinmanJonDoe

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to buy this application After purchasing it and installing it I can tell you tha it is hands down top quality It is both easy to use and gives you an in depth understanding of where your files are and more importantly how space is being used on your hard drive I have a MacBook Pro that came with a solid state 256 GB hard drive Because using up space comes at a premium for me I needed something to quickly find the files that we re hogging up valuable space on my system This application does that quickly and very well Although I haven t recovered all the space it s showing me due to my own time constraints it is mind boggling how many duplicate files large video files and other larger files that are stored on my system without me even knowing about it Now I can easily and quickly archive to an external drive and or remove them and be on my way I would definitely recommend this app for anyone that needs to manage their hard drive and space It also comes with an app UnInstaller a privacy guard and many other features They re all listed on the developers page Great buy                     Wow Nice app Paramedia

Hepled me clear about 25 gb of disk space off my drive after using Apple s built in tools I bought it for 2 reasons First to elminate duplicates from the disk image my son made on portable 1tb drive My son bought a new laptop after he graduated college and copied EVERYTHING from his old laptop to my protable drive Looking at the drive I noticed he was really sloppy in organizing his folders with lots of duplicates here and there but no folder looked like it had a complete set of files Disk Aid cleaned it up fast I also want to mention that my portable drive is formatted in ExFat since I use it for windows and mac Disk aid had not problem with it All of the work was done on the portable drive 2nd reason is I didnt seem to have as much free space on my mac drive as I thought I should Disk aid s disk view feature and disk clean feature helped clean up my drive much better than apple s tools Disk aid is a great tool                 Nice tool DonTheDude

I tried many apps before to recovery HD space or to identify double archives Sometimes I was not sure if it was an essential file or not Disk Aid unify many tasks and always ask before erasing any archive You can also make a backup with Time Machine just before erasing or see them in Finder In my first day of use I ve already freed about one Gigabyte even using other Apps before and besides that could identify that I had only half of my RAM memory Probably one of them is not working 2x2Gb But now I am sure that the problem is NOT only because the HD free space For a amateur it facilitates a lot diagnosing problems that made my MacBook so slow I do not use to buy apps preferring the free ones But I really don t regret this purchase It worth every cent I paid in this 15 bucks App                     Completely great Hatsumiu2

Wow I was about to lose my mind over the fact that my old G5 Mac was completely incompatible with the Macbook Pro when it came to merging Photo libraries and I spent hours at the apple store with specialists who couldn t figure out the problem After multiple attempts to erase my duplicates I always ended up with either losing a portion of the originals as well thank god for flash card backups or not getting the job done period This app is phenomenal as far as I m concerned I just erased 5340 duplicates in my I photo library giving me over 30GB or storage back I carefully checked about a hundred photos prior to pushing that enter button and I am happy to report that it did not only erase double and tripple duplicates but it also managed to preserve originals and their modified versions as i said WOW and congrats to the developers of this app I would easily pay 100 bucks for this one I can t tell you how relieved I am now that I can finally complete my edits on 15 years of history                     Finally an app that works Steamtrainaz

I purchased this package to clean up my son s MAC and found that he had all sorts of duplicates to the tune of more than 250 GB It took 10 minutes to show him it was unnecessary to buy a whole new computer In fact I used the package to review performance simpler snapshot visual than Activity Monitor searched for duplicates which enabled me to clean up a ehole mess of files copied from different locations with different titles the Disk Cleaner identified some applications that were Cache and Log hogs Disk View was the one that showed he had a whole Time Machine backup on his hard drive DUH Not sure how to best use Privacy Guard or App Uninstaller yet if at all In conclusion the bundle gives lots of options to discover how to clean up and use the storage and files optimally                     Excellent package of features OK price Sailbikeski

Perfectly priced at 15 full price is kinda questionable the app is easy on the eyes and all the features work as intended It reminds you to do a Time Machine backup before you commit to any changes which I appreciate and sends duplicate files to the trash also appreciated instead of permanently deleting them Dashboard Provides a nice overview of CPU memory usage disk space and network info and battery health if you re on a macbook DiskCleaner I know you re not supposed to delete the cache without some consideration so my strategy is to carefully look at the cache items selected and make sure to deselect any cache files for programs I use regurlarly i e Logic Audio Units Slack etc DuplicateFinder I make sure to deselect any cloud storage folders like Google Drive and Dropbox because I like having remote backups It can take some time to do a full disk scan but patience is key It does complete the task Just don t try to do anything else on your Mac while it scans It also shows you the original and duplicate files folder path with quick access to launch a finder window for each one making analysis of which to delete a breeze DiskView Supercool visual representation Like nesting dolls PrivacyGuard Works great Mainly just deletes browser data but it does look for adware which I didn t have but am thankful it checks Mainly bought this for the duplicate file finder but am happy with the overall product Definitely recommend Just make sure to do backups before committing to changes                     Stellar Software Great Price John From Earth

I like everything these guys develop for Mac people This is a great all around system check and cleaner Yea the PROBLEM is that it jams up every time on duplicates at 135 000 It clogs up my entire Mac and I have to shut down to start over You must fix this duplicate finder glitch as it is the one thing that really drops my feelings about the safety of using it                 all around good hlamart

Most functions don t work or work poorly For instance to use the Disk Cleaner you have to select a User folder for some reason I don t want to clean a User folder I want to clean a disk One would think that s why it says Disk cleaner Unfortunately if your user folder is not on the boot drive this DOES NOT work at all You select the folder and get beeped at and return to the Select User Folder window Disk View doesn t work either According to it all my boot drives only have three random files on them Completely useless     Almost useless nommek
